Someone posted this over at gamefaqs: Dragon Age: Origins 1,000,000 Words 1,000 Cinematics 1,000 Characters 56,000 Spoken Lines 60 Hours of Gameplay Dragon Age II 400,000 Words 2,500 Cinematics 500 Characters 38,000 Spoken Lines 40 Hours of Gameplay Main story is only 15 hours though but the game keeps you occupied with plenty of other quests. Some have even played 50 or more hours but I guess they are just playing slow. I'm about 20 hours in and nearing the end of Act 2 and there are 4 Acts so I will be in the 40 hour area. Dragon Age 2 makes up for the loss in game time with gameplay and more interesting quests. Most fans don't like this game compared to the original but honestly I don't see anything wrong with it. Its far from a hack-and-slash, which is what most critics call it, and it actually requires some strategy. Characters are better this time too although I do miss Alistair and his Carth-like whining.
