  1. My image of Brian Ching was completely destroyed when you called him chingy.

  2. Haha well you should tell him that next time you see him. Ching is a very down to earth kinda guy though, I'd kill to have a superstar like him on the Rockets.

  3. I agree with you completely about Lee, he's a fantastic player but again we could use a young big like Asik. However, we could always keep Lee and draft one of the many bigs in this year's draft (Vesely, Motiejunas, etc) but none of them are able to play the defense Asik can (except for maybe Jonas Val.) and the Rockets could certainly use the help right now for their playoff push. Oh I'm absolutely sure that the Rockets could get a better deal for Lee, but right now 'better' doesn't seem to be happening. Maybe something changes near the deadline though.
  4. You can't be serious, Ching is easily worth anywhere between half a million dollars - $2 million. I think the #2 overall pick this year got $200k+, a star like ching should be making alot more.

  5. But how often do you get the chance to acquire a promising young defensive center for a role player? Rarely, Asik isn't the player Lee is but the demand for players like him are very high while the supply is low. I'd love to able to get one of the big name centers in this year's free agency class but the chances of that happening without severely overpaying are slim. Also note that while Asik's minutes are limited, he has done a very solid job since Joakim Noah went down and he's also just a rookie.
  6. Read more: http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/210804/Bulls_Rockets_Discuss_Asik_For_Lee_Trade#ixzz1DaeZXXqP Asik is a promising young defensive big, hard to come by those but I'm skeptical about trading Courtney Lee. Sure he's not been having his best season but he's been solid in all areas and looks like the ideal role player for a championship contender team, and he still has room to grow. Tough decision to make but I wouldn't be opposed at all to this trade because the Rockets essentially trade nothing considering that they have Terrence Williams ready to take over Lee's playing time. Personally I'd rather trade Budinger but the Bulls seem intent on trading for Lee (rumors of them being interested for weeks). Fesenko is a decent alternative, he can't help immediately like Asik but he could be a solid role player down the road if developed.
  7. I bet Ching feels so [expletive]ty in that stadium. College kids everywhere etc

  8. lol nice, did you say anything to him? I'm the dynamo fan here and Ive never seen him=/

  9. Well then you are a true fan, last year I'd be with you though.

  10. Lol I was just trying to lure you/Chosen One out with that. A few of my thoughts on the game: -We don't suck, we're just mediocre, which is the worst and most frustrating place to be in the NBA. -I was disappointed with Brooks' performance, after the suspension Aaron looked like he got his head straight and I thought he could put together a decent game considering it was the Wolves. -Kyle Lowry is good but he's not starting point guard. Something has to change at the 1. -Courtney Lee is awesome, do not trade. -Where the hell was Patterson? -Adelman's ability to coach has been suspect lately.
  11. Isn't Durant shooting just 34% from three this year? Kevin Martin got snubbed.

  13. Trade deadline is in two weeks on the 24th. Melo is still a Nugget but will almost certainly be moved before the deadline. Where do you think he will end up? Personally the longer this situation has dragged out the more confident I feel that Carmelo will be in a Rocket jersey soon enough. From recent reports Morey and the front office are scrambling to put together a playoff team and could eventually get desperate enough to meet some of Denver's demands. Don't worry though Knicks fans, he'll be in New York in a couple of months.
  14. Anyone have any recommendations for a fantasy series? Nothing too cliched though please. Going to start on A Game of Thrones once my brother is done with it, I heard its on par with Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings.
  15. You know you suck when you can't beat the wolves when they didn't have 3 of their starters. Nice win though pups.
  16. Dorritos did great and a few of the beer commercials were pretty funny but everything else was crap.
  17. *and anticipate the future of the team

  18. I don't know my problem with the team this year, every time I watch them they are just so...dull. The team fights hard I will give them that but it hasn't been my cup of tea this year. Also its hard to watch a game when I don't know the direction of the team, I don't know if I should hoping for the win and a playoff spot or if I should be leaning more toward a loss and anticipat...

  19. Have you seen how happy Reggie Miller gets when Ray gets closer and closer to breaking his record? He's been waiting for this for a while now, I think he began the countdown about a year or two ago.
  20. Biedrins isn't worth his contract, I'd rather just try to sign Marc Gasol in the offseason.
  21. Lowry looked like he struggled tonight, why the 40 minutes when Ish was being far more productive? Also did anyone notice that Brad Miller hasn't played a minute in the past month until the Grizzlies game? Talk about a waste of cash. I could die happy.
  22. Aaron Brooks, I really doubt he survives past the trade deadline.
