  1. I remember you from a couple sims/forums. Welcome.
  2. Rockets creeping up on the Raptors for the #3 pick. Anyways I'm really looking forward to this game, the Rockets and Raptors gameday threads are some of the best . Should be fun.
  3. That was really the motto of the Rockets for so many years. Its depressing that the fire in them is no longer there.
  4. Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/70146/20101118/blazers_held_internal_discussions_on_offering_roy_in_trade_proposals/#ixzz15ehlZcaw If this is true then I don't see why Portland shouldn't at the very least explore trade possibilities with other teams while his trade value is still high. Some team may be willing to get give up a lot for him but of course if the value isn't so good then they might as well keep him and see if he can recover.
  5. I don't know the Rockets always seem to disappoint us early on the season (2004-05 they started 6-11 and 2007-08 we were 24-20 and 10th in the Western Conference before the 22 game winning streak), but they always seem to pull through when we hit the second half of the season. Same goes for Adelman, I can't remember how many times I have criticized him over the years but once the postseason arrives the man is a genius. However, something feels different about the Rockets this year and that may likely be due to our sloppy defense. Every Rockets team that Rick has coached has held Jeff Van Gundy's defensive values in the back of their minds, which made them a top 5 defensive team every season but with the remaining players from the Van Gundy era (Battier, Yao) on their last legs it seems there is no one else to hold those values. Still even with that aside, the Rockets as a whole have played great team defense and I don't know understand why everyone just suddenly stopped rotating, playing like they care on the defensive end, etc.
  6. I just wanted to say wolves are 4~9 D=

  7. Cavs would have to finish at least 6th in the conference for him to win it simply because they are in the East.
  8. Bonner because he can actually be productive when the threes are falling for him. He's coming off a 21 points (7-7 from behind the arc) performance too.
  9. Rockets back to their losing way =(

Rick Adelman has lost control of his team.

The games are so depressing to watch it really sucks.

Rick just seems as lost as everyone else on defense.

Lol yeah I usually stop watching like halfway.

  10. Definitely Barnes but Perry Jones is just gushing potential, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he is in the conversation for the #1 pick (assuming he puts together a solid season).
  11. Oden has the tools and talent to be a rebounding and defensive juggernaut but unfortunately he's never been able to show that off besides that one season he was somewhat healthy (2009 I believe). I'm not sure if the Blazers will bring him back next season but I wouldn't completely rule it out because they did invest a number one overall pick in him. Even if he is done in Portland, some team will want him if he signs for less than the MLE.
  12. I wouldn't expect too much out of him even in the d-league, everything I read about him during the weeks leading up to the draft screamed long-term project and the fact that he is already 22 does hurt him a little. However, the Raptors merely gave up cash considerations for him so its not like they are taking on much of a risk. Anyways I'll be keeping tabs on this thread throughout the season, hope he does well because the guy has plenty of potential.
  13. I'm going Saturday. So stoked.
  14. Wharton County Junior College, will transfer to the University of Houston next or the following year.
  15. Oh man Love is down, said he heard something pop.
  16. Watching Beasley and Kevin Love fill up the stat sheet is a thing of beauty.

  18. I think energy players like Ibaka are better suited for the bench but they might as well give it a shot.
  19. ^More than a week I think. Rockets staff just being extra careful with Yao. Our guys need to hold the fort down till they think he's ready, tough to do that though with Bud and Aaron out.
  20. Part of me just wants Yao to go because frankly this is getting old.
  21. Anyways frustrations aside this loss was not so bad, Martin is rarely this ineffective offensively (I guess that says a lot about the Bulls defense) and we were missing 3 key players, We had a few good stretches defensively, which is another good sign, Rick just play Hill, he makes such a big impact on the boards and on the defensive end.
  22. Nah i loved how he started fouling 30 seconds left and his [expletive]t substitutions even more, Refs were garbage too, I mean they review our questionable plays but not the bulls?
