The path traveled by the 25th overall pick of the 2008 draft
Dash replied to Dash's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Houston had a $10 million for 4 year deal on the table for Artest but Yao's injury is what caused them to back down and move on to signing Ariza. What I don't understand is if Morey and the Rockets were so intent on making the 2010 playoffs and then competing for a championship the following, why wasn't Artest resigned? Yao's injury last season wasn't career ending, it just meant a (likely) one season break from the playoffs. Like I've said in past threads its like Morey is in between rebuilding and competing, not being entirely committed to either one. He's still a top 3 gm in my book but letting go of Ron is a real head-scratcher. -
What kind of player would you rather have on your team?

It shouldn't matter when you get those points as long as you get them. 24 ppg guy easily, who sounds an awfully lot like Kevin Martin. -
Update: Dampier to Heat basically done (pg. 1)
Dash replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
He's physical and Miami desperately needs some toughness down low. I don't think he's bad as people make him out to be but him showing up out of shape didn't help him much. Hopefully the Heat staff can get him back into top shape and play like he cares. -
Spo just doesn't have the respect of the players nor can he control the big egos on the team. Its not necessarily his fault but when you have 3 big personas on one team, you're going to need a coach with the balls and respect to control those egos. I can understand that Pat wants to turn his protege into that coach but unfortunately its not working out and Riley needs to step in.

Not necessarily saying that the Heat would be 14-0 right now or whatever, but I do think that a lot of people are underestimating the impact a Mike Miller could have on this team. Consistent three point shooter, great team player, etc...he's really the complete package as far as role players goes. James Jones and Eddie House have been great from behind the arc but Miller brings a whole lot when he's on the court imo. Thoughts?

I think a lot of people are just falling in love with Blake's explosiveness. Both are incredibly athletic but Dwight gets the edge for me.

Yep once again the Rockets have huge expiring contracts at their disposal. We could either trade them in hopes of getting back an all-star or we could let them expire and target some key free agents (Marc Gasol or Thad Young anyone?). Nando De Colo? Morey rapes this deal.
-
Pretty much. Battier is a team defender and when your team can't defense its just him out there alone and he looks more useless than he actually is.
-
I'd trade him for a second rounder and Vassilis Spanoulis. But we need his expiring contract in case anything happens around the trade deadline.
-
Sometimes I forget Battier is even on the team, he just fazes out of the tv screen like Derek Fisher.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?
Dash replied to Cavamatic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Maybe dinner with friends and family but I'm not sure if I will be able to. -
Crap looks like I actually missed something. -_-
-
Did not watch this game, thank god. Jordan Hill and Courtney Lee look like did really well judging from the box score.
-
I'm glad I didn't end up buying tickets for this game because I was expecting the Rockets to be playing better when I was considering about buying the tickets (either this or the Wednesday game). However, if this game turns out to be a nail-biter and we win the game on a Kevin Martin buzzer beater, I will shoot myself in the foot.
-
Don't think so but with our defense I wouldn't get too comfortable.
-
I don't have a good feeling about this game at all.
-
I meant which movie of Harry Potter you were watching. -_- Books were probably better but as far as movies, I definitely agree with this. Although I did like Ron a whole lot more when he was a kid, mostly because he sounded so retarded when he threw a fit. Anyways I'm going to go on a Harry Potter book/movie marathon in preparation for part 2. However, I am a very slow reader so I doubt I get more than a book or two done in time.

Lol well this is probably the last time I'm ever going to believe in the WWE writing staff again.
-
Finally the only match that matters.
-
Lol lame. Oh well only match I actually had expectations for Orton vs Barrett.
-
Woot go Edge.
-
Tag match was lame but expected especially with Mysterio.
