Portland has had injuries to key players (Fernandez, Batum, etc) throughout the season and lost Greg Oden and Pryzbilla for the season. In the past week they have most notably beaten the Lakers and Magic. They are currently 25-16. Houston has lost their franchise, Yao Ming, for the season, Tracy McGrady due to drama, and Ron Artest via free agency. Houston has no stars and held the NBA's hardest schedule (according to ESPN) up to this point in the season. Houston is currently 22-8, holding onto the 8th seed.

Lowry is overrated by Rockets fans. We complain about Ariza's shooting woes all the time but Lowry can't shoot worth crap.
-
He's been streaky all season long except now he's just damn awful. It has been said that he hasn't fully recovered from his surgery last season but I don't know for sure.

The Rockets are 2-5 in 2010. @ Hornets: 99-95 @ Lakers: 88-79 @ Suns: 118-110 Knicks: 105-96 @Bobcats: 102-94 Timberwolves: 120-114 Heat: 115-106 It took three overtimes to beat the worst team in the Western Conference. Rocket statistics for 2010 Aaron Brooks Averages: 22.3 points per game, 4.3 assists, 1 steal and 3 turnovers. Shooting: 45% FG, 43.1% 3P, 84.4% FT. Carl Landry Averages: 14.7 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.6 turnovers. Shooting: 52.5% FG, 70.4% FT. Trevor Ariza Averages: 15.6 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 3 turnovers. Shooting: 40.4% FG, 29.5% 3P, 69.6% FT. Luis Scola Averages: 15.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 turnovers. Shooting: 55.6% FG, 68.8% FT. Shane Battier Averages: 7.1 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1 steal, 1.1 blocks and 1.4 turnovers. Shooting: 30.9% FG, 32.4% 3P, 55.6% FT. Out of the Rockets top 5 players, Ariza has been streaky and Shane has been awful shooting wise. Lowry is in that boat as well while Brooks, Scola, and Landry have been efficient. Do you think this is merely a slump or have opposing teams found out how to beat the starless Rockets?

Holy crap, one point game.

Rockets held an early 17 point lead but Minny is fighting back. Love what I'm seeing from both teams.

Kobe is obviously hurting.

^Good point and I doubt Adelman will be happy having to coach with such a brain dead big. He would only get 10-15 minutes next season backing up Yao and I wouldn't be all too surprised if he was dropped out of the rotation in favor of Chuck Hayes. This has come up before but its been only briefly talked about among Rockets fans. What if Houston is targeting the 2011 free agency? With Yao, Battier and Dally's contracts coming off the books we would have freed up roughly $37-38 million. Its not the biggest free agency considering most of the big names are restricted, but maybe the Rockets can come out with a solid player or two. Again, Houston has to be convinced that they can compete for a championship next season if we were to pull the trigger. What I am worried about though is that Iggy's style of play will have Houston's offense back to the old days of T-Mac/Yao. Iggy will have the ball in his hands trying to create something and the rest just standing around waiting for something to happen.

Houston reportedly won't take on Dalembert unless they are convinced that they will be contenders next season.
-
Terrible blow for Blake and the Clippers. Hopefully he comes back strong next season.

How bad would we be without Kobe?
Dash replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Pau should be the focal point in the offense and don't forget that Artest has a few years of experience as a primary option. As long as Odom and Bynum play decent, you guys are a playoff team for sure. -

Lost a double digit point lead. -_- We've been on a slump lately.

Wizards and Bulls are near the top of Rockets' wish list

They must be very desperate to shed salary to even consider that deal. -
