  1. That might be it but by each passing day I begin to doubt any possible deal happening even more. The only other two buyers in the league right now (Dallas, Cleveland) make better trading partners than we do. Dallas is willing to part with Josh Howard and Cleveland isn't as picky as Houston is in the deal, they wouldn't mind taking back salary. In fact in recent reports it seems that the Sixers front office is favoring a deal Cleveland (I don't know about Dallas) over the Rockets because they might be willing to take back Dalembert. I don't mind that though, Houston is actually playing smart but not wanting to take on Dalembert (especially with the talk of a lockout next season). There was an 'insider' on the Sixers board and supposedly Philly offered a Lou Williams/Iggy/Dalembert for T-Mac/Lowry deal but Houston turned it down.
  2. Wtf Sheed was WIDE OPEN and airballed it.
  3. Ray Allen is unbelievable tonight.
  4. Inspired from a convo with Slaven a while back. I've known Kenny Onyechi ever since the 6th grade. This year, he plays for the Long Island Blackbirds and has been a pleasant surprise for them as a freshman. He has started every single game for them averaging 9.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg and 2.5 bpg in about 27 minutes a game. Link to profile Also went to school with Trevor Teykl, a top baseball prospect. -Quote from baseball beginnings. How about you guys? Know anyone?
  5. ^I see. In that case sign me up. Full name: Taha Zeeshan Mohiuddin. I prefer my middle name over my first if that is of any importance.
  6. I've always wanted to try it but my activity is on and off so I can't really promise much. Lately I've been trying to get back to writing but struggled finding the time.
  7. We had a good lead after the first but it was all down hill from there. That seems to be happening a lot lately, it seems that Houston is only a 'energy drink' type team. We play hard and have amazing stretches where everyone is executing and playing defense but then eventually that all wears off and we crash. It might have a lot to do with the fact that Houston has indeed been figured out, I know I've said it before but not I'm sure of it now more than ever. Also Brooks-Ariza cannot co-exist, Ariza was clicking well with Lowry on the floor but he was abysmal when Aaron came back.
  8. First time since 2001 that a Houston Rocket didn't make the ASG.
  9. Anyone else watched it today? I thought it was a very well done speech. He even had brief moments of partisan support for the first time in his presidency. Video to speech Transcript
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSKUu65lpCU Ariza loves playing the Nuggets.
  11. Link Wow, thoughts? Do you think this could be another 2008 (or was it 2007?) lockout, something bigger or no lockout at all?
  12. Link I wouldn't pull them out of the running but the 3-40 record is definitely a turnoff for two stars looking to win a championship.
  13. Happy anniversary everyone! My username was desi tmac91 for the first 2-3 years here but then I decided to change it to Dash about a year ago. I can't recall much right now, some have already been posted but the '2008 Election' thread was one of my all-time favorites...so much win! Or how about the Rockets curse thread? Remember when Lone Wolf called out Slaven's curse and then Al Jefferson busted his knee the same day
  14. I hate Clyde Drexler (as a commentator) with a passion. I miss Calvin Murphy.
  15. The other two teams teams gunning for Amare are the Wolves and Warriors. Both can put together a decent package especially the Warriors who almost pulled the trigger on a deal draft night.
  16. Link 5 Texans on the roster, nice to see Schaub get the recognition he deserves even if it because of an injury.
  17. ^The owner is definitely a racist but personally I don't see anything wrong with a whites only league.
  18. Rockets fans seem to hate him as much as Rafer Alston, if not more. Anyways he is no where near worthy right now, the only reason he is so high on the vote returns is mainly because of China. He used to chuck a lot in games but recently has chipped his field goal attempts from few weeks back, and has shown some more improvement. I cringe sometimes when he handles the ball...like in yesterday's game there were about 3-4 bone headed plays by Ariza that made me want to scream. His three point shot has also been horrific. Morey and Adelman believe in the guy and those two are rarely wrong when they got their sights on a player. He's got the tools to develop into an all-star if well groomed but its going to take a while, I wouldn't be surprised if it took all year long.
  19. I have a gut feeling that it might be Anthony Randolph on his way out.
  20. Link Wow I hope these reports aren't true. Grizzlies have been rolling and I hate it if they end up trading arguably their most talented wing. Although if Memphis really feels Gay won't be back next season then it would be best to try and get some assets back in return.
  21. I'm not confident, we've been playing pretty bad lately. Maybe things change tonight...
