Judging from the signing of Caron Butler and their pursuit of other small forwards, the Clippers don't appear have much faith in Aminu and I can't blame them.

I'm honestly beginning to think that the Wolves' pick isn't all that. Adelman has proven time and time again that he help a team win games even without a true star (see the Rockets in 2010 without McGrady, Yao or Artest) and if the Wolves can turn some of their young talent into a guy like Kevin Martin then they could be on the way up in the standings. Not saying that they will make the playoffs but there is a good chance their pick won't be in the top 5.

Timberwolves are after Kevin Martin

I don't know what the offense is going to end up looking like exactly but word is that we're keeping much of Adelman's offense. This is why the Rockets promoted Chris Finch to be McHale's offensive coordinator because he's been running the same offense down in the D-League for two years and won a championship while he was at it too. Also if the Wolves do end up keeping Wes, I'm really looking forward to seeing how he does in Adelman's offense. -
No Eric Gordon? Amazing deal for the Clippers if this actually gets the nod from Stern.

True but to be a threat in the playoffs we need a perimeter player who can explode for 20+ points a game to compliment Gasol/Scola, Lowry is nice but not even close to the scorer Martin is. If we got Gasol then I could see Houston doing the same thing they did last year, which was play Martin for about 30 minutes and then Lee gets the rest of the PT. I would love to deal Budinger for a defender to help balance out that lineup. -

Bud is more athletic and the slightly better shooter (don't let the statistics fool you, Wes can shoot) but Wes Johnson is more balanced and brings some defense/rebounder, which is what we need on this team. Also if we get Marc Gasol, I'd be more inclined to keep Martin. Lowry/Martin/Bud/Scola/Gasol is a nice starting lineup. -

What's not to like besides his age? From what I've seen Wes is solid and was misused by Rambis all of last season. Good shooter, a good defender, a good teammate...well rounded player. He's better than Budinger at least. -
No surprise with Rick Adelman as their head coach. Would love to pick up Wesley Johnson if we were rebuilding, no interest at all in Ridnour and we could have some use for Pekovic or Darko. Anthony Randolph was impressive late last season and the Rockets' have shown interest in him before. However, if Houston is looking to make the playoffs then I don't think they go for it. Still an intriguing package and one worth considering.

This would make him the 4th point guard on the team.

ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein NBA teams just notified that Gilbert Arenas, released by Orlando via the amnesty clause, has cleared waivers and becomes free agent ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein So no cap-room teams chose to bid on Arenas and he's free to negotiate w/anyone. Told he hopes to land on same team that trades for Dwight

Would be an amazing move by the Pacers to pick up Mayo as well.

Just hit 5k.

Kind of confused with all this. Why amnesty cut Thabeet when you know Memphis will match? If we sign Marc to the offer sheet then we're probably going to be stuck for 3 days without being able to sign other centers. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AumNytWWT.VYXpFxu9Z2fze8vLYF?slug=ys-free_agent_buzz_121111

Yeah everyone is going nuts.

So apparently Memphis offered Gasol more than his offer sheet with Houston but instead he's choosing to sign with us. Is he trying to force his way out of Memphis or is he using the Rockets as leverage for a true max contract from the Grizzlies?
-
Love it but Memphis will definitely match.

WHAT A COMEBACK.
-
More likely he resigns with the Nuggets.

I wish we could just blow this team up and finally rebuild, won't win many games with Hasheem Thabeet as our starting center.
