  1. The [expletive]? How does Houston mix in with this?
  2. AlexKennedyNBA Alex Kennedy I've talked to a number of agents today. They all believe that David Stern will eventually allow the CP3 trade to go through. We'll see.
  3. Feigan caught up with Martin and Scola and both were very professional about it, basically accepted that the NBA is a business and players are moved all the time. Martin went as far to say that he was "blessed" to have his career revived here in Houston.
  4. I'm pissed off for two reasons right now 1) shows how rigged this league is 2) Rockets plans were CENTERED around this deal, rather go forward with whatever Morey was planning than be left in shambles like this.
  5. http://blog.chron.com/nba/2011/12/taking-a-deal-from-done-to-dead-david-stern-steps-in-stabs-rockets-others-in-the-back/ So yeah, basically Houston is [expletive]ed. Thanks Dan Gilbert. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/09/sports/basketball/paul-set-to-join-lakers-as-part-of-3-team-deal.html?_r=1&src=tp What the [expletive]? Paul HAS to have a case if this is true.
  6. [expletive] this league. Seriously I hated this deal from the start but it was pretty clear that Houston had a plan in motion once they got Gasol, they were already working on short time as it is with Chuck Hayes trying to force them to make a contract offer now. Now I have no clue what we're doing, we're stuck. I wouldn't blame Morey if he just said "[expletive] it" and went home.
  7. ESPN just reported that the deal is "on hold", Paul won't report to Hornets training camp and will consult players union.
  8. RicBucher Ric Bucher Reports are owners squashed Hou-LA-NO deal, citing conflict of interest for NBA-owned NO. But sources say Pau didn't want to go to Hou, too.
  9. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Several GM's were lauding the haul of players and the draft pick that Demps was able to get back for Chris Paul in the deal. Now what?
  10. They probably don't want another super team around. Really I don't get why the NBA bought the Hornets in the first place, seemed like a disaster from the start.
  11. We are screwed. Morey just spent an entire day working on a deal that is now dead, seemed like he had another move or two up his sleeve too. Chuck's agent was pushing for the Rockets to make an offer ASAP and we kept asking for more time to complete the CP3 deal and sign Nene. No idea what Morey does now.
  12. I was actually beginning to warm up to the thought of Pau in a Rockets jersey. Oh well.
  13. What I don't get is what the owners expect the Lakers to do with Paul. Do they expect them to just let him walk and get no value in return?
  14. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski The NBA has killed the proposed deal to send Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, league sources tell Yahoo! Sports.
  15. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Owners were irate in Board of Governors meeting with Stern, livid that the league-owned Hornets were allowed to make Paul deal, sources say. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski The NBA is now pushing New Orleans GM Dell Demps to pull the plug on the trade and keep Chris Paul, league sources tell Y! Sports.
  16. Even if the Rockets were to get Nene, is handing him a near max contract wise?
  17. ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein It was not immediately clear, sources said, if three-way trade involving Hornets, Lakers and Rockets is merely snagged or in jeopardy ESPNSteinLine Marc Stein ESPN CP3 trade latest: Trade with Lakers will NOT go through Friday and Chris Paul is expected in Hornets camp, according to sources
  18. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski NBA owners have pushed commissioner David Stern to kill the deal sending Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell Y! Sports.
