We're thinking of starting another one sometime soon but with a few tweaks I think will make it much more successful than our last one. For those of you not familiar, the basic concept of a mock is to hold a fantasy draft then trade with other teams and then crown one winner at the end of the season. Not exactly how we would run it this time but that is basically how we did the last one. Anyways the fantasy draft will at least be 8 rounds, maybe we'll do the full 12 rounds but that is up to Real Deal and the rest of the board. Only trades allowed are going to be during draft night and maybe a few extra hours for any last minute deals before the window is closed. I felt a big reason the mock didn't work out last time was because the trading period was too long and everyone eventually lost interest. Instead just a day or so after we complete the fantasy draft, which is when interest is at its highest, we're going to start the playoffs. Playoffs would be the big new addition. RD or someone will have to sort out the teams into conferences and seedings and we will begin the playoffs shortly after. The playoffs are actually going to be a debate, team owners will need to provide an opening argument which explains why their team is better and provides some offensive/defensive strategies (such as defending Dwayne Wade or how you intend to score with a monster like Dwight Howard in the post, etc). Instead of judges, every member of this forum is free to vote for any matchup (excluding the participants in the current playoff series). Your team could be inferior to your matchup but with the right reasoning and strategy, you could sway the voters your way. However, if your matchup is a signifcantly superior team then your opening argument might be of little use no matter how good it is. By the way, arguments may be short and sweet or a long analysis, your choice so long as it gets the point across. Here are the proposed rules for playoffs (subject to change): * GMs get one post each to outline why they think they'll win * GMs then get one post each to counter the points of the other * All votes are done through posts with a good "reason for voting" post

Ron Paul but there is no way he gets ahead of either Romney or Perry. -
Same team that reached out to Kobe and signed Deron Williams. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/6848759/oklahoma-city-thunder-kevin-durant-early-stages-contract-negotiations-turkish-team-agent-says

Mixed feelings about this being the last season. House has certainly been regressing every season during the past couple of years, but its still one of the top TV shows currently airing. What a blow it'll be to viewers to lose Lost, 24 and House in the past few years and there is nothing decent to replace them.

So I am officially halfway to 40 years old. -_-

How much of an improvement is it over last year's game? I'm thinking about getting this instead of NBA 2k12.

I'm fine with where I am right now but I'd move if someone else wants a reassignment to the NW.

Read this a while ago but I'll post a review anyway. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-U8QB6JCrpoQ/TezdHyqClWI/AAAAAAAAAFY/ehTElqKLUNo/s1600/Game-of-thrones.jpg 9/10 Game of Thrones has a VERY interesting concept, instead of following just one characters throughout the series, you are given about a dozen. Most characters critical to the plot are given chapters from their own point of view, and some may be the villains of another point of view. Some characters you'd expect to get POVs don't such as Robb and Renly but you see them enough in some of the other character's POV. Only thing keep it from a perfect 10 is that the beginning was a tad slow, but considering that its the first book of 7 its to be expected. The plot was gritty and kept you glued to the book until the very last chapter, tons of twists and turns and no character is shielded from being "too important in this plot". Meaning tons of characters do die during the course of the series, some you might be pissed about and some that you will rejoice about. Speaking of the characters, Martin does a solid in characterization and several of his characters stick out and become some of your favorites early on the book (Ned, Jon Snow, Tyrion are personally my top 3). There are a couple characters that I despise and I have to force myself to read through their chapters (Bran, Sansa and Dany are the worst), which is another reason I can't give Game of Thrones a perfect 10 but plot is gripping enough that you'll bear through it. Anyways I highly recommend Game of Thrones and the rest of the A Song of Ice and Fire series, its one of the very best new book series on the market.

Apparently we have $9-12 million still left to spend on free agency. Not sure why he'd pick the Texans when we're going to be offering basically the same contract as everyone else.
