  2. Two big FA Cup Semifinals tomorrow: Liverpool vs Everton Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea I'll take Liverpool and Chelsea.
  3. Second one was the best to me. Always love seeing shots from that distance go in.
  4. Man I really hate not being able to watch games during the week. Somehow Manchester United falls to Wigan 1-0, while Manchester City blasts West Bromwich 4-0. United's lead now down to just 5 points and the title race just got a tad bit more interesting. One more misstep from United and the Manchester derby could be the deciding factor in who wins the league. The 4-0 victory over West Bromwich helps City even more if goal differential is needed.
  5. Would you guys like me to start making the Gameday Discussion threads like I did last year?
  6. Clint Dempsey scores again! This time to tie the game against Chelsea today. Really just an unbelievable season he is having this year. 16 goals in the Premier League and 22 goals in all competitions.
  7. Product of the University of Georgia.
  8. What a phenomenal between Real Madrid and Valencia. Despite neither team scoring a goal, it was highly entertaining on both ends of the field for the both teams. Either team really could've secured a late 1-0 victory having multiples chances to do so. Can't say I expected a draw going into this game. This isn't the result Real Madrid needed though. With this draw, Real Madrid is only up 4 points on Barcelona. Looks like the La Liga title will be going down to the wire.
  9. Any chance that Manchester City had at winning the Premier League title is now gone. They looked and played absolutely awful against Arsenal this morning. I also cannot believe Mancini still have the clown that is Balotelli in the starting XI, much less on the team. Dude can't keep his emotions in check and it costs the team each and every game. Really hope he gets sold in the summer, although I can't see anyone having much of an interest in him after his recent performances. I knew the eight point lead City had on United in December was too good to be true.
  10. Winnipeg Jest or New York Jest?
  11. Don't see that too often.
  12. Messi scored twice today making his total throughout all competitions 60 and has 23 goals in his last 12 games. Really no words to describe how good is playing.
  13. Starting to regret dropping Clint Dempsey now too. No chance of getting him back after what the brace he scored today did to his value.
  14. Clint Dempsey had a brace today in Fulham's 3-0 win over Bolton. That puts him at 15 goals in the Premier League and 21 goals through all competitions. Got to wonder how much consideration he is getting for EPL Player of the Year.
  15. You could argue the same thing in regards to the English Premier League this year. While the point differential isn't as drastically different in the EPL, it's still pretty large. Man U is 5 ahead of Man City, who is 13 points ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham. In La Liga, Real Madrid is up 6 on Barcelona, who is 24 points ahead of Valencia. Both Also FWIW, Man United got dominated by Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League. Funny thing is, Athletic Bilbao currently sits in 11th place in La Liga.
  16. Just three weeks after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field, Fabrice Muamba is walking again according to Bolton boss Owen Coyle. Pretty incredible.
  17. A total of five Spanish teams are in the semifinals of the Champions League and Europa League. Safe to say it's the best league in the world?
  18. Even if everything go well, I just can't see the Mets not losing more than 90 games.
  19. Not this year. Playoffs for sure next year though.
  20. Eh, don't remind me. Health is going to be key all season long for our starting rotation. With Hudson still recovering from back surgery and Lowe gone we don't really have anyone who can rack up innings. My main concern though is in the infield at SS and 3B. Tyler Pastornicky, who was named starting SS a couple of days ago has no MLB experience and Juan Francisco who we just got in trade recently is meh. Should be a fun year in the NL East though, at least for the Phillies, Braves, Marlins, and Nationals. Not so much for the Mets other than seeing Johan Santana return to the mound.
