  1. Haha well I didn't mean friend as in "actual friend" Like just a person on here that youre cool with and all, if u know what i mean
  2. Ha well the only reason I said him is b/c im friends w/him in real life, and hes the one who recruited me to this site in the first place
  3. Ha i saw this topic at CTS so I was like "why not" For me, im not really sure since im cool w/just about everybody here, but ima go with Ballorama
  4. I guess it's not really an upset, but people are expecting Boston to win the series now, so it seems like one
  5. I actually think the Magic will pull an upset and come back in this series. Maybe not win it, but they should make things interesting
  6. Welcome to OTR, stay active and have fun posting!
  7. You should write this at Bleacher Report, I'm sure it's better than all the other crap that people post there
  8. I know it's a time for sports fans to be optimistic about their team, so I'm gonna let you post why YOUR team is good enough to win the big one. No Bills, Rams, or Lions fans please. For me, I think the reason why the Vikings will win the Super Bowl is because they have a great team overall. They have a dominant front four. Brett Favre is most likely coming back, and off of his best season yet. Adrian Peterson scored more touchdowns last year than the entire Rams offense. Finally, the Vikings can't choke forever, they gotta pull through eventually, right? :glasses:
  9. Carter is an 8x All-Star, with an impressive resume, including being the slam-dunk champion. I think he's in, maybe not a lock, but he'll get in.
  10. Why? They are both 5x All-Stars, which is right about at the cut-off point for the HOF, in both football and basketball. In football, there are plenty of 5x Pro Bowlers that aren't in the HOF (i.e. Ricky Watters, Irving Fryar, Donovan McNabb) I don't see why it has to be any different in basketball. Yes, Miller was an extremely good 3-point shooter, and a clutch player. I think he should be in. But not having a championship will definitely hurt his argument.
  11. I'm thinking we might see a younger quarterback win MVP this season, like Aaron Rodgers or Tony Romo, but for all we know, it could just be Peyton Manning again If a running back is gonna win either one, it will probably be Jones-Drew or Chris Johnson again. If a wide receiver is gonna win OPOY (probably not MVP considering a wide receiver hasn't won MVP since Jerry Rice in 1987), it's probably gonna be either Miles Austin or Steve Smith (Panthers)
  12. I'll take Rockets in 6 Hakeem is just too much of a weapon to ignore
  13. Alright, list players here that had a very good and storied career, but don't quite measure up to Hall of Fame standards. This includes past and current players (if you measure their progress up to this point in time) - Mark Jackson (has the career stats, but mostly a stats accumulator, only lead the league once in assists) - Chris Webber (actually, I'm not quite sure on this guy) - Ben Wallace (4 GREAT years, but that's about it) - Reggie Miller (great 3-point shooter, but he doesn't have a championship)
  14. Voted for East cuz I'm also a Celtics fan, if you didn't know that Although idk why the NBA Finals wasn't an option here
  15. If the Mavs pick him up, maybe they can win a few But hard to say. Unless that happens, I don't see him winning more than 1. And on an unrelated note, 100th post!
  16. Um im surprised nobody's mentioned this yet, but the Nets trading Dr. J to the 76ers for $3 million was pretty damn bad
  17. It wouldn't be a bad idea to trade Dirk at this point, though it seems crazy the Mavs could get a lot for him and at this point they need anything they can get.
  18. Lol yeah I didn't say he was an elite coach, they never really won big or anything but at least he brought them out of a really bad period of play.
  19. Wow, 0.077 seconds XD EDIT: Just got to 12.636, i guess thats decent EDIT2: 15.326
  20. Haha I actually did this once, and my friends were there and we were laughing so hard cuz she seriously thought I was dumping her Although I wish I had cuz she dumped me like 2 weeks later, and I ended up looking like the loser that got dumped =(
  21. Dang, if only it wasn't prison then I wouldn't mind going there lol
  22. I talk about this a lot with my friend, so I thought I ask other people what type of car they prefer. I made this on CTS as well, and it got good results, so I thought I'd give it a shot here. So vote or post what type of car you prefer. Here are the choices (with pictures!): Small sedan: http://www.tuningnews.net/news/070724a/honda-civic-mugen-si-sedan-2008.jpg Cars like this are like smaller versions of normal cars, like the Honda Civic, which is a smaller version of the Accord, in case you didn't know that, which I'm assuming you did. Mid-size sedan: http://www.ridelust.com/wp-content/uploads/2009_Nissan_Altima_Sedan_5_544x408-500x375.jpg This is like your average car that you see on the streets, like the Nissan Altima. Convertible: http://www.automedia.com/NewCarBuyersGuide/photos/2005/Chrysler/Sebring/Convertible/2005_Chrysler_Sebring_ext_1.jpg These cars have tops that fold down for open-air driving, for example, the Chrysler Sebring. Coupe: http://ui16.gamespot.com/1167/mitsubishi3000gt_2.jpg This type of car has only 2 doors and 2 small seats in the back, like the Mitsubishi 3000GT. Roadster: http://hondagigharbor.com/media/Models/11/2009-Honda-S2000-CR-Blue-Top-Front.jpg This type of small car has only 2 seats, and usually has smaller but more powerful engines, like the Honda S2000. Small SUV: http://edwindsyam.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/ford_escape.jpg These are cars that are seated higher up and are suited for occasionally putting big things in an expanded trunk, like a Ford Escape. Midsized SUV: http://allworldcars.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/2009-nissan-murano-1.jpg These cars are more suited for carrying around a family and are versatile, like the Nissan Murano. Large SUV: http://wayneswheels.net/Giovanna_Canelli_Chevy_Tahoe.jpg These cars usually have a 3rd row of seats and are well suited for towing and carrying items and large groups of people, such as the Chevy Tahoe. Pickup: http://castrolporto.tripod.com/galeria/Dodge_20Ram_20SRT-10_202004_20-_201024x768.jpg These have large beds for towing heavy loads of cargo and have lots of power, such as this Dodge Ram. Once again, I'm assuming you have prior knowledge of most of, if not all of, these cars, but I still described each car above there just in case. I like the hardtop coupes. Right now I drive an '01 Honda Accord, but I'm about to get a Mitsubishi 3000GT when I turn 18. I personally dislike small SUVs because they are higher up and harder to drive than cars, even though they are about the same size. I think that if you're gonna get an SUV, it has to be a decent-sized SUV, or else the concept of SUV is wasted. I didn't include any luxury version cars because obviously everybody would vote for that type of car. Just to clear things up again, you're voting for the TYPE of car, not the example car. I also didn't include minivans or small hatchbacks because I hate those types of vehicles.
  23. Wow, I wouldn't apologize for not winning a Super Bowl. The guy did the best he could, it's not his fault he tried to make good receivers out of mediocre ones. I mean, when was the last time somebody won a Super Bowl with receivers of the same quality as Freddie Mitchell and Todd Pinkston? Philly fans need to shut up and realize that a quarterback doesn't make a team. McNabb got way too much heat in that city, even after he played on a broken ankle and had a career game.
