DETROIT (AP)—Ben Wallace(notes) says he’ll sign a two-year contract soon with the Detroit Pistons.

Wallace told The Associated Press on Sunday he heard from a lot of teams, but agreed to a two-year deal about a week ago because he wants to retire with the Pistons. He’ll make $1.9 million each season.

Whatever. Good news but he didn't make a good decision. He should of sign with a title contending team that will get him a ring before he retires. Anyways, Good move for the Pistons. Even though they got a good rookie, Wallace will help them on the defensive end and rebounding part.

I disagree on you saying he made a bad decision. You may value a player who hops onto a great team to play a minimal role and win a championship, but I find it admirable that he decided to stay and play for the team that he spent most of his career with, even though they're practically a lock for the lottery. Now that's loyalty.

doesn't make a whole lotta sense that he chose to stay in detroit.. i would've also thought he would try and go to maybe miami or somewhere that can contend for another title for him and where he can still play quite a bit of minutes. good move for Detroit because he can still rebound and defend in the paint. he still has alotta worth in the NBA because of those 2 qualities tht he has.

He did establish himself in Detroit when they gave him the opportunity to do so...we all saw how bad he did in Chicago and Cleveland and staying in Detroit until retirement is a good decision as he isn't particular desperate for rings.
