Also...in the playoffs, it does not really matter how good your pitching staff is as a whole, but in a lot of cases, just how good your starting rotation is 1-3 and your 8th and 9th inning guys. So, I think that the Padres/Reds would have problems with the Giants, Braves, Cardinals, or Phillies, especially in a short series. The Padres have the best pitching staff overall from top to bottom, 1-13, but that does not necessarily mean much in the postseason. But I'd still like their chances more than the other teams listed in the original post.

 

But yes, as Fish said, it depends on who is hot.
