Just a poll to ask what our community thinks about dropping the word censor.

But first, realize that this does NOT mean you will be allowed to personally attack anyone, and racist comments will still get you banned (I may continue to censor a couple of racial slurs, actually).

Vote and explain, please.

I say yes. On a sports forum I don't think an abundance of cursing will be a major issue, and I think for the most part the members here are *gasp* mature enough to handle it. I am sure there will be a few members who will go overboard with it if the censor is lifted, but they can be dealt with individually.

I voted yes, I think a few expletives help make a point that you'd like to emphasize. I agree that they shouldn't be used as attacks on other members, and it would have to be policed fairly diligently. But I generally enjoy a good expletive here and there :)

See I prefer the word censor because I don't have to censor what I'm saying. I can lay into someone with like 20 [expletive]s and it will slide, usually. However, with a word censor, I have to censor myself and try to keep the cursing to a minimum, so I dunno

Yes. This forum is far more mature than others and I honestly don't see it being abused at all, maybe by some of the newer members but I doubt most of the veterans or mature members would even use it that much.
