Allen Iverson could be close to leaving Besiktas and returning to States. Former Sixers star has been criticized a lot since his arrival in Turkey for his bad performances.

The “Answer” reportedly expressed his disappointment regarding the chemistry between the club and the fans, as reported by Talkbasket.

Iverson should just retire and call it a career and stop embarrassing himself.

Nobody wants him cause of how he refused to come off the bench. Now no lottery team will want to take him, they want to let their young guys develop. And winning teams definitely dont want his locker room disturbance with playing time issues.

Disagree, doing it to himself would be like causing fights, trashing ownership, etc. The guy just wants to play basketball at a competitive level.

You can feel bad for him all you want but Iverson just refuses to age gracefully. If he wants to play competitive basketball he has to understand his roll on whatever team he is on. He job becomes developing young talent while teaching them how to become professional off the court and on the court. Iverson is not a good role model for that which is why he find himself in the situation that he is in.

No one is going to argue what he once was but what he is now is washed up and he has to accept that and become a mentor to young players. If he were to accept that role then he will be able to play about 15 to 20 minutes and enjoy the latter part of his career.

Not really surprised to hear this news. He never should have gone to Turkey in the first place, even though he did want to keep playing basketball. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an NBA team that will be interested in signing him down the stretch this season. He can still put up good numbers scoring wise, so I think at some point a team will have interest.
