Phightins Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 4, 2011 (edited) Because it forces people to A) know their stuff and B) keep up with it. It is possible to coast and still win in, say, an 8 or 10 team league with a full MLB player universe. With NL only, you essentially have half of the normal amount of players available, so you really need to look far down on depth charts to fill out your roster and constantly make moves, especially in a 12 team league. Now do you see why a 20 team AL only league probably won/t work, N/A? Also, there are 16 NL teams and 14 AL teams, so it will be even thinner for that.
