Phightins
Absolutely imperative that the Phillies win both game 1 and 2. I am thrilled that we only have to see Garcia once, but if the Cardinals steal a game early this could be bad. Anyway, to fill in the TBAs, Cole Hamels is pitching game 3. Game 4 will be Roy Oswalt vs. Jaime Garcia, and game 5 will be Roy Halladay vs (presumably) Kyle Lohse. But it would also be normal rest for Edwin Jackson, so they could go with either. Phightins
Ok, Tony LaRussa is up to his usual shit. Hope this means good things for the Phillies. Chris Carpenter will pitch in game 2 on short rest (he has never pitched on 3 days rest in his career). I don't get it. Why not use Garcia in game 2? Whatever. Garcia is now in game 3, btw. I guess Edwin Jackson will start game 4.
Phightins
Official roster hasn't been released yet, but word is that Kyle Kendrick is on it and David Herndon isn't. "WTF" worthy.

Cobb
Berkman HR! STL is probably going crazy now.
Phightins
Well, that was a sub-optimal start. Luckily Kyle Lohse sucks.

Phightins
No, he really isn't. But with that said, 7 shutout innings would not surprise me in the least.

Cobb
Lohse just imploded, and fast. 6-3 Phillies after a Raul Ibanez two-run HR.

Built Ford Tough
Cards really blew a fantastic chance in this game. It isn't often that you can score 3 runs on Halladay, let alone 3 in the 1st inning against him. I watched him for pretty much 10 years and I could probably count on one hand how many times he came out and gave up 3 runs in the 1st inning (not literally, but you get my point) and with him completely dominating since then, it is going to be very difficult to get another 4 on him. Phightins
Even though he gave up 3 runs, Doc really only made one bad pitch. And Lohse was tossing junk all game even before he finally got lit up. Would have been frustrating as hell if that Berkman HR wound up being the difference in a Cardinals W. Phightins
Maybe going with Carp on short rest and holding back Garcia wasn't so bright after all, eh Tony?
Phightins
Man, the Cardinals whine a lot. Like manager like team I guess.
