I watch so many movies it's ridiculous. Already this year I've probably watched about 30 movies, not in theaters but on my comp and some in theaters I go see a movie in the theaters ever 1-2 weeks, every time I see a movie I'll write a little review on it and recommend it or not. However with my maiden post I'll post every single movie I saw released in 2009 and give you my rating and a short review. If theres not a short review I'll post it later.

1 - Everything was terrible the acting the directing the dialog just abysmal

1.5 - There was glimmers of hope but in the end this movie just wasn't worth watching

2 - I guess some people can enjoy but really it wasn't that good, it was alright I suppose, I didn't like it

2.5 - Okay I almost enjoyed it but I was lost at some point an actor or director or certian part of the movie just ruined it

3 - Good movie not much more to say, could have been better but it sure as hell could have been a lot worse

3.5 - Great movie again could have been better but this is a film really worth checking out

4 - Awesome [expletive]ing movie and I mean you gotta see this movie it is a must see

4.5 - Deserving of emmy nominations incredible flick. Bravo Bravo.

5 - One of the best movies I've ever seen I'm in awe of it's excellence this is one of greatest films of all time

Notrious - The story of Biggie Smalls. I don't think the story did him justice at all, the movie definitely should have been better. At the same time it's a great movie and should be watched by anyone who doesn't know his story. 3.5

Paul Blart: Mall Cop - I know this had all the makings of a hilarious film. Kevin James riding a segway doing mall security. I had a gut feeling it wasn't going to live up. Had potential, didn't live up sad. - 2.5

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans - Uhm Kate Beckinsale in naked in this flick, yeah so I don't think you see anything but hey thats what Uncovered is for. Good prequel to the series really made the first movie seem cool. Even if you haven't seen the others ones go ahead and watch this good movie to check out. If you've seen the other movies go ahead and add .5 to my rating. - 3.5

Taken - Pretty cool flick, lots of action, people would enjoy this. At the same time I gotta deduct .5 because of all the bullets that miss, too unbelievable for me. Go ahead and add .5 if you dont mind see 5000 dudes miss 500000 shots. - 3.0

Race to Witch Mountin - The Rock is in it. Not a good enough reason to see it? Decent movie wasn't a huge fan but eh better than Mall Cop. - 3.0

I Love You, Man - SLAPEH DA BASSSS. Hilarious film. If you are a comedy love check it out. I walked into this movie expecting something okay walked out laughing my [expletive] off. - 4.0

12 Rounds - John Cena is in it. It was almost good until yeah I won't ruin it for you. Started out great, I wish I didn't see the end. - 1.5

Fast & Furious - Pretty much everything you'd expect for a F&F film nice cars HOT women and unbelievable driving. Good rating because they brought Vin Diesel back . Knock off .5 if you don't care that Vin Diesels back. - 3.5

Dragonball: Evolution - Had to see it. Sad because you'd probably enjoy the movie more if you didn't know the dragonball story. Started out like it might seem okay. 2 hot chicks fighting at the end saved this from going lower. Knock off anywhere from .5 to 1.5 if you don't care that the chicks are hot and you hate dragonball. - 1.5

Hannah Montana: The Movie - Okay I know I'm going to take a lot of heat for this but this movie was actually pretty good. From the songs the picked to just about everything. I mean given the fact it has that disney flair of sillyness for the children. Add .5 if you don't mind watching a few childish scenes. No, I do not like the show. - 3.5

Observe and Report - Again the mall security thing with a great comedian. This movie went from funny to suck to serious pretty fun to boring to [expletive]ing hilarious at the end. - 3.0

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Awesome movie. Probably the best X-men movie. Great action great comic book flair everything you'd expect from an X-men film. I was back in forth on this one theres so many positives and so many negatives. *Comic Book Movie of the Year* - 4.5

Next Day Air - MEH, I mean such a build up for nothing. If you see this movie at the end you will just say wow with a blank stare. Good thing it was kinda funny at parts. - 2.0

Up - I didn't enjoy this move as much as others. I honestly thought it was one of Pixar's worst films. That's not saying much considering their incredible success in the movies but still. - 3.5

The Hangover - No this movie was not over rated or over hyped at all. It was as hilarious as the previews suggested and I LOVED it. *Comedy of the year award* - 5.0

The Taking of Pelham 123 - Travolta and Washington. . Thank you for making this movie watchable. In all seriousness this movie could have been so much worse without both of them. They acted their asses of in this one. Mediocre movie with awesome acting. - 3.5

Year One - Jack Black, Michael Cera, and Olivia <3 (don't take this personal 13 I'll always love you ). HORRIBLE movie. It was funny at parts but overall just terrible. Terrible. I mean this movie is like catching a tiny work. Theres some reward theres some meat on the bone, but most of it is bone and it's a chore to watch. BTW Honestly, all the funny parts were in the previews. - 1.5

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - I know this movie took a lot of heat. I know a lot of ppl feel it killed the transformers genre. However I didn't. Despite everyone saying Fox is an absolute [expletive] uhm I'd still like to do crazy things to her. Unmentionable things. Bruno - Alright. This movie can go from a 0 - 5.0 depending on what your tolerance for crude humor and looking at the male anatomy. *Runner up for comedy of the year* - 4.5

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs - Nice little picture about a nerd who makes it. Has the added kid flair too. Funny though and Mr. T is in it. Good all around movie. - 4.0

Paranormal Activity - The ratings for this movie will vary from viewer to viewer. I mean a movie with 4 actors made with a small budget always will. I would personally give it a 2.0, others would give it a 5.0 it's all up to you and how you react to it. - 3.0

This movie as I said before was just amazing to me. I mean it really is a masterpiece. The only knock against it is that it can be construed as anti-war which is probably why it hasn't blown up, also why I don't think it won a globe, which is a crime. Gripping performances from McGuire and Portman and Gyllenhaal. McGuire makes this movie.

Tooth Fairy

This movie stars the Rock as a professional hockey player. He is a man past the prime of his career and now he plays in the developmental league where he plays a sideshow big hitting defensive man call 'tooth fairy'. Despite being a seemingly nice fellow he has a tendency of breaking down kids dreams. When his girls kid is going to bed he tells her there is no tooth fairy. When this happens he is sentenced to hard time as a tooth fairy. I found this movie funny yet more meant for kids. If you go in with an open mind and don't mind the expected goofiness you can really enjoy this one. Despite being predictable (i've seen so many movies there are hardly any that aren't) I enjoyed this movie. - 3.5

Ya I know im a nerd for the Transformers

 

I don't know what everyone saw in Up I mean it was pretty good but idk I guess I just saw Pixar and expected more.

 

As for Bruno probably the most I laughed during a movie aside from maybe Borat but I gotta consider the overall movie and Bruno's plot was irrelevant for 90% of the movie but it was so funny I'd still say its a 4.5 in my book.

Yeah blindside was awesome, I thought it was gonna be just OK but I was presently surprised. Loved at the end when they showed the pictures of the real family.

 

If you see one movie off that list make sure it's brothers, just an excellent film.

Saw this one on the list and had to check it out. Ben Affleck, Russell Crowe, and Rachel McAdams, is what drew me in. A lot of people don't like Ben Affleck for some reason but I do loved him in Jersey Girl and in Saving Private Ryan. This movie is about a journalist (Crowe) who uncovers a political scandal after taking on a story about a murder. His colleague (McAdams) is a young rookie journalist who takes on a story about a suicide. This movie was boring at times. Lot's of twists and turns and tough to predict. I like mystery's and this one satisfied me. Not the greatest movie but overall a good solid flick. - 3.5

ok i finished inglorious basterds, and it was pretty good. the beginning was very confusing and I had no idea what was going on, but it all got tied together. The cream scene and the italian scene were the best parts by far

Pandorum

Pandorum is a Sci-Fi - horror about a space ship sent to find a new earth. However things don't quite go as planned, hence the horror part. The movie is really slow to start. In the beginning your just thinking wow, when is this going to get interesting. Then all of a sudden [expletive] starts happening and when it hits the fan it's really hard to take in all at once. I found myself lost in the film at parts. Not because of the awesome visuals, they were mediocre at best but just because it was hard to follow for the most part. However, despite not being able to follow it fully I was still able to get through it feeling happy. I didn't like how the movie just rushed to end at the end, they were trying to get to one place the whole movie and then all of a sudden they are there by going down a hallway or something like that. It's also really hard to make me interested in a movie that has like 6 actors in the whole movie. Also didn't like the storyline of the main characters wife. I had a crappy audio version so that also may contribute to why I had a tough time following. Overall though I liked it, good ending, nice twist, solid flick. - 3.5

nice list, i agree with just about all of your high ranked ones, a few of the midrange ones are iffy but overall good scores. inglorious bastards was great as well as a few others you gave high scores. ill have to check out a couple of them like brothers and blindside though

Brothers is now out on DVD heres a couple links, the first is a flash version of the movie solid quality, the second is DivX up which is DVD quality, probably a DVDRip, enjoy
