O yeah!

This is my first year. Sorta pumped.

It will probably help me get into MLB a lot more than usual.

I'm in a 12 team league for $200 per team.

Any tips on drafting is greatly appreciated.

Fantasy baseball is the second best fantasy game IMO (after football of course).

My only tip is stay away from pitchers in the really early rounds. I guess it all depends on your settings though. Definitely stay away from relief pitchers until the end of the draft, you can always find some late round steals (for example, my closers last year were Jonathan Broxton and Heath Bell, and I got them pretty late). Going for big name closers early on is not the best idea. So just pay attention to the teams with closers jobs up in the air in spring training and see who they settle on.

It's a rotisserie league too.

I think I'd rather have head to head since I'm a noobie but I'm paired up with my best friend and he played these leagues b4.

10-team league drafted last night....

C: Geovany Soto

1B: Kendry Morales

2B: Robinson Cano

3B: Aramis Ramirez

SS: Troy Tulowitzki

OF: Ryan Braun

OF: Ichiro Suzuki

OF: Nick Markakis

Util: David Ortiz

Util: Hunter Pence

Util: Clint Barmes

BN: Adrian Beltre

SP: Javier Vazquez

SP: Josh Beckett

SP: Chad Billingsley

SP: Jered Weaver

SP: Matt Garza

SP: Randy Wolf

SP Johnny Cueto

RP: Jose Valverde

RP: Trevor Hoffman

I'm pretty satisfied with it. Some guy in the league took Lincecum, Halladay, and Sabathia with his top 3 picks. I, meanwhile, didn't draft a pitcher until round 8 and I think my staff isn't half bad.

I find that in Yahoo leagues, lots of good pitchers make it down to the later rounds since people rely only on the Yahoo rankings, which most of the time are terrible. So I think my strategy of avoiding pitchers until late paid off pretty well.

Mark Teahen, Chris Davis, Casey McGehee, Brandon Inge

That's about it for this league I'm in, currently using Chase Headley. It's a keeper league, so you're limited on what you can pickup. But I'm basically rollin' with the entire Phillies/Angels roster. Just don't have a good 3B.

Headley has been popping this year, I don't see a reason to replace him until he slows down. When he does, I like Teahen and McGehee the most out of that list. McGehee will provide the better power numbers, Teahen will likely be on base more often.
