This isn't the first time we've heard this, by the way. Terez Owens is just running with it. I believe the article came from ESPN or Woj (Yahoo). It makes a lot of sense. However...what if Dwight went to the Clippers? Him, Griffin, and Gordon would be nasty.

One could argue that McMillan isn't coaching a dysfunctional team, like Collins. The Sixers were terrible. It doesn't help McMillan's case that Aldridge is going nuts. The dude is putting up 30s and 40s now, which is something I could've never predicted. It's not that Nate started running the offense through him (the primary option was Roy), he just didn't have any other choice.

I'm assuming Bill Walton will be one of the coaches...right? I mean, there's no way he's playing.

Wow, way to read my post all the way through. :( And because of what happened, I'll advise him to never post here again. :o

How the hell do you win a game when your starting five does this? PG - Wall: 10-17 PF - Blatche: 6-17 SG - Martin: 2-13 SF - Howard: 1-10 C - McGee: 1-6

Popovich, Thibodeau, and McMillan. I would take Thibodeau over all three, though, because the Bulls are 2nd in the league, defensively, and that's basically without Noah for half of the season so far. They are also the third best team in the East, despite missing Boozer for 18 of the 53 games (without Noah for 29 games). Tom is a defensive-minded coach, and we saw what he did with Boston for the last three years...it's obvious he's nothing less than a plus sign in Chicago. If the Sixers are .500 or above by the end of the season, I would PROBABLY move Collins into my top three, replacing McMillan. Coin toss...depends on how many games over the Sixers are.

ABOUT TIME YOU POSTED THIS, WOW... Sorry about that.

At least half of the fanbase thinks regular season games are meaningless, even though we have lost vs. the Suns (2x) and the Celtics the last three times we haven't had home court advantage in the playoffs. Seems like Kobe and Phil are the only two that seem to get pissed over losses in November/December, and throughout the rest of the season. We were just 1-2 games from losing HCA in the West last season, and lucky enough that Boston didn't win 60 in the regular season.

I'd probably make him a moderator if he wanted to join. Neither of us can do anything without our teammates.

We lost the game because we played through the post way too much, and gave ANDREW [expletive]ING BYNUM all of the shots he wanted, and he was complete trash. Shot 2-12 from the floor, if I recall correctly. This team is nothing if we aren't playing through Bryant. He sets the tone. If we turn Kobe into some spot-up shooter, we lose. He can't play that way. Pulling the ball out of his hands, trying to force him to be the player he isn't...it's why he sucked tonight, no credit to Cleveland's defenders because Bryant was out of rhythm from the start. That's what we do when Kobe is 36 and on his way out, not when he's still putting up 25/5/5 and still a superstar in the league. People are going to look at Gasol's 30/20 game and think he did wonderful out there, but he had a four-point 4th quarter and scored 20 of his 30 in the first half. His defense was also pathetic. Teams are going to figure it out...most already have. Do everything to stop Kobe, and play the Lakers like it's 2006 all over again. Play them like they are starting a lineup of Kobe, Odom, Smush, Kwame and Mihm. Unacceptable.

Synergy's top 5 worst defenders in the NBA
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
Move Batum off the list, and stick in Steve Nash. In any "bad defense" category, you have to have Steve...unless they are just omitting him because he's a perennial candidate. -

Should LeBron have signed with the Clippers instead of the Heat?
Real Deal replied to a topic in General NBA Discussion
Sure, but the Clippers have beaten some of the best teams in the NBA as well (Lakers, Spurs, Heat, Thunder, Bulls)...doesn't really matter. If LeBron could take the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals with "crap" for teammates (as you put it), what makes you think he wouldn't go to the Finals and win a ring THIS SEASON with Griffin and Gordon? That trio alone could be amazing. Today, a trio of Bron, Griffin and Gordon wouldn't be better than the Heat trio in terms of overall talent, but they would probably compliment each other better from the start, AND it's a fact that they would last longer, pending one of them leaving or being traded, because it's a younger core. Plus, LeBron gets to be "the man" in Los Angeles, right after Kobe exits his prime. -

I changed it while you were posting, haha, no joke. I wasn't specific enough...all my fault. However... http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr160/fishbulb-suplex/Wrestlers/Jeff%20Jarrett/jarrett004.jpg Still a champ, at one point. WCW, nonetheless, but it's Vince's belt, now. -
Gasol, Mayo and a filler for Drew? Hell yeah. Funny how the main picture they show, on an article relating to all 30 teams trading players, is one of Melo and Drew.

He could be the best in the business right now...doesn't mean much. Jarrett held the WWF Intercontinental championship. He had some value to him. He's either on Jarrett's level, or on Triple H's level. He's closer to Jarrett than Trips. If I didn't know a single thing about CM Punk...never saw him on the mic, never seen him wrestle, never heard of him...and you showed me a few of his matches in the WWE, and a couple of instances with him on the mic, I'd assume he was in the Intercontinental division, fighting his way up the ladder. Just like Jarrett should've done his entire career. And...I just read that CM Punk held the World championship three times, beating Jeff Hardy (2x) and Edge. LOL, seriously? Back when wrestling was exciting, Jeff Hardy was a tag champ, and so was Edge, and neither were good enough to contend for anything above the Intercontinental championship. Running down the list for both titles, it gets more embarrassing as you scroll. The Miz, from MTV? JBL? Hardy? Mysterio? Come on, dude. The Rock's return proved just how bad it was. A Stone Cold return would've done the same thing. Same with Sting, despite him being out of his prime. Nexus? They are a worthless stable...probably good enough for an old Survivor Series match (and not even in the main event, if we're talking the 90s), but nothing lasting over one PPV night. I guess I'm spoiled. CM Punk is the best in the business right now? That just means the WWE is on life support when compared to the 90s and 2000s. -

While the WWE has what I would consider an interesting amount of talent, it's more on the level of a prime Jeff Jarrett, who could piss the crowd off in a matter of seconds on the mic, and wrestle, but he wasn't that superstar that could carry the company. CM Punk is just that. So is The Miz. For decades, the WWF and WCW didn't go through a period of time where they didn't have The Rock, Hogan, Flair, Taker, Sting, SCSA, Goldberg and Lesnar, the NWO, D-X, HHH, HBK, Savage, Steamboat, Rude, Warrior...we'd have to dip far into history, even BEFORE the WWF was living off of Andre The Giant, Hogan, the Von Erich brothers, Tony Atlas, Iron Sheik, JYD, and Roddy Piper. Right now, the meal ticket is John Cena, who is overrated on the mic and has little wrestling skills. CM Punk could go back to his roots, given the freedom to say and do what he wants, but he's not a true superstar. Maybe in ECW or TNA, but no successful company can be built (or maintained) with him riding shotgun alongside someone like Vince. -
Nah, she was a Sonics fan. Welcome to the best.

Real Deal replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in MMA, Wrestling and Boxing Forum
He's right, though. It wouldn't change too much just by sticking Cena and Orton on the list. He listed a guy that still belongs on reality TV, yet holds a title (and not just some title, but the WWE Championship, at that). Aside from last night's show (meaning, the other two Raw shows I've watched in the last month, and those I've tuned into once every 3 months or so), wrestling has been terrible. About 10% of the roster can actually wrestle and sell moves well, and guys like Morrison, even though they can be exciting, are nowhere near the place HBK was. -
Kobe only wears it because I do. I had one before he even knew about them. He only wishes he was me.
