McFadden was awesome. Not the greatest back, but he's nice to have for an offense that really struggles most of the time they are on the field.

Four carries for Jacobs.

Prime Kobe and KG vs T mac and Duncan
Real Deal replied to Hawks Fly High's topic in Player Comparisons
Kobe and Garnett, but it's because Bryant has won a ring with a legit big man (and I'm not talking about Shaq) while McGrady didn't get out of the second with Yao. I would say that it's because Bryant (in his prime) is better than McGrady (in his), but Duncan is better than Garnett, today and any season in the past. -
The season is almost here, and I just feel like I need to leave feedback and suggest a few things before the preseason games start. After the Finals, our activity actually increased. We all know why. The free agency "season" was a big hit for us. However, we hit that nasty offseason wall we've been crashing into every year we've been up (five offseasons, by the way). Baseball talk was okay, but the football talk has really helped us out lately. I was upset a few times because of the way we treated new members, and I wasn't too impressed with all of the personal attacks. We've cleaned that up a bit, maybe due to a couple of members being banned. Well, we have to sustain it. Activity is always important, of course, but I would rather have 100 active intelligent and respectful posters over 200+ that are active and immature. Would it be nice to have activity similar to RealGM? Probably, but not at the expense of forum chaos, and eventual downfall. So, with that said, thanks for hanging in there for the couple of months we're forced to go through without basketball to talk about. I appreciate all of the hard work you guys put into the forums...even you Heat and Celtics fans.

Chill out with the baiting and personal attacks, people. You can bait here and there, a little of that is healthy for sports discussion...but don't make it a habit. Cutler is proving me wrong so far.
-
Nobody should say they would rather be completely blind. I'm telling all of you right now, you would rather be deaf.

Game over.
-
Okay, Sanchez isn't playing around.
-
Brady has to trust that Moss snags that ball over his man. He's too tall and athletic not to.
-
Picked him off.
-
He stumbled right when the ball was snapped. He didn't stand a chance after that. And I've lost all respect for him anyway. The dude was standing tall all game long, not grabbing his hammy, playing really well against Moss...and then, he gives up the touchdown and grabs his hammy right AFTER the touchdown. If Moss didn't catch that ball, I'm 110% sure Revis would've been fine.
-
I don't think he misses the game. He would be called a coward, and I think his ego is far too big to risk that. He would rather score 60 points and lose.
-
I can't believe the Chefs are 2-0.
-
And NOW Revis grabs his hammy? Please.

I'll consider if you put up a VC hate sig of my choice for two months.

AboveLegit is joining our moderator staff as we gear up for the upcoming season. Smitty, Force, bigdog and AboveLegit will be the global moderators. I may add one more, but the staff will hold a meeting sometime this week to discuss our plans first. I was expecting to cut a moderator (meaning I'll definitely need two, maybe three), but our three are still active, so things are going good. Welcome AL to the staff. He'll be here for a long time.

I have an uncle that has been in and out of jail numerous times, and I also know of a high school classmate that is currently in prison. My uncle talks about how he would rather live in jail right now, how you get to work and make money, get an education, and basically live for free. The guy that I went to school with, he's in prison for murdering a girl, and apparently, he has been telling his friends you can do more with your life in prison than you can living on your own outside of it. So I recommend doing something else. Death penalty? I really don't care. Do something, though...just don't let them enjoy the rest of their lives in prison.

Prime: Shaq and Kobe VS The Miami 3
Real Deal replied to Hawks Fly High's topic in Player Comparisons
I was actually reluctant answering this because James, Wade and Bosh are all in their primes. Problem is, I don't think that trio is anything like Kobe and Shaq in their primes. I can't see Bosh dominating in the post like Shaq, can't see James or Wade pulling off a career like Bryant's (sustaining the numbers, playing through injuries, having that skill set). -
They should also be appearing in the footers. I have options for headers, in posts, footers and sidebar. Putting them in posts and in headers is not an option, at least not for me. I would hate that.

Prime: Shaq and Kobe VS The Miami 3

You take the proven dynasty. -
Probably not, haha...just going to mess around and see what comes out of them. And by the way, guys, the site will stay up no matter what. The ads will just help with hosting and the updates. I don't have any plans on selling the site, merging with anyone else, or shutting it down...never. I'd just rather do this, than accept donations. Just not my thing...and to be honest, I would actually take these sidebar ads down if most of you thought they were too much of a distraction.
-
You'll see ads in the sidebar pretty soon. No pop-ups, ever (those were the ads I absolutely hate and will never put up), and no highlighted/underlined ad links in the post (can't stand that, either). I know you guys were asking about donations, but I can't take money from you. I won't accept it. You shouldn't have to pay to talk basketball, so you won't. If the ads do help pay for the hosting and software updates, and there's money left over, it will go to prizes for games we have in the future. Could help draw interest when we do hold contests and such.

Bigs actually shoot poorly, for the most part, because they have insanely large hands. As most of us have found out, either by shooting "paper basketballs" or anything similar to those in size, it's much harder to make a basket with something smaller. Bigger hands don't exactly mean the basketball is smaller, but it gives that player the feeling they are shooting a softball, instead of a basketball. Hard to explain, really...but to the point: Rondo's hands are large. They don't even match his body, really. He's a weird guy.

Heat undecided on starting point guard
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
The best thing is to just bring Arroyo off the bench. He'd be more effective in a bench role, handling the ball more and attacking the basket. -
Rondo isn't that much of a reach, but I wouldn't consider him in the same breath as other points, like Kidd and Nash. His IQ is up there, though.
