Bogut, and I don't see how anyone else comes close at this point. Salmons was the missing ingredient, but he's no franchise player. I really can't say much about Jennings right now because he hit the rookie wall midway through the year, fatigued quite a bit and started chucking and missing shots. Andrew Bogut has shown he's a force on both sides of the ball, surprisingly improving his defense last season. He's also their only legit threat down low, and losing him changes the entire course of the Bucks' season over 82 games.

It will more than likely be Bargnani, but if you're going to add Weems into the discussion, you can't leave out Jack or DeRozan. But Andrea should be getting the most touches. I don't remember exactly what he put up last year (around 15-20 PPG), but I do know he wasn't shooting poorly from the floor, and he was also hitting a decent percentage from downtown as well.

The idea is that Boozer would play the five, Gibson starting at the four. C - Boozer | Thomas | Asik PF - Gibson | Johnson SF - Anthony | Korver SG - Brewer | Bogans PG - Rose | Watson Of course, they will sign other players before diving into the season, may even pick up one or two along with Melo in the trade, if it goes down.
-
I expected Lithuania to win, but not by 19 points.
-
I don't understand why people use individual player comparisons to determine what team is better. Melo, Rose and Boozer are a tough trio. There's really no conflict there, not having to ask one of them to adjust their game to accommodate the others. However, losing Noah hurts. If the Bulls somehow keep Joakim (which is a longshot if they are going to get Melo), I would slip them into the pool of legitimate championship contenders.

Scola isn't doing much out there, playing bad help defense and he's missing easy buckets. Lithuania up seven early.

Argentina and Lithuania play in a few minutes, guys. It's probably going to be a damn good game. ESPN3.com

Quarterfinals: USA vs. Russia
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in 2010 FIBA World Championships
I'm still trying to figure out how that shooter got away with an OBVIOUS travel, lifting up for the shot and dropping the ball to the floor, then grabbing it back and passing it out. What the hell. -
Quarterfinals: USA vs. Russia

A lot of bogus calls (and no-calls) down the stretch. What was up with the referee blowing the whistle on our fast break? Then he looks over at Coach K and acknowledges that he screwed up. That's two points. I've seen three major flops leading to fouls already just in the second quarter. Major as in...not even close to a foul. The "hip-check" that Billups supposedly gave, the "push" they called Gordon for, the tie-up with Odom where the Russian just fell in the paint...it's ridiculous. -

Stop gambling and play some defense, damn. Too many easy buckets for Russia. -

He has a point, though. Russia is really our biggest rival in international play. http://www.usabasketball.com/mens/national/usarussia_another_classic_on_2010_09_08.html

Just need to clarify something quickly... So Jordan was out of his prime when he won his last three championships? Out of his prime in his 10th season? I have a feeling this will be useful later.

LMAO. Post of the year.

Haha, why does everyone say this? Can't wait, man. Let me know if you need help with it.

Caracter's Deal With Lakers Tied To Weight
Real Deal replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
He won't be playing like Glen Davis. He's got a post game and good footwork (good for a rook). Davis is a chubby small forward that attacks the rim recklessly or takes mid-range jumpers.
