Take the battery out of the laptop, connect the laptop to the outlet and see how that goes. If it still doesn't run, go buy a cheap power cord (you can probably get one online, a generic brand, or somewhere else in your city). It's odd that the adapter is making noise, though. I've never heard of that before. Are you 100% sure it's coming from the cord?

Morey: Yao Won't Opt Out of Contract
Real Deal replied to NJNJ's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Great news for Houston. Yao sells, and he's also the best center in the league when he's fully healthy. -
Forgot Iverson was back in the East. Iverson, Carter...those two will get in due to fan support. Wade will start. The ballot asks for two guards, and you'll have yourself a third and fourth. That fourth will be: Ray Allen Joe Johnson Brandon Jennings Gilbert Arenas Rajon Rondo Mo Williams Andre Iguodala Then there are two extra all-stars voted in by the coaches, and that could be where Rondo gets in...but I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches choose Joe Johnson and Ray Allen for that, assuming they don't make it in the voting. Lots and lots of hype for Jennings, though. On RealGM, there are a ton of fans who think he may get in...and I wouldn't be surprised if voters try to slide him into that fourth slot, especially if the Bucks end up keeping that winning record with Michael Redd not contributing much.

Arenas and Harris? Neither of those guys have a shot over Rondo. They are the supposed leaders of bad teams. If Kevin Durant and Al Jefferson couldn't get in last season, those two have no chance at it. And Mo Williams isn't near the overall player Rondo is. I hope the fans don't make a mistake by voting him in. I can't stand Rondo or the Celtics, but I have to call it like it is. He's a very good candidate for the ASG. Dwyane Wade (certainly going to get it) Ray Allen Vince Carter (more than likely, because of the fans) Joe Johnson Brandon Jennings (wouldn't be surprised, but Milwaukee needs to maintain their spot in the playoffs) Those guys are more likely to get in before Rondo, though. Rondo doesn't score enough, and he's the fourth best player on the Celtics.

West teams can't match up with Lakers
Real Deal replied to kingfish's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
It has a lot to do with Gasol being out, though...just thought about it for a minute and figured it out. Kobe was in the post quite a bit, dipped into the paint and scored quite a bit. He'll eventually drop out of that top five by the end of the year, with Bynum and Gasol filling the post positions. -
West teams can't match up with Lakers
Real Deal replied to kingfish's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I read somewhere that the Lakers' Bryant, Bynum and Gasol are three of the top five players in the NBA in points in the paint. What the hell...? -
West teams can't match up with Lakers

Not worried about the Nuggets. We didn't have our full roster when we played them. You stick Bynum and Gasol both out on the court, and we pick them apart in a seven-game series once again, probably another 4-2 victory, or better. If Manu isn't healthy, the Spurs aren't a problem, either. Otherwise, they would be on top of my list of West teams that could potentially cause us some trouble. -
I just haven't addressed that yet.

Iverson belongs in Philly. It's great seeing him out there dishing out of doubles. This is who they need...and now they need to toss Eddie Jordan.

Man, no stream, and I'm blacked out on NBATV, can't get it on League Pass. WOW.
-
You can post stream links in topics, just can't create new topics just for the links.

It was the skin editing, I forgot to recache the skins. My apologies...should be fine now.

Haha, thanks Dee. I'm gonna take a small break...blood pressure has been a bit high all day, stupid meds don't work or something...but I'll continue these ASAP.

Garnett Tries To Mess With Someone His Own Size
Real Deal replied to Doc's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
That's probably why Nazr got up after the elbow and approached him, actually. I'm surprised Joakim Noah or someone else from Chicago didn't do this in the first round of the playoffs last year. -
Allen Iverson and Thaddeus Young added to Philly's banner (with Andre Iguodala).
-
Game will be on NBATV, for anyone interested in watching it (should be all of you).
-
Jason Thompson and Kevin Martin added to the Kings forum (with Tyreke Evans). Aaron Brooks and Luis Scola added to Houston's forum (with Trevor Ariza). I'm still keeping Yao off the banner, as he won't be playing the entire season...and if Tracy McGrady comes in and contributes more than any of those three above, I'll more than likely replace one with him.
-
Hit refresh in those forums. You shouldn't see any old banners at this point.
-
So it's... C - Dalembert PF - Brand SF - Young SG - Iguodala PG - Iverson Right?
-
Team banners are up...but just 30 of them (one player per). I'll add the rest of the players soon.

If he was a competitor, he would sign with a team he can play on, and actually earn his ring, not Darko his way to a championship like a [expletive]. Or go back home and help the Sixers make the playoffs, raise their attendance and give the fans hope. If you're still capable of putting up 20+ a game, you don't coattail a contender, you make it your own to become a vital piece in one. When Iverson gets 38 years old and still doesn't have a ring...maybe he can sign with a contender and come off the bench, letting guys like LeBron and Wade do everything. It's too bad he's not that old yet, so being a leech is not an option, or else Michael Jordan wasn't a real competitor when he signed with Washington for two years.

Wow Sean, thanks for the summary. That was perfect. Going to watch the video anyways...but that helps tremendously with the discussion. I find this funny... Now, from discussing this with other members here a while back, they believed that Donaghy altered those games he bet on and was a referee in. Guess that's not the case anymore, and I'll go ahead and use a quote many others were posting: "Why would he lie?" Now, here's an inconsistency... But he says this... Doesn't exactly make sense. What's the difference between those two situations?

Because I like posting in topics that aren't getting much activity while I'm checking on new posts.

One announcer did, the other didn't. The argument about losing possession before or after his forearm touched is based heavily on what knocked the ball out, if logic reasoning is used. He didn't just let the ball go, did he? The hit caused it to fumble, and the ball was out of his hand and below his other forearm right before his wrist touched, as seen in the still pictures I provided. Otherwise, gravity caused the ball to fumble from his tuck, and based on the still pictures, the ball was stuck on his jersey using some sort of glue or powerful static, which probably means he still had possession. The first explanation makes sense. The second doesn't. The booth and refs saw what I did, and that's why they reversed it. I'll believe those guys before I take into account anything an announcer says, especially when it was clear as day for me when viewing the stills. Not going to change your mind anyways, but that doesn't really matter...it was called the right way.

Kobe with 26 points, nine boards...leader for the game in both categories, both teams considered. Love the work he's doing on the glass lately.
