  1. Steph Curry should get it. Golden State could reach the Finals this year, but only on his shoulders.
  2. I read on Twitter that the players were running up the field, after the Kearse catch, yelling for Beast Mode...knowing he was going to have 2-3 chances to pound the ball in from the one. About 99.9% of the time, you can make sense of a bad play call, twisting scenarios and finding a reason to go that route. Last night? There was absolutely nothing that justified throwing that ball.
  3. That's the truth. Rick had me believing I would need to do the same someday, lol. A lot of emotion there.
  4. Here's the Season 5 topic for TWD. I'll catch up soon.
  5. I know we're already in Season 5, but I just started watching this series last week AND finally hit the Season 4 Finale. Great show. I'm assuming the Terminus is full of cannibals, but I'm not sure yet. They hinted it during the finale, as the crew ran from the snipers. Please don't spoil anything for me! I'll be watching Season 5, and catching up to everyone else, sometime in the next week...but I'll go ahead and create a topic for it.
  6. Gotta find some time to edit the main banner this weekend, and I need to add the new name and logo for the Pelicans!
  7. Worst defensive team in the league, ranked 30th...paired with being the 14th-best offensive team. Can't win if you don't stop the other team, though. Cleveland was running on that 4-game win streak, but Denver came out of nowhere. Bron, Love and Kyrie all dropped 20 or so, with Waiters, but it didn't matter...probably too much balance.
  8. I couldn't wait for my Twitter to blow up after he missed that shot. Kobe: 13,421 misses / 1,252 games = 10.72 misses/game Jordan: 12,345 misses / 1,072 games = 11.52 misses/game MJ is my guy, and I always hate putting him in a negative light...but nobody gives a damn about his stats unless it's to praise him. Kobe has played more games...19th NBA season. People use that excuse when saying he'll pass Jordan on the scoring list, so why do people ignore it when he passes him on the missed shots list?
  9. Yes. I'll eventually do an update, but even with the board version now, I can install something soon.
  10. Well, August 2013 was a huge month for me. I bought a house...three bedroom, two bath, den, two-car garage, deck, privacy fence. Altogether, I outbid three others and got the house for $52,000. Also, a few weeks later, I landed a job at a maintenance supply company. My brother was working there, and they were having trouble with some guy out of North Dakota. He was updating their website, and when he put up new pictures of floor scrubbers that we sell, he left a TON of white background on the images (cut them out using Paint, lmao)...and it looked awful. My brother suggested that I come in and do it all right, and three days later, they asked me to keep coming in. That next week, they gave me the "keys" to the server, told me I was full time, and gave me lead marketing. Within the next six months, I was also doing their billing, started purchasing products for them, scheduling gym floor work, and much more. Today, I'm actually shouldering a lot of responsibilities the owners had over the years, which is a great thing because they are in their mid-50's. We sell maintenance supplies, as I said, but we also service and sell machines, sand and refinish gym floors, lay carpet, clean concrete, sell epoxy floors and bathroom stalls, etc. As it stands, we're a $7.5 million a year company with a lot of room to grow. http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-1.jpg http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-3.jpg http://4statemaintenance.com/images/floors/accc-small-12.jpg This summer, we refinished (101) and sanded (8) a grand total of 109 gym floors...from elementary schools to colleges, and it led to a $900,000 month in August. Busy, busy.
  11. Our community may just be the oldest in basketball message board history.
  12. I'm going to look at the mass email option either late tonight, or by this weekend. That is big for us.
  13. Bosh has to have a big game for the Heat. They have a chance to prove that they are a force out East (which isn't too hard to see, given that there are few teams that have an impact out there), and this can be his statement game as a teammate AND as an individual.
  14. A lot of times, on max deals, you're having to gamble to see if it pays off to begin with...so this was a good move. I can't say he's worth that money yet, but he could be. He's still improving as we speak.
  15. I think I just need to run through the member list and pull them out, ban them, and mass email the rest. Getting this place active will be a LONG process, but it can be done. The fact that I'm extremely limited on time doesn't help, at all.
  16. Well damn, might as well send it to the rest of the roster, in that case.
  17. I can, but we have some members who probably should't get those notifications, so I'm struggling with that decision.
  18. Kobe is looking good...not 2006 or 2008, but definitely all-star level. I love it. Now, we need to get everyone else on board.
  19. https://twitter.com/MikeAScotto/status/528145766397644800 Crazy to think that the Thunder may have to go without Durant AND Westbrook until sometime in December. That will be tough to overcome.
  20. Did anyone see my boy PERRY JONES against the Clippers? Russell Westbrook went down with a fractured hand/wrist after nine minutes, and P-Jones scored 32 and pulled down 7 boards, had 11 free throw attempts. They lost to the Clips by 3, but didn't have Durant, Westbrook, Jackson or Lamb in the lineup. I've been waiting for him to break out, and this is his big chance. Yeah, he's fun to watch. He's got a quick first step...glad to see that a lot of his skills transferred over to the pros.
  21. You know...I'd actually root for the Cavaliers, and even LeBron, if they had kept Wiggins. Good to hate Cleveland again, lol.
  22. I hate the fact that Joel Embiid fell to injury. I was anticipating him and Noel in the frontcourt together this season.
  23. I've been extremely busy, but I really just wanted to open the place back up and let you guys in to talk basketball, sports in general...whatever you'd like. It sucks not being able to communicate like we used to. I can't run this place the way I did years back, but I trust that we can make use of it. Funny enough, I've been paying the hosting bill every single month since I closed the board down, and I'm not quite sure why. I just let it charge my card, no plans on putting it back up until a few weeks ago. I'll make some changes here and there, update the board sometime, but let's see if we can hunt down and bring back the originals first. We'll be FAR less active than we ever wanted to be, but no matter what, we're still kicking.
