  1. Wow GB fans booing Favre out the stadium. Total lack of class right there. Favre still has that "It" factor that Tavaris Jackson lacks, which is what keeps the Vikings in games. His gunslinger mentality hurts him mightily though, especially as he has gotten older. 2010: 7 TD, 10 INT.

  4. Can't wait to see the post game press conference. Glad to see my boy Jason Campbell do work. A healthy McFadden and Bush just too much for the Broncos. Their defense is beyond pathetic.
  5. Ron Artest also said Roy was the best player he's ever went up against. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk6NM8HRyks#ws You can tell Kobe actively looks for weaknesses in the guy he's guarding. Nobody gives Rondo as much room to shoot as Kobe does. With Durant, he probably finds that you need to be physical with him. With Roy.. he doesn't know what he should do and maybe that's why he finds him the toughest to guard.
  6. Probably the second most frustrating game this season to watch behind the week 3 disaster in St. Louis. Let me start off by talking about the offense. We don't run the ball as much as we should, and we hardly ever establish it early in the game. The first play in the game was a play action, and while it was a successful one, I don't agree with the call. The D hardly ever bites on these constant PA fakes, which leaves McNabb susceptible. And speaking of Mcnabb, he hasn't looked good at all lately. There's just no identity. 34 pass plays and 28 run plays, and that's including us running the clock out with Torain. Until late in the game, we had a 2:1 pass to run ratio. Problem is, the team isn't good with the pass. They need to take the pressure off McNabb by running the ball, using screens, and draw plays. I love what DeAngelo did today, he plays phenomenal. He really answered back after getting torched the past few weeks. Great to see. Hopefully he inspires our whole secondary. And oh yeah, Orakpo is a flat out beast. Same goes to Landry. Orakpo has 7 sacks on the season, Landry is leading the league in tackles. Love the production those two are giving to our defense. I just hope we can stay the course and beat a pretty good Detroit team next week and go in to the bye where everyone can heal up a bit. I think McNabb really needs the time to heal and maybe Portis will be back for Philly.
  7. Good close game, now onto the World Series. Going to be a great match up.
  8. Looks like Cooley and Haynesworth will play, great news for the Skins. We gotta exploit that weak O-line. Gotta get Orakpo going early, blitz a lot, and give our Dline some confidence. Only then will Cutler throw interceptions. I see our defense coming up big tomorrow. As for the offense, we just need to get the passing game going. Get Fred Davis more involved, he's more than capable of catching the ball, and is often a liability when he's not involved in the passing game. He's not a good blocker. The Bears have the #1 best run defense in the NFC, third in the league overall, so I don't see Torain having the type of game he had last week against the Colts. They don't give up a ton of points, so this should be a fairly close game. Interesting fact, McNabb is 4-1 at Soldier Field, so I gotta believe the game plan is to pass more.
  9. I think this trade was made to free up space in Portland's rotation. Bayless logged minutes in at the SG spot, and after signing Matthews and seeing a discontent Fernandez, they made a change.
  10. Exactly what the doctor ordered. Milwaukee was terrible last year at getting to the line, and now added a guy like Corey to fill that void. Loved this pick up from the start.
  11. Did anyone else see Craig Sager getting sprayed in the Texas locker room? Jet and Charles will be all over him when the NBA season starts.
  12. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-heat/sfl-miami-heat-jerry-stackhouse-s102210,0,6143259.story Luckily for them, they managed to sign Eddie House over the summer as well, so they at least have one guy capable of hitting threes on a consistent basis. If they cannot get Stackhouse, is there anyone else the Heat should be interested in?

  14. Redskins are just beating teams up. Add Clark to the list of players they have injured. Michael Vick Lesean McCoy Half the Green Bay roster Dallas Clark Greg Olsen better be ready this weekend.
  15. This sucks, I really wanted to win a championship this year. But really, I thought he did have a decent shot at making the roster. But he is extremely slow, it's like watching someone in slow motion, and with Flip's idea of us being a running team, I knew this had a good chance of happening.
  16. I would have to give Phil Jackson the nod as he won it with two teams that were slightly different. Chicago won it without a low post offensive threat. The LA teams that won it were stacked like the Boston teams. Jackson is a master motivator and his players buy into him constantly challenging them. When Jackson walked away from the Lakers, he had lost the ear of Kobe. When Kobe and the Lakers spiraled without him, they openly welcomed him back. Love him or hate him, Red was an absolutely great GM first, with coaching being secondary on his resume. He could have easily stayed on longer as a head coach to win more titles, but decided to step down as the coach. As a GM, he made brilliant moves in drafting Larry Bird and fleecing Golden State that netted Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale. He was also very progressive in breaking the color barrier for head coaches when he promoted Bill Russell to player / coach. If Len Bias and Reggie Lewis had lived to have long productive careers, Red's legacy would have run through the 90's.
  17. Ray Allen For some strange reason people still think Ray hasn't had great playoff runs in his career...Then what exactly was the 2001 Eastern Finals? Did Allen not average 27 a game and shoot 55% on threes, including THIS game in a do-or-die Game 6? Did he not set an NBA Finals Record for threes made in a series in 2008? Did he not put LA away with a barrage of 2nd-half threes (7 total, including 4 in the span of 7 possessions) in Game 6? Or how about 2009 in Round 1 against Chicago? Did he not hit a game-winning 3 in Game 2, a game-tying 3 in Game 4 to send it to overtime, or a game-tying 3 in Game 6 to send it to triple overtime (a game he scored 51 points in, by the by)? And I also hate the fact that Millers' career gets so glorified because of his series against the Knicks. It was great, they had a 30 for 30 on ESPN dedicated to it, but that seems to be the reason why people pick him over Ray. Allen was/is the better player, Miller's career just sticks out more because of his battles with the Knicks. Let's not forget, for all the great playoff performances he has had, Reggie went 2-10 in the fourth quarter of Game 7 against the Knicks in 94 and scored 12 points game 7 against Orlando in 95 or when he went 3-18 in game 6 against the Knicks in 99. Yet people never seem to acknowledge it. Ray Allen has come up clutch in multiple situations both in the regular season and playoffs. He has the sweetest stroke in the history of this league, is going to catch Reggie in all time threes made, and is already the more efficient shooter out of the two.
  18. Yeah I don't think anyone can bring up a better rivalry than Magic-Bird.
  19. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5706315 I've just gained so much respect for Mark Schlereth.
  20. Agreed, I think having an offensive force like Tampa in our division might actually help us stay focused and maintain some sort of defensive flow. I know that's saying a lot about an opponent, but whatever -_-
  21. stop posting my threads on rsz

  22. They are undefeated in the preseason (7-0) and had some nice wins. Against the Lakers on Sunday, Gordon Hayward dropped 26 and looked great out there. Deron Williams is also playing well... Will the Jazz be under the radar this season like they always are? I hardly ever see people talk about them, but it's basically a given that they will make the playoffs, as long as Sloan is the coach.
  23. I love what we did this offseason. I believe in Ted Leonsis completely, and I like his method of building through the draft and obtaining nice, young pieces moving forward. Obviously luck played a factor in our success this offseason, but other than that, I think the front office did a good job managing Gilbert and the rest of the team. He does a great job connecting with the fans, he's familiar with DC and its' fans, and knows how hungry we our to win. He knew our weaknesses when he bought the team from the Pollins, and has done a good job thus far in correcting them. We had to get bigger, so we spend 3 out of our 4 draft picks on big men. He knew we were a poor defensive team, so the front office brought in Kirk Hinrich. I'd give the front office an A after seeing this team during training camp and the preseason. I think we had one of the best offseasons in the league.
