  1. 49ers onto their first win of the season.
  2. Thank God at least one NFC East team lost today. Now gotta pray the Skins win. Dallas falls to 1-4, gotta love it. :glasses:
  3. 4 minutes to go, Romo with the ball down by 3. Will he choke?
  4. Not sure I agree with that. Hilton Armstrong isn't anything special, JeVale McGee is still extremely raw, Seraphin is a project, Hamady probably won't even be playing with us this year, and Booker is more of a SF/PF. Dray is the only lock for us in the starting line up. If Yi continues to impress the coaching staff, he could very well get 20-25 minutes. I've also heard that Flip is experimenting with a big line up of Arenas (or Wall)-Kirk-Dray-Yi-McGee. I think because of his versatility, it will allow him to get more than enough minutes to prove himself to the league.
  5. [expletive], tied up now. Let's go Vikings.
  6. lol nice hopefully u stay active here

  7. We all know about the flaws in Yi's game, he's soft, cannot play with other bigs in the paint, and is an average at best rebounder. But as I have been watching the preseason games, Flip has been showing a ton of confidence in him, giving him a lot of playing time, and it has been paying off. He's been playing well so far, his shot has looked good, and he's improving his rebounding. If JeVale doesn't perform well this year (and that is likely...I still don't have much faith in him right now), Yi could end up being named our starter. Last season in New Jersey he averaged 12PPG and 7RPG, which isn't terrible in 31MPG. I could see him averaging more than that in Washington with our three guard rotation (Wall, Arenas, Hinrich) setting him up off of pick n rolls. Is Yi poised to have a break out year in 2010-2011?
  8. Haynesworth inactive, now this..... [expletive].... Dallas might win today, Giants and Eagles have already won today, this could be a terrible week for us. -_- EDIT: Dallas lost, Thank God.
  9. Do you like the rule? I kinda agree with the overall idea of it, but is it really needed? During the Philly-ATL game, Desean Jackson caught the ball, turned around, and got leveled by Dunta Robinson. Desean had full possession of the ball, Robinson made a play on him, and was a shoulder to shoulder hit. Yeah it was a nasty hit, but that's football, right? I think this rule should only apply to plays where the ball is over thrown, uncatchable, or dropped. Like Ray Lewis said, "it's a man's game." You make the call... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwAhWlfF3NM
  10. yea every thread i go to results in a useless fight. at least over here theres always a good discussion going on despite the lack of activity on some days.

  11. Huge loss for the Packers, NFC is so wide open.
  12. Ugh, another tough game on our hands. Peyton is going to pick apart our defense if we don't pressure him. Hopefully Trent Williams plays and is healthy throughout the game, we need him to cover Dwight Freeney, or else it's going to be a long night running for McNabb. Our special teams needs to have a good game as well, I think that's going to be key for us tonight. Also, not sure if Hanyesworth is going to play or not, from what I've been reading, the Skins are strongly considering to deactivate him.
  13. same reasons as you, i cant stand the immaturity

  14. fo sho, did u leave rsz or something?

  15. 1. Celtics 2. Heat 3. Thunder 4. Lakers 5. Magic 6. Bulls 7. Knicks 8. Clippers 9. Kings 10. Wizards Read More Here Granted, he's a little biased with his rankings, I actually like the list.
  16. Because he loves basketball, and wants to stay competitive. The NBA hasn't seen this much hype going into a season since Jordan was playing. For the majority of his career he was already being called the greatest ever.... after he retired, you don't think that left an empty feeling amongst the NBA?
  17. I don't get it, you claim that stats play no role in how good of a WR you are, yet you say your performance has a part to do with how good you are. How in the world is Calvin supposed to put up big performances and prove why he's the best when his QB isn't nearly as good as Shaub? The Lions are still in their rebuilding process, it is going slowly but surely, but can you imagine if Calvin was put on a team with a veteran receiver to mentor him, an established QB to throw to him, and other weapons to give him support? He could easily put up Randy Moss like numbers in his rookie season, probably even better. Would you call Jerry Rice the greatest receiver of all time if he had a below average QB throwing to him? I'm willing to bet that all those records Jerry had broken would not have existed.
  18. The season doesn't start for another 20 days, this is a minor strain, I'm not worried about this at all. Nitro is probably right, but I still have faith in Gil and still believe he can come back and help this team. His presence on the court won't delay the development of our younger guys, I think it's pretty clear he's willing to be a team player and is past the 20 shots per game player he once was.
  19. Jordan is known to be pretty cocky and bitter at times, just ask his teammates. My honest opinion is that he can't stand the fact that the league is finally starting to take a turn for the better and is finally growing out of his shadow, hence why he made this comment. Let's not forget, he did also take a shot at Lebron when he first signed with the Heat saying how back in his days, no superstar would team up with another to chase rings. He's so caught up with the superior league he played in, and is resentful towards the league as it exists today.
  20. Saw this posted on another forum, thought it was a good topic... Of this list of very good players who play for bad teams, which do you think is the biggest waste of talent?
  21. Here's what Gil had to say at practice today. Credit goes to Bullets Nation: The knee was not sore? How did coach take that? Was there a better way to do it? Will you go back to not talking again? I agree with everything he said. If you want to read about what Nick Young and Flip Saunders had to say regarding all this, go Here
  22. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5681176&campaign=rss&source=twitter&ex_cid=Twitter_espn_5681176 Ouch, huge loss for the Packers.
  23. 1. John Wall and his ability to make plays. 2. Andray Blatche- despite coming off an injury, he's playing well and is proving to be a consistent post threat. 3. Gilbert Arenas- In his short time that I have seen him on the floor, he's been playing well off the ball and is acting like a true team player.

Read more: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/69539/20101013/arenas_sits_with_sore_knee_later_claims_injury_was_fake/#ixzz12G8uiP2n I understand why Gil did this and totally support the reasoning behind it, but it probably was a little stupid the way he went about the situation. I love the fact that he's trusting his teammates more and has confidence in Nick Young (who needs to have a great year if he wants an extension from us when the year ends). Maybe it would have been best if he had never admitted to this and claimed he was actually hurt.
  25. Yeah Jordan played great, he's an excellent shooter. Wall played great, I love the fact that he can miss 10 shots and still be the best player on the court. He ripped apart the Hawks D with his passes and dribble penetration. Nick was really impressive as well. He played good off the ball and had a nice night shooting. I met the rapper Wale at the game, he was sitting in my row (about 5 seats away from me). Real nice guy too.
