  1. Well it is extremely hard to argue with 2 MVP's regardless of what system you are playing in.
  2. can't tell if this is a troll attempt or not, wouldn't be surprised if you were serious. Anyways the answer is no, you need a Kevin Garnett or a Ben Wallace to be the best defensive team of all time.
  3. your attitude/sarcasm is extremely annoying. what I meant to say was a sophomore not rookie contract (I am sure you will consider this backpedalling but this is of course your goal to annoy me as usual). I don't think a player should win a most improved award when his improvement is expected more than ever (sophomore, even 3rd year which is why I don't like Brooks winning this past year), which is in his 2nd season lol. 2 sophomores have won it in the past 15 years or so, I could be off by 1 or 2, but thanks for the basketball lesson. let me re-write my original post with more clarity: I wouldn't suggest anyone picking Demar or anyone like that, a sophomore has won the award only twice in the past decade and a half so I think it would be somewhat foolish to choose such a young player for an award like this! You should predict someone a few years further into their career like Beasley! lolololololol *insert 2 paragraphs of nothing here to make myself sound smart*
  4. can't tell if srs. how can you talk about potential? he has been in the league 6 seasons, what you see now is pretty much what you will get. best case I see Trevor Ariza in him.
  5. Kobe isn't going anywhere anytime soon and a 40 year old Kobe would still be twice the player JR would be even with a good attitude. I don't know why anyone would want JR, I would stay as far away as possible.
  6. Beasley is my vote for sure... I am expecting huge point totals from him this year. Maybe Bargnani, how can you vote Demar or someone that is still on their rookie contract lol...
  7. yes it can lol. it isn't the end all be all but blocking shots is a pretty big part of defense, look at Dwight Howard, not a terrific man defender but his blocking disrupts entire offenses, same with Camby.
  8. I see Bargnani as a player between a role player and core player. While he brings a lot of good things to the table, spread the floor, solid passer for a 7 footer, and score in the post on smaller players, block the occasional shot, he also brings a lot of bad things to the table like his sometimes non-existent help defense, and his well publicized putrid rebounding. He honestly reminds me quite a bit of a player like Al Horford in terms of his tertiary type of role on a team, not their skillsets obviously, though Horford is probably a better overall player at this point. I think Bargnani is definitely better than Okur, at least the Okur I have watched I didn't see him early in his career. I see Okur as a spot up shooter offensively but Bargnani is deceptively quick and can blow past his defender occasionally, he is actually surprisingly explosive on the perimeter at times. Bargnani needs to take that next step as a player, he has the skills to become better on the defensive end, hopefully with Bosh gone he becomes more assertive because that has always been his biggest weakness as far as I am concerned, his assertiveness. I think he can be a contributor on a winning team, but I don't think he can be a featured offensive player (first or second option at least). He has always been at his best playing off others, he just needs to continue to refine his skills on the defensive end, especially on the glass. He might be an occasional all-star because of the lack of C's, but the key to our future lies in Demar and hopefully a top 5 pick this year, as well as Ed Davis.
  9. Trade Turner+Brand for Melo. Lol jk, I would trade everything except him and Holiday, that means I package whatever attractive assets I have in hopes of dumping the bad contracts. I am not a believer in Speights at all, I get rid of him asap. I don't know much about Turner but from what I take he will be an all-star, will he be a superstar though? If not they are going to need to add another top 5 pick alongside him or another all-star some way. This is why you clean house now, don't go for the playoffs go for the lotto. Take the same route with Turner the Thunder did with Durant. Clean house, have Holiday and Turner grow together and over the next 2-3 years add lottos and slowly progress to the playoffs, it will be painfull for a bit like it was in Seattle/OKC, but in the end it will be worth it.
  10. If I am the Knicks GM I offer Gallo, Chandler and 2 firsts for Melo... he is a top 10 player I don't [expletive] around I try and get a deal done right away. You might not win much this year with your other players but in the coming off-season you will have a ton of flexibility to put pieces around him and Amare.
  11. Milt Polaciao (idk what happened to him lol he kinda sucked but I liked him), Anthony Parker and Sonny Weems. Also Mo-Pete. For other teams it would be Zaza Pachulia, Mickael Pietrus and Nate Robinson.
  12. Hawks have always been one of my favourite teams, I think Joe Johnson is an awesome player but he is definitely best suited for a 2nd option offensive player, him and LBJ in Chicago would have been awesome with Rose. But I think Joe is definitely talented enough to make this team at least in the contending discussion if he has a near perfect cast around him, kind of like Pierce before the big 3. I really don't think this team is that far off, they have a lot of offensive weapons, an upgrade at the C would do wonders because it would shift Josh to the 3, Horford to the 4 and they would be so much better on the glass with Josh at the 3, that is a huge advantage. I think they need a new PG badly, a team like LA can get away with Fisher at PG but Bibby is done and they need to send him to the bench. A big like Chandler (pre injury) would do wonders for them as well. A point like Blake is someone they should have targeted, or even Ridnour. A point who hits his shots and plays solid D is all they need. I don't think they need a Dwight Howard type player (lol honestly who doesn't?) to become contenders, if they aren't 'contenders' already, I think a few upgrades in the rotation, role players, would do wonders for this team. I mean they won 53 games last year so they obviously don't need to be overhauled, they already have the core set in place, they just need better complimentary players. A few tweaks and this could be a team pushing for a finals appearance or at least an ECF appearance vs Miami. I don't think they need another all-star, just a really solid PG and C.
  13. Stole the words out my mouth. I love that he is really the only young superstar that isn't really in that clan of friends like LBJ, Melo, Wade, CP3, Dwight etc.
  14. He basically wants to double his assist numbers lol... hopefully he can just play good efficient basketball. They ain't winning the division though, probably not 50 either unless he becomes an all-star like he is hoping.
  15. lol yeah he should have just stuck around in Cleveland so where he would never play with good enough players to beat the Lakers... and go ringless like Charles. honestly the titles are in Miami and the legacy was in Chicago, nothing was in Cleveland except guilt.
  16. I think 32 MPG is way too much for a 19 year old big man. Give Favors the same Derozan treatment he got in Toronto.... just start him but bring him along slowly... play him 20-25 minutes a night and if he is going good give him more minutes.
  17. It really is a shame because no offense, management has done nothing to earn it.
  18. don't forget http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/02/Fried_egg,_sunny_side_up.jpg
  19. LBJ took Z, Gooden, Hughes and Eric Snow to the NBA finals, foh.
  20. Probably? It isn't even up for debate, LBJ is far superior to Wade.
  21. If Durant and Gordon are on the floor the PG doesn't really need to be able to shoot.
