  1. No one is really suggesting Bosh is a great rebounder, there are few great rebounders in the NBA, that title is reserved for guys like Dwight, Chandler (when healthy a couple years ago at least), Camby etc. But Bosh is definitely in the tier below that, how does playing with Bargnani mean anything? Bosh doesn't go hard for rebounds? He tears boards down, someone has to when guys like Bargs doesn't leave his feet for a rebound. Bosh is one of the few players the past 4 seasons to average 10+ boards a night, that definitely makes him a very good rebounder despite who he plays with, seeing as that is a horrible excuse. Using that logic we automatically shave a couple boards off of D12 too right?
  2. Why else would you say this than to suggest Amare is better? Even if that isn't what you intended, saying Bosh sucks at rebounding is also somewhat comical. Bosh guarding Centers over half his career, getting muscled and destroyed down low, has definitely hurt his perception among people who don't watch him much, such as yourself, and what they think of his defensive capabilities. He is not a defensive anchor, but you don't expect a power forward to be a defensive anchor. He is a solid man defender and will get the occasional block, not much else you can ask for unless you want him to be KG.
  3. We acquire him so we can use his salary in a future deal, you can't package the small TPE we required earlier with players, but we can package Andersen with it. Smart move by BC.
  4. Hopefully his assists go up, his points stay around the same, and his efficiency goes up considerably. 16 and 8 with 2 steals on 45% | 38% | 85% seems reasonable and would help the Bucks a lot, they have the scorers but Jennings needs to manage the team. If he can average 20 and 10 on good percentages then go for it, but if he is going to put up Gilbert Arenas stats, it is useless.
  5. Wasn't he an all-star just a couple years ago? Damn, Josh Howard isn't much worse than Richard Jefferson, if at all.
  6. The nightlife of Miami is already taking it's toll.
  7. Lol at Amare being a better rebounder than Bosh too, this is a funny thread. If Bosh wasn't guarding Centers for half his career people wouldn't be calling him a bad defender. Bosh isn't a great defender, but he isn't a liability on the defensive end either. He is better than Amare at just about every facet of the game besides explosiveness and his post game, which it doesn't even seem Amare is a particularly skilled post scorer.
  8. I haven't even read the entire thread yet and already I'm thinking of not.
  9. I saw this yesterday, it wasn't really worth posting to me since this is the sort of approach BC has taken all summer to me. Just taking subtle shots here and there, saying Bosh isn't a franchise player, just things like that.
  10. Also not sure if you remember, Perkins is out like half the season for the Celtics.
  11. I don't really see how shuffling backups makes the Magic go from 60 wins to potentially 50 or less at the 5 seed on your list. Celtics second is suspect, put the Bulls there for me. Milwaukee will be fighting for a playoff spot all year I think, they won't be a home court team. Atlanta won't be below Milwaukee. Basically I think you can expect the standings to look very similar with the Heat replacing the Cavs, and the Knicks taking that final playoff spot with Cleveland in the gutter, but here is my seedings for now at least, it is hard to say with CP3 still on the block apparently. 1. Miami for obvious reasons 2. Orlando Magic for obvious reasons, same core they will win 55+ games again 3. Chicago Bulls have a talented roster and should win 50-52 games 4. Boston Celtics, this could easily be swapped for Chicago because I think they will fight for the 3rd best record, all depends on health. 5. Atlanta Hawks for obvious reasons 6. Charlotte Bobcats, I don't know why exactly but I am expecting 45 wins out of this team next year 7. Milwaukee Bucks will win 42-45 games next year, everyone will realize Maggette puts up hollow stats. 8. New York Knicks, was hesitant here but adding Amare should add 10+ wins to their team for the final playoff spot, 37-40 wins should do it. 9. Washington Wizards, if Arenas gets them 22 and 6 a night they will win 35 games or so and fight for that final last [expletive]ty spot 10. New Jersey Nets, I know they didn't make a big splash but they hit the tank hard last year, Brook is a year older and they added some role players 11. Philadelphia 76ers not seeing it with this team, not a threat for the playoffs yet unless turner is a major stud 12. Detroit Pistons, enough competent NBA players to win as many games as last year 13. Cleveland Cavaliers, they will find a way to push for 30 wins 14. Toronto Raptors, last would be nice, but last never wins the lotto 15. Indiana Pacers, this is the year they tank!
  12. Iunno, it all obviously comes down to T-Mac. He is still really skilled, but without his athleticism and quickness his game will, and clearly has begun to, suffer. He can still find ways to be effective though, he is still a really good ball handler at the 2/3 position, a streaky shooter but still a threat from the mid range. It will just be hard for him to be effective since I don't see many players that the Bulls have that really compliment his current skill set. Deng and T-Mac on the floor, they have literally no one who can consistently hit a shot from downtown consistently. If they are going to be a threat to the Heat, Rose's supposedly new found 3 point touch better be legit, I mean close to 36% - 38%, and T-Mac will need to be a borderline all-star, or at least a capable starter for them. I figure they will hover around 52 wins or so, they won 40 last year and adding Boozer should add around 7-12 to their total, combined with adding an actual shooter in Korver to their roster. If T-Mac manages to find a way to be effective, I certainly have my doubts, then that is an added bonus.
  13. I thought the youngunz for life would be totally something different.
  14. Game 7 was pretty awesome, it was officiated as well as I could have ever asked, it was just a really good game, where at the end you felt like the truly better team won.
  15. Hawks- Joe Celtics- Nate Bobcats- Gerald Bulls- Noah Cavaliers- Anthony Parker Mavericks- Terry Nuggets- Nene Pistons- Gordon Warriors- Biedrins Rockets- Brooks Pacers- Granger Clippers- Gordon Lakers- Odom Grizzlies- Mayo Heat- The entire big 3, U MAD? 16. leave the kid alone, damn. god forbid someone be active here.
  17. Maybe he is referring to the fact Utah has been relevant for the past 3 years, compared to Minny, which has been the joke of more jokes than the Raptors.
  18. Considering the Nets have been consistently drafting in the late lotto or later, it isn't really fair to criticize the lack of quality players they have drafted in a lot of those drafts, since you are pretty lucky if you are drafting someone who develops into a quality 30+ MPG player out of the top 10. The Nets haven't really made any huge mistakes in the draft, they didn't pick a Kwame Brown, they didn't waste any high lotto picks which is all you can really ask for imo. Brook and Favors is an awesome start, the future is exceptionally bright in NJ.
  19. I really never thought I would see Cavalier and Laker fans unite, it is crazy what one man can do to the landscape of the NBA. Cavs fans everywhere have hopped from LBJ's nuts to wanting him dead or alive, and hoping LA wins a 3rd title.
  20. No, I love KD and I like RW a ton too, but they just aren't talented enough to knock off the Lakers. Unless Harden develops into a 20 point scorer and Westbrook learns how to stick a jumper, I just don't see it happening... I loved the Aldrich acquisition and this team still probably has the brightest future in the league, but guys like Harden and Aldrich are still a couple years away from helping the Thunder contend for a title, in a couple years when the Lakers window is starting to close they have an opportunity for multiple titles if they can retain their core. In a couple years come talk to me, don't be surprised if the Thunder as a team regress this year in terms of their record, I think they really overachieved last year. Houston will be back with yao, Memphis will be another year older, and seems the Hornets aren't trading CP3, I think the Thunder are going to have a hard enough time making the playoffs, nevermind knocking off LA.
  21. I would rather be in our situation than the Pistons and Pacers easily lol..... the Wolves future isn't bleak at all, they have a bevy of talent despite dealing Al Jefferson for trash, and the Nets still have a few talented players, and a sick frontcourt in Brook/Favors in the making. This is a pretty bad article, the Raptors might be in one of the worst situations in the NBA right now, but a top 3 pick in the coming draft would make us one of the brightest young teams in the league, it is that simple... this team has everything besides a franchise player right now, Demar and Barganani are good secondary scorers, Davis is a good defensive big in the making it seems, and we have all the other role players in place.... we just need a top pick in the coming draft, unfortunately Colangelo seems disinterested in obtaining a high pick and would rather win 35 games. Our future is pretty suspect right now, just not for the reasons this idiot thinks. Shooters galore? Not athletic? I think maybe he is still looking at the 2008 roster just taking Bosh off.
  22. I think it is pretty obvious he was the most dominant.... obviously him dominating that doesn't mean it will translate to the NBA, but the difference from last year to this year is pretty crazy, just his comfort handling the ball, his jumper and overall game just looked much more polished. You have to feel comfortable knowing that your 20 year old player demolished the summer league, if he struggled in the SL I would have been pretty concerned. As long as he keeps hitting the gym every day, and working on his game, we got ourselves a keeper.
