Suns 'Desperately' Want Iguodala
Check my Stats replied to Smitty's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
Kind of a weird deal, definitely a lateral move for both squads. Sixers lack direction IMO, they need to tear [expletive] apart and just start over... don't trade your biggest chip for a big man who could easily walk at the end of the year, who also wants a max deal and isn't close to worth it. Sixers C-PF could be the highest paid in the league and neither are worth it. -
2010 Foot Locker 3-Point Contest
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
Just because your team is doing well doesn't automatically make your players more deserving. Anyways... Lol at Anthony Morrow not getting in, someone hates this kid. He is dying to get in, give him a chance smh. -

Kevin Durant is a beast!
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
I can't believe how he became a top 10 player so fast.... I tried to rationalize the Oden selection last year being alright still, but after he has become such a complete player already this early in his career, it is hard to argue Oden will be close to the player KD has become. I thought he might have a Carmelo type of 2nd year, but he got better. Thought he might be the same player in his 3rd year as he was in his 2nd, nope he managed to get better again. Not only is he putting up huge stats his team is winning. Durant will be in the same group as Kobe/LeBron/Wade at this rate. -
He is the best PG in the East but that is not saying much. He still has of holes in his game, and the Celtics definitely USED to hide some of his flaws. He is obviously better now than 2 years ago, but 2 years ago he was really overrated. I still don't think you can be successful in the future when your PG can't shoot, especially with how much the pick and roll is used these days, unless of course you have 3 HOFers to alleviate the pressure offensively and help spread the floor for you. His quickness helps though, I mean you can sag off and the kid can still get by you, he is best suited in a role where he is not featured or relied on to score IMO, and when you are paying a specialist (defensively mostly) like that 10 million, I just don't know if I can consider him an 'all-star', at least perennially yet. I could be wrong though, I mean 15 and 10 are pretty sexy numbers, I am just curious/anxious to see what he does once the big 3 are gone. Also your PG not shooting 60% from the line is pathetic, the PG is supposed to be the closer and the guy nailing down FT's at the end of the game for you.... you can't even have him bring the ball up because if he gets fouled he will probably split them. Would be scary to think how good this kid could be if he developed a solid jumper, not even a great one, just solid.

Is Chris Bosh one of the league's top 10?
Check my Stats replied to TheNextBestThing's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
What BFT said Bosh really has taken another step in his development this year, especially I have noticed as of late he is actually closing games out. A lot of times our guys forget about him and start launching 3's, but when Bosh gets touches down the stretch he usually is a sure bet to get a bucket or get to the line, or at least get a high percentage look. Bosh's D is also criminally underrated, people sometimes act as if he is some sort of defensive liability, when at the least he is a really solid defender, how often do opposing PF's go off on him? He is not a great defender, but he is really solid which is good considering the offensive load he has to carry as well. I believed Bosh was better suited in a role where he had another all-star at his side, or as a 2nd option, but after this year it is clear that Chris Bosh is a legitimate franchise player in the NBA, and is arguably the best PF in the entire NBA. Yes, Chris Bosh is definitely a top 10 NBA player this year. Just wish he could get some consistent support so his team's record would make that deceleration a lot more convincing. It is kind of hard to make a cut and dry list like that though, but when you tihnk of what constitutes a top 10 player, dominant offensively and at least solid on D, I think Bosh fits the bill. I mean all the guys 7-10 on the first posts list, could easily be argued as inferior to Bosh. -
What team has been the biggest disappointment?
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
Even though I figured Piston and Sixers would be out of the playoffs, both have faltered horribly. It definitely has to be the Wizards though, I hate their team the way it is structured, but I believed they had the talent to win at least 37-42 games and sneak into the playoffs after last year's horrible year. It is definitely time to rip that team apart now. They really dropped the ball on that #5 pick deal though, threw that pick away and got nothing of real value in return, hopefully they actually use their pick this year -_- -
Mo Williams out 4-6 weeks
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
How are we, or 'they', using it as an excuse? What was Mo Williams before Cleveland? Oh ya, he was averaging the same numbers as now, on better %'s, on a horrible team as the 2nd option. He is a nice player, but he is not a 2nd option team on a team that doesn't have LeBron James on it. -
Mo Williams out 4-6 weeks
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Because LeBron took a step in higher in his dominance (if you can believe that was even possible). LeBron was absolutely a man possessed last year, just like this year. That team was winning 60 games with or without Mo Williams. Where was Mo in the playoffs? Not trying to hate, I am just showing you a prime example of how Mo is an average player, and when people were expecting him to play like a 2nd option in the playoffs, he was horrible. -
MVP- Kobe vs. LeBron?
Check my Stats replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in General NBA Discussion
Lol Durant is doing good, and should definitely get some consideration, but LeBron is easily the MVP. Let's not kid ourselves, Durant has some solid support right now, but LeBron has mediocre support at best and their team is the BEST in the entire NBA right now. The amount of stock put into 'best player on the best team', combined with the fact LeBron's numbers are so gaudy overall, he is the easy selection for MVP right now, and will be for the next half a decade at least. If you are calling Durant the 'easy MVP', then Bosh should be the 'easy MVP' as well because his team's record is almost the same and he is dominating almost as much as KD is. (This is just an example that I can relate to being a Raptors fan, can't think of any else, just making a point). LeBron is first with a huge dropoff with Kobe/Dirk behind him. If Thunder pull their record up a bit okay, but a guy on a team without 50 wins is not getting considered for MVP ever. Durant this year is just doing what LeBron and Wade have been doing the past 7 years, making mediocre teams good, Wade/LBJ didn't win MVP in those seasons and Durant won't now even though the situation is almost identical. You won't win MVP unless your team is top 3 in the league or your numbers are absolutely insane, and neither of those things apply to KD. -
IS CORMIER EVEN GOING TO THE NHL? WTF? I cannot believe Kovi was traded for this trash.
-
Jagr was still a first line capable player, or 2nd line at worst. He was capable of being a contributor but left for the money, hopefully Ilya can stay. Can't believe he demanded the Thrashers to make him the highest paid player in the NHL, and when they offered the deal he turned it down.
-
I heard Ilya is going to play overseas after this season or something? Idk.... he is a talented as hell player, would be a shame to see him leave to Europe like Jagr did. I guess the guy just wants to play in an actual hockey market, he turned down 12 years and over 100 million, that is pretty crazy and pretty much shows he can get the money wherever he wants lol.

I just picked up the first season of this show to watch on DVD. Got it for 19.99 at the store so I said w/e and picked it up. I'm sitting there paying close [expletive] attention to everything going on because I don't wanna get [expletive]ed over or confused like everyone is saying. Show just seems really weird to me, hoping I enjoy it more as I go on, it is okay but there have been a lot of 'wtf?' moments for me so far, in the first season.
-
So far we are 4-1. Our differential over the first half of this stretch is +8.5 in the 4 wins, which is a really solid number IMO. In this 10 game stretch, if you wanted to call any part of it difficult, it was the first half, now we only have one more back to back against trash teams. Our rest between games is 3 days off, 2 days off, 6 days off (ASW), 1 day off and no days off (back to back). So we are getting lots of rest in between these games against crappy teams. If we could go 4-1 in this stretch that would be great, that would allow us to lose to a really solid Grizz team, I would love to beat them though, payback for that choke job earlier in the season. So far so good though, 7-3 is still my hope, but 8-2 wouldn't be half bad either .

2010 Taco Bell Skills Challenge
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
How is Jennings in this? I guess since CP3 got hurt, though LeBron, Wade or someone else should easily be in. I think Nash or Rose will win, I don't remember who won last year but Rose had a pretty kick-[expletive] dunk, IIRC. Should be decent. -
Mo Williams out 4-6 weeks
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I was just making a point. Mo Williams is not an NBA all-star like people want him to be. He is a sorry excuse for a 2nd option beside LeBron, this team is dominant with or without him. Way too many people said he was the reason the Cavs were so dominant last year, which is wrong. Delonte West is pretty much just as useful on the Cavaliers as Mo Williams is. EDIT: Of course you are better of with him than without him, I just get annoyed when people act as if he is something special when he basically a solid starter and that is it. -

Amar'e Leaning Towards Not Opting Out
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
He will definitely get a max, or close to it, for 6 years from the Knicks if he wants it. I am almost certain Amare will be in a Knicks uniform in 2011, dude is probably trynna create a buzz for himself still You hardly see Wade or LeBron, or even Bosh himself talking about it, but Amare is commenting on his contractual status every other day. Dude should just shut up and play the type of basketball he did 2 seasons ago. -
Raptors Will Be Buyers In Trade Market
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
I doubt we are getting Iggy or Monta, but either of them would be ideal for pretty obvious reasons. Outside of that probably Kevin Martin, just because he would be a good scorer on the wing to complement Bosh, and is probably the best scorer that we could add to this team. Sure he is bad on D, but adding a decent defender on the wing isn't going to turn our team D around. Martin is probably as good as Demar on D anyways, if not better. I just question whether or not Howard and Butler are done, both guys are having pretty bad years and are both pushing 30 now. -
LeBron Fueling Drive For Jamison
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
You are crazy if you tihnk the Wizards are going to pass up the golden chance to dump a salary like Jamison just because it is the Cavaliers. The only thing I would be worried about from a Cavaliers perspective, is the potential situation of the Wizards not waiving or buying Z out for the Cavaliers to re-sign. Sure their history probably makes negotiations more difficult, but if the Cavs are offering what they want, they will surely pull the trigger. -
Raptors Will Be Buyers In Trade Market

Nice to hear, really would like anything at the 2 right now beside Demar, would prefer him coming off the bench and Wright/Marco/Sonny playing more sparingly.
