It has more to do with players forcing their way there than it does to do with Kupchak being some sort of genie, IMO. For example, Toronto could offer the Nets 3rd overall (let's say they move up) and Jonas V for Deron, but the deal would never happen because Deron won't commit. There are probably 4-5 teams he'd commit to, and LA is one. That's why they can get him, not because Kupchak is a genius.

Madden is wack, but I'll prob buy it just cuz the dudes I live with like to play. NHL is the best sports game out there for online play, hardly any cheesy shit goes on. The GM mode is pretty wack though hope they fix it up in the new one.

It is hilarious that everyone says that Pau and Bynum have all these major faults, like they act this way for no reason. There is this other guy on the team who makes one feel like shit every time he makes a mistake (despite the fact he makes plenty himself) and the other guy has a shit attitude because he watches a 34 year old chuck contested 20 footers every time down the floor when he is a more efficient scorer himself.

This is why the NBA is so [expletive]ed up. And this sort of shit happens regularly I bet just a lot less publicly.

Also, Wade has always been a dick head. To answer the question, I probably wouldn't. One, he won a title. Two, he basically was the Heat for 7 years, and you don't just turn around and deal him after one bad season. Three, the real NBA isn't a sim league. I would be shocked if he was dealt to be honest.

Still no idea how he fell so far. The Seguin-Kessel part doesn't bother me, Seguin will probably wind up a better more complete player but Phil is still a stud, its that you got Dougie out of it. that makes it so bad.

Even without Bosh, there is absolutely no excuse for this team to not be in the finals this year. His 15 and 7 with competent defense is pretty replaceable. This injury only becomes a major concern for me if they meet LA in the finals, even then, it's not like Bosh is going to make a major difference against Pau or Bynum other than make those two work on defense (if he is getting touches). Time for Wade to get going.

Durant is a pretty mediocre playoff performer so far in his career, and Artest locked his ass down last time they met in the playoffs. If Durant is content shooting 18 foot step backs all series, LA should have a good shot in this series. Kobe is going to need to make sure his big men are happy and getting lots of touches against OKC. Try to let RW take over when Durant is clanking 20 foot step backs, and just get everyone on OKC pissed off. Honestly I think the key comes down to the Durant-Artest matchup. You can probably take a solid guess at the production everywhere else (other than maybe Kobe/Bynum), but if Durant is content taking those tough step back jumpers, this team could be in serious jeopardy. I think Harden is going to have to step up this series to be honest with you. And if LA won, I wouldn't call it an "upset" at all. I honestly think LA is still one of the best teams in the NBA when they are clicking on all cylinders. And if Bynum is as motivated as he is making himself sound, then things could get interesting. We will see I guess.

Dale Hunter resigns. One of the most bizarre things you will ever see in sports I think. I wonder where Washington goes from here, they've tried so many systems, goalies, coaches, etc and none of it has worked. It will be interesting to see which coaches they go after; if they continue the defensive shotblocking system they used in the playoffs, or go high octane offense again.

LA-NY finals should be pretty big for the game of hockey. I don't know what is more surprising, how lackluster LA was during the regular season, or how utterly dominant they have been in these playoffs.
