The Heat with, and without, Dwyane Wade
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Except Bosh is better alone than every single player in any season LeBron was with Cleveland. LeBron would have no problem making it to the finals if Wade was on this team, and probably winning multiple titles. No doubt about it. This team (even without Wade), isn't remotely comparable to the trash he played with in Cleveland. Yeah LeBron was bad in the finals last year, but every playoffs prior he has been an absolute beast. When LeBron struggled (if you can even call it that) in Cleveland, no one was there to pick him up, whereas Kobe can win a title shooting 6-22. *Waits for all the stats about how good the role players in Cleveland were* -
Looking back at the Carmelo Trade
Check my Stats replied to DunkinDerozan's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Talent is not a problem for this team, coaching is. No reason this can't be a 50 win team as constructed (in an 82 game season). Knicks made the right choice, you always take quality over quantity in this league. This team needs a coach who can get Melo and Amare to buy into basic defensive principles, and how to play in a structured half court offense, instead of going one on one more often. D'Antoni's answer to everything is "we need more spacing" or "guys just aren't comfortable". dude is an absolute meatball and should go coach in Europe, he has no business coaching an NBA team. Also Amare is playing like shit, think it is time to start running some more pick and rolls maybe? Smh. -
Important stretch here, need to win all 3 of these games vs Islanders/Canadiens.

Possible for D-Will to Sign with the Raps?
Check my Stats replied to Pound the Rock's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
He should consider us pretty desirable. Our core is pretty decent, and a point would definitely make us pretty nice going forward, depending on the development of Ed, Jonas, Demar and our draft pick this year. However, there is no chance, because unfortunately this is real life and not a sim league, and basketball players, being as they are, want to play on a good team AND somewhere hot. -
I am so out of the loop these days I don't even know if any other boards exist! RealGM is awesome for getting updates, but other than that no thanks... to much happening there.
-
I honestly think James Johnson can be an awesome role player if he can ever become a respectable shooter. Not even good, just respectable.
-
Been slacking on my Raptors watching this year big time, but after reading your posts, I just flicked it on and Demar is going off lol. Best I've seen him look, they need to run plays for the kid, he isn't the sort of player you can just give the ball and say "go get yours kid". Jose definitely doesn't help, Mr. eat up 20 seconds then dish it off for a shitty look.
-
Why would anyone want him. Is he even really considered a point guard? He is like a 2, but plays the 1 because of his size, but also, he sucks at being a 2 because he can't score (efficiently), hasn't shot above 44% since leaving Dallas, and being given a key role.

There are always issues when players (RW) don't know their roles. I do everything I can to retain Harden though if I am Presti, even if it costs me Ibaka (who I think is sometimes pretty overrated, and I am a fan of his).. I think Harden is an all-star in this league. Also I think it is crazy to think that Perkins is overpaid when you consider market value for bigs is so stupidly high. The Chris Paul bandwagon is gone, but what about Deron come deadline time? Nets could be desperate, and the price may not be quite as high as it was for CP3, especially considering Deron's value might be at an all-time low right now. I tell them I can send them anything other than Durant and Harden for him to get it done honestly. Westbrook+Ibaka+Aldrich+ a pick or two? I think that is a pretty great deal for New Jersey given the circumstances (if they don't have D12 by the deadline). If Deron isn't willing to sign an extension, well then he's a retard.

The Heat with, and without, Dwyane Wade
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I don't think really any team is better without a Wade, but honestly LeBron is so good that him being there almost doesn't matter, it just means LeBron has to play to the best of his ability, rather than coast. I think the team might have more clear roles with wade not there.. Bosh knows his role as a 2nd option, where he should be, everyone knows LeBron is THE man, every night, not just some nights. But you don't trade a Dwyane Wade, after all he has done... this isn't a sim league... it is like LA dealing Kobe (to an obvious lesser extent).. Wade should retire there unless he leaves via FA/requests a deal. I don't think they are better without Wade, but I honestly am not sure if they are worse either, LeBron is just that good, and Bosh is good enough that he can fill that void as the 2nd option. The Heat are a more traditional team with Wade gone, with a 1st option in LeBron, 2nd in Bosh and then solid role players... with Wade you have this 1A, 1B then a 3rd option type of situation. -
The Most Underrated Player in the NBA: Monta Ellis
Check my Stats replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Absolutely agree. Dude was a THE best PF in the game before he went to Miami, and I don't care what any tells me; his numbers were not hollow, we would have been a playoff team if he doesn't injure his ankle and then get his face smashed, and that is with very, very mediocre players on our roster. -
Hopefully we have a legit team by that time next year. Should be cool though, I am going to do quite a bit in my power to get tickets for that. It would be wild.

Westbrook wants $94mill extension w/ OKC
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
This is what a team with cap would give him if they have the chance... you don't pay players what they are worth, you pay them market value... market value for Russell Westbrook is max money... sorry to break it to you. -
Report: Deron Williams is Rockets' primary trade target
Check my Stats replied to Dash's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
It is so hilarious that Houston is in every trade/fa rumour, and everyone still eats it up despite them never making a move. -
So LeBron wins in a landslide as the best SF, but those same people wouldn't want to start a franchise with him? Explains why so many teams are so horribly run. Give me the 27 year old who shows absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime soon over the younger guy (only 4 years mind you) who is supposed to "get better", but is still the same player he was 2 years ago. Durant is so overrated it is insane, if anyone deserves to be in the class with LeBron in the "start a team with" debate, it is Rose, not Durant. Smh.

NBA GM Survey: Rookies and International

2 votes for Bargnani, how did Colangelo manage to submit 2 votes? -
It's not ideal, but it isn't like Kobe has been playing Tim Duncan type minutes the past years, he is only up 3-4 minutes a game. And nothing will keep Kobe off the floor, whether that is a good or bad thing, well that remains to be seen. Obviously you'd like to get his minutes down, but who takes them? Guys like Darius Morris and Ebanks are already averaging over 15 minutes a game when they do play, which is already a lot for guys like them. This team is in desperate need of a backup wing, problem is, they probably don't want to shell out the money (probably like 3-5M) for a legitimate wing, because they'll have to pay double on the lux tax, or whatever it is, so they will be stuck playing sub-par ones until someone becomes available willing to sign for cheap. I was pretty surprised they didn't try hard to get Pietrus (could be wrong, wasn't paying much attention at the time). So my thought is that this is mildly concerning, and that nothing will "tear down" Kobe Bryant... he'll play hurt even if it means he has to shoot 30% from the field.

O.J. Mayo’s Back On the Block
Check my Stats replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
A crap team needs to pick this guy up and give him a shot... paging Kahn. In all seriousness, Mayo is suffering from Michael Beasley syndrome. Even though Beasley sucks balls, at least he got a shot so we could know for sure... I want Mayo to get a fair shot at having a significant role on a team before we give up on him entirely. I just don't know how a rookie can average 19 points a game on Kobe type percentages then wind up what he is now. I still think there is a place for an OJ Mayo on a lot of teams in this league. -
Just got this idea from the other thread, when Nitro said that they should deal off KG and Allen, probably for picks... and also on RealGM when I saw that teams are supposedly inquiring about Pierce (already). Pierce makes around 15M annually, KG makes 21M this year but is a free agent after, and Allen makes an extremely manageable 10M this year, and is a free agent after. What teams do you picture as interested in these guys, if they were somehow available? As a GM, realistically, what sorts of assets would you even be willing to part with for them?

The Miami Heat are the overwhelming favorite to win the 2012 NBA Finals, according to a survey of general managers. I think that title belongs to Demar Derozan.. what an utter disappointment he has been.. some of the blame goes on Casey for poor utilization, forcing him to work heavily out of isolation situations as well as a spot up shooter, rather than freeing him up off the ball first. Still, Demar needs to be better, bottom line.

Sheridan: Dwight has added Clippers to wish list
Check my Stats replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Hilarious.. it's too late now you moron, at least if you want your cake and to eat it too, which all these players do.. these players don't know what they want, and it pisses me off. -
Shaq calls Bynum "Best big man in the league"
Check my Stats replied to GamerGuy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Shaq still hates Dwight, all because he got that Superman nickname. So dumb, Bynum isn't even in Dwight's league, not even close.. for all the limitations Dwight has, he still managed to put up 23 points a game last year, and about 20 every year (on usually between 10-14 shots, not really THAT much more than Bynum). Andrew might have a more versatile offensive arsenal, but it's like the old Kobe-LeBron debate... Kobe might have more in his arsenal, but LeBron is still more effective... same shit with Dwight and Bynum. This isn't even a debate.. you're arguing probable all-star with top 5 player.
