Detroit is more of a basketball city than N.O. That's one thing you have to look at, too. Just the general history of the team means a lot. Just because your team has a nice year doesn't mean the fans will be there.

Idk. Wiz can get lyrical at times, but Wayne's "lane" in hip-hop is more lyrical than Wiz...so probably. Wayne's had a much better career. Khalifa's put out one mediocre album, another solid album, and one great mixtape. Lil Wayne has put out arguably 3 great mixtapes, and at least 2 very good albums. As well as countless other dope features. Wiz Khalifa's mixtapes are quality; but he's just a chill, get high while listening rapper. It's really a different part of hip-hop. Nah, Dedication 3 is sick too, and Tha Drought 3 as well is very good mixtape wise for Wayne. Well, they are two different rappers. Wayne's great at the punch line style of rapping (arguably mastered it in the prime of his rapping career; admittedly has fallen off) and Wiz Khalifa has been great at the relax and get stoned hip-hop. Wiz never really flashes you with great lyricism, although he's underrated as a lyricist IMO. Yeah, two very good projects.

This thread seems like a "pick you're favorite team to win the Finals" thread. Lol. But, no really, I'm surprised how many people picked Boston. I think they'll get through Round 1, but after that I'd be surprised. Not having that defensive front line of Perkins and Garnett is just a huge blow IMO.

NBA's fixed^ Nah Philly has no one they can go to for the big shot. It's a major problem. Iggy isn't that guy. Brand isn't either. When they need a clutch hoop, they don't have a Melo, LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Rose, etc.

Game was kind of boring until the 4th quarter. Then the playoff atmosphere really kicked in and in the last 3 minutes the Bulls got their ass into gear!! D-Rose was just the total difference, setting up teammates, scoring big buckets/ft's late...just a tremendous finish even though I was rooting for the underdog.

Pacers are better than people think. They are very up and down though. They can either get really hot, and surprise people, or just be down right awful. That's why there's no way they can win a 7 game series, but they could force it to six.

That's kind of harsh words from D'Antoni. Maybe trying to motivate Fields a bit more before the playoffs? (Don't think he needs motivation though...) I think D'Antoni is somewhat right, but the system did change. The ball moves less. When Fields does his back door cuts, Melo and Stat and Billups don't find him nearly as effectively as Chandler, Gallo, and Felton. It's that simple.

I say the Celts in 6, almost all the games very close. Just can't see the Knicks being deep enough and overall well-rounded to beat a team with so much experience. Melo's the better defender by the way. Melo's actually one of the most underrated defenders in the League when he cares.

Yeah, that's the problem. You need to deliver the lyrics with better flow and delivery. By that I mean, more emotion and sound like you actually care. The monotonous tone is a huge problem if you want people to take you seriously as a rapper and you wan't to try to sell your art in the future or become known. Perfect example of how J. Very true - I agree. But I've seen them several times against the Knicks, and although they play very very hard and get after you on defense, the team just isn't that great. They are definitely lacking "something" and I think Rudy Gay could provide that "something" if he wasn't injured.

Memphis isn't even that good...people are really overrating the hell out of them. They had a nice season but they really are not that great. I don't expect them to give any of the top seeds trouble. I think Portland will beat Dallas if that ends up being the matchup, in 7 games. Every game will be close but I think Portland will be able to pull it out.

Knicks played alright. Mostly played our reserves, although we were definitely trying to win the game. I am disappointed D'Antoni isn't playin STAT in these games at the end. He should play 15-20 minutes just try to keep any rust off.

I just pray the Knicks will continue to play well. If they go back to playing poorly, they'll get swept and it'll just be embarrassing LOL.
