  1. Yeah....I mean, not only is that team horrible depth wise but we think NYK is bad defensively now...what happens when we give up our three best defenders?!
  2. I thought they'd be trading Randolph, lol... But yeah no way the Knicks are giving up Mozgov as well. But then again, can you really let Mozgov be the deal killer if you want Carmelo that badly?
  3. He does nothing but Walsh's [expletive] work. Everyone know's Walsh has all the power, and above him obviously, Dolan...
  4. Absolutely. I got friends who could dunk over the hood of a car...it's only like 4 feet high if that? he could've been more creative with that, but hell, he'd be risking his career lol.
  5. I agree with you about the texting while driving - [expletive] is mad dangerous. I do it too often...I'm starting to get better with it. haha nah he didn't he's just saying that we probably won't care bout that either
  6. I voted no...but it did seem quite biased but I don't think it was actually 'fixed' I just feel like people are in love with Griffin. Maybe cuz he's another light skinned [expletive]a...they love us lmao
  7. No one is upset. Believe me - I'll sleep fine. We are just discussing the fact that because of Blake's insane explosiveness and talent and how well he's done in his Rookie year, people severely overrated his dunks tonight when McGee had far more creativity and Ibaka had that real sick leap from the foul line.
  8. yeah it's getting pretty wack now. can't wait til thursday so we have a situation that's resolved whether hes a net, knick, mav, laker, rocket or nugget.
  9. So are teh Knicks gonna get this deal done or what fellas? lol
  10. Agreed with all, except for the bolded. The first Griffin dunk was disgusting - case closed. The arm in the rim was pretty ill, but it was over-hyped as well. I love watching Griffin play, I have nothing against him, but god are people on his [expletive].
  11. Was I right or what? First off... Definitely one of the better dunk contests I've seen over the past few years for sure. First round was real sick. McGee was mad creative, BG was on some next level [expletive], and Ibaka was nasty. Even DeRozan was quality for sure. Secondly, Ibaka got [expletive]ing screwed by the judges. His dunks were nasty, and he got 45 and 45. The first should've been a 50... Lastly, Griffin's dunk over the car was not that great - sorry. The car was only like 4 feet off the ground. I thought he was going to jump over the sun roof of the car, catch the ball, and maybe even land back on the car. But to just jump over the hood was impressive, but it got over-hyped.
  12. Griffin is taking it also because he has the hype surrounding him. Anything the guy does is instantly unheard of, amazing, etc. so he'll get great scores.
  13. Yeah, exactly...LOL.. HOV you take every comment in this thread about texting so critically and seriously.
  14. Great article in the Times today. Check it out... Nets Themselves the Biggest Obstacle to Luring Anthony source: NY Times...article by Howard Beck... http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/19/sports/basketball/19beck.html?_r=1&ref=sports
  15. That's retarded. They should get rid of the lottery and do it like the NFL does.
  16. Good points. Also, Felton has definitely worn down the past 20 games or so too. Even he has too much of a burden trying to carry the team and play a ton of minutes. I'd love to see a third-team get involved and the Knicks may get another PG...Not sure how many minutes Billups can play in this system at his age.
  17. Nah it's called giving a huge contract to Allan Houston when he had knee problems...they are probably still paying him his contract which is why he is the Ast GM
  18. The combination of Lopez and Anthony will not put the Nets first rounders at the bottom. They'll be like a 7th or 8th seed at best...
  19. I agree with the first part for the most part. That's basically the logic behind them. I guess it's just hard for me to personally, as stupid as this may sound, to part with Chandler Felton and Gallo. I've really come to enjoy watching these guy fight and scrap for every win. They play so hard....something I can't always say about all Knick players in the past decade. Hopefully something with this situation gets resolved soon.....either the Knicks just trade for him or don't.....lol.
  20. NYC is the mecca of basketball. The Garden is a historical arena. The Knicks were a great franchise in the 70's and if Jordan didn't play, they would've won a champ or two in the 90's... Anyway, My point is that NYK is still a more attractive team to go to for a Carmelo than the Nets. Even when they move to Brookyln. They are still the Nets. I hate to sound biased like that, but it's like the Yankees and Mets. It's like, one is "the franchise" with allure and history and the other has had it's bright moments, but the second class citizen of the city. I know it sounds biased but it's just true. The Nets have a lot of nice young talent (favors and lopez) and those four first rounders I'd rather see them build with that then depleting their roster to get Melo so they can be a 7th or 8th seed at best and then back on getting some big name F.A.? Some of those could be lottery picks...at least this season. Not saying the Nets couldn't build a team around Lopez and Anthony, it'd just be more difficult than it would be for the Knicks IMO.
  21. You raise good points, but one thing is that Gallo is a better defender than people give him credit for. Shutdown? No. But he's pretty good defensively. As far as Melo, yes he's a very good scorer, but he isn't a great rebounder, and I was watching Nugs games the past few weeks and he doesn't pass very often. His game will have to change a bit with Stoudemire. How will they play together? I don't see their games flowing together well at all...both obviously like to be "the man."
  22. I agree. I actually don't mind zone defense just wish there was no three seconds in the key. Or if you want to ban the zone defense then get rid of the three seconds in the key regardless.
  23. In a perfect world, that's ideal.....but then when you lose him to the Nets, or let's say he even gets convinced to sign in Denver, you're still missing out a superstar in his prime...then you're really depending on Chandler, Gallo, Fields to step up over the next 2 or 3 seasons and be much better than anticipated. So it's really a tough call. At this point I can see both sides; still leaning towards not doing the deal if I were the Knicks GM.
