  1. But their music is completely different in the sense you can't compare Rick Ross to Eminem. Sure it's the same "genre" I guess, but Eminem is more of a poet, he's more of trying to tell a story when Rick Ross is just throwing out typical [expletive]erish [expletive] and gangsta [expletive] with a nice beat. You can't compare Currensy and Wiz to Nas...They aren't trying to get real lyrical. If you don't like to listen to Ross, Wayne, Drake, etc. etc. I can completely understand that. Doesn't make them wack. They still put out quality music, you just have to understand they aren't trying to be the greatest MC of all time. They aren't trying to get real lyrical. Lol. Idk what it is...dude's just don't seem to understand that aspect. Wayne is a punchline rapper, he tries to come up with clever lines...When you listen to J.Cole, his songs try to tell a story and are real deep....comparing J.Cole to Nas is actually possible. Comparing Ross to Nas doesn't even make any sense.
  2. Yeah exactly. But like that's exactly why I listen to Ghostface Killah AND Rick Ross. But on this forum everyone acts like you can't listen to both. Why? Why do rappers have to always be in competition with each other? I'm not saying Ross is a better MC than anyone. Sometimes I like to hear some bass hit and some gangsta [expletive]. Other times I wanna hear some chill party music like a Wiz. Other times I wanna hear a deep song by Em, Nas, Big L, or Raekwon. People on this site act like you're completely wack for listening to Rick Ross or Wayne or Drake just because they aren't great, deep lyricists. I find it funny as [expletive].
  3. Who cares who's considered the best shooter ever?? It's obvious both were incredible. I'd take either on my team haha.
  4. Good point...sometimes I get tired of listening to him myself, need a change haha and I put on Dave Matthews Band or somethin LOL. But I think that mainstream rap has become so limited as far as the topics, that I'm not sure if that'll happen anytime soon to Wiz. The mainstream has really become obsessed with him. College kids love Wiz and it's obvious why. Lol.
  5. True. His topic is limited, but like you said he's just a chill rapper. No one is crowning him the GOAT or anything, so no need to worry. Dude is just gettin money and havin fun....sounds good to me.
  6. Word, I hear you. Does get repetitive...but that's Wiz & Currensy...They do what they do ya know... But, this, and black & yellow aren't about smoking weed. Of course he drops a line about it, but this song's title is actually completely misleading. You think about rollin up a joint, but that's not at all what this is about...
  7. Eventually, yes...but probably not within the next 10 or 15 years...I could see it 20 years down the road though. I'm sure in the 70's or 80's if you asked if there was going to be a black president a lot would've said no, or maybe 30 years down the road...I think it's similar here.
  8. Nah man, most people I know it goes like this...they see the story on the news...interested for 5 minutes and feel bad...then go back to living their "busy" lives. They feel they can do nothing to help, and as Lkr said, it doesn't really effect them, so they really don't care.
  9. Not really. He's a laid back rapper having fun. Not every guy needs to spit a verse about growing up poor and how hard of a [expletive]a he is.

    .Curren$y

    damn that's tough man
  11. He's a pretty bad announcer with all of his stupid vocabulary. Like calling Fields a "procosius neophyte..." wtf... But I do like him still with his funny suits and he is the voice of the Knicks haha. Solid game for the Knicks...got a lot out of Mozgov...shocking. HOV's fav player Anthony Randolph got in for a few minutes...contributed nothing as usual. I, too,w ould like to see him play a bit more. But overall a nice win for teh Knicks. Amare came alive in the second half...Knicks needed to get this win. They HAVE to win these games at home...Have the Mavs and Lakers coming up in the next five games...including two games against Philly and one against the Clippers. Should win at least three of those (four of the games are home...)
  12. This thread has turned into a ridiculous debate about the effects of marijuana. Ok, yes, marijuana is addictive...at least for some people. Yes, probably not physically addictive, but it certainly is mentally. I know people who can't go a day without smoking, ok? So, yes it's definitely addictive and I'm sick of people saying it isn't. It definitely depends on how often/much you smoke, and who you are as a person. Some get hooked on it for sure. Now...it isn't impossible to quit or stop. And if you've been smoking everyday for a longggg period of time, then yes, it will certainly effect your mood swings, so MB is right in that sense. But then again...that has nothing to do with this topic....soo....
  13. I don't think he'll reach Jordan I think he'll be right behind him though.
  14. LeBron certainly deserves consideration. But just because Miami finishes ahead of the Knicks or even a team like Chicago or Dallas means virtually nothing in the large scheme of things for MVP of the season. The fact of the matter is LeBron has two world class players in Wade & Bosh. Unless they both go out with an injury for a significant amount of time and he's left to be the only star and 'savior' of the season, then he doesn't deserve it. The other guys are way more valuable to their team. If LeBron goes out with an injury, and Wade and Bosh are both healthy at the time LeBron's injury were to occur, I guarantee the Heat would be OK. They would certainly not be as good or as complete of a team as they are with the trio healthy, and LeBron is obviously the best overall player out of the three, but they'd still survive and probably be 4th at least in the East maybe even 3rd. Exactly. Plus don't forget I believe the Mavs really struggled when Dirk went out earlier this year. And if Amar'e went down, let's be real, the Knicks wouldn't even make the playoffs in a terrible Eastern Conf.
  15. Yeah, let's face it...most people don't care in the U.S. It's unfortunate, but the truth. No need to sugarcoat it. But at the same time, what are we supposed to do? I feel bad for the citizens over there but there's not much I can do from my house in New Jersey.
  16. Hahahha yessss down goes duke! Prepare for another loss Wednesday Blue Devil fans!
  17. I just got home about a half hour or so ago, so I'm going to try to catch the second half. I just turned it on and the Lakers jerseys are so sick. I like those so much more than the current.
  18. I'd so no. He's having a good season for sure, on a good team obviously, but when you're playing with two other all-stars, you're not the most valuable player in the league. When he was on the Cavs it was no question they'd collapse without him. With Miami, if he went out for a few games, they'd probably be fine as long as Wade and Bosh were healthy. Amar'e, Rose, Nowitzki all need serious consideration as well. If you took those three of their teams, they'd basically collapse...That's what contributes to a true MVP IMO. How much do you mean to your team? Those guys are more valuable to their team than LeBron is to the Heat because they still have plenty of firepower with Wade and Bosh.
  19. Lol...this has nothing about that. It's called intensity. I was playing in a game as a Freshman about five years ago...It's a 12 pt game with 25 seconds left. I'm in the backcourt with the PG of the other team during a FT attempt for OUR team. The kid blatantly comes up and shoves me...I'm like wtf? I got right in his face and I was like what the [expletive] is the issue? And he backed up and we were separated by the refs... But still..these scuffles happen all the time. Some players are naturally more emotional than others... The fact you're making this a topic about drugs is laughable.
  20. Well he did say something. Probably like get the [expletive] off me or you're going to get killed.
  21. I felt bad for Oden for a second...then I realized he has millions of dollars.
