I just don't really see this happening. And even if it did, they'd have to trade some pieces to get him, whether it be Peja's expiring, Ariza, West and they would still be just a playoff contender and not a championship contender.

I honestly don't think Gil has worn out his welcome in Washington. If he can co-exist with Wall and help mentor and tutor him to become a fantastic player, why trade him? It hurts their chances of making the playoffs when they can make them much sooner rather than later. With players like Blatche, Hinrich, Thornton, JHow, Yi, and McGee, this team has a lot of decent depth. Add in players like Morrison (MOST FINALS EXPERIENCE!!!), Nick Young, Mardy Collins, and Hilton Armstrong, I can definitely see this team making the playoffs this year if not, for sure next year. You definitely keep Arenas now for the time being.

Despite this set back now, I still think he'll have a good season this year. His time will come.

I can't wait for Gil either. He's still easily one of my favorite players in the league, even during this whole situation, I didn't start to hate him like other people did. I realized it was a dumb mistake on Gil's part, people make mistakes, we move on from it. Can't wait.

I wonder who voted for Oden? While I don't think Oden will be an all-star this season or next, he could very well in the near future as there aren't many centers in the West that are of quality right now. Bynum will probably become an all-star first.

The Blazers have always given the Lakers trouble when they play. Even when LA is at home, the Blazers still keep the game very close and in your face. The Lakers struggle greatly in Portland but if LA has HCA, they'll always prevail against us, sad to say. I still think we're the biggest threat against LA though.

Right now, it's easily the Lakers. You're talking about a team who hasn't proved anything against two time defending champs. Sure the Heat look scary good but the Lakers ARE scary good...as much as I hate to admit it.

Even if Oden doesn't come back, the Nuggets will struggle against our defense. The Blazers were one of the top defensive teams last season without Oden and Przybilla in the lineup.

I couldn't tell which Miller sister it was, I assumed it was Coco as I think she's the one that plays more often than Kelly. Also, I think she missed a game tying/winning shot in the first game after Sue hit the mid range jumper to give the Storm the lead.

Back late August, there was a report of a woman that had acid thrown onto her face by a random person for no apparent reason. Damn it, I missed all but the last 40 seconds of this game. I was really looking forward to watching it but had a lot of errands to run today before I got home. I could have sworn that McCoughtry's last shot was going to go in to send the game into overtime.
