  1. Injuries he suffered a lot of them after the great Miami Heat vs Chicago Bulls series in 05 where Deng lead the Bulls to victory. He's also getting less touches this year as a result of being the third option. He has a lot of open attempts created by Derrick Rose and Carlos Boozer.
  2. Sir Charles: "Derrick Rose Is The Best Point Guard in the NBA" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtbnmGAsvOE&feature=player_embedded Charles Barkley and later Chris Webber also agreed. Sir Charles Ranking: #1 - Rose #2 - Williams #3 - Paul Thoughts? My ranking: #1A - Williams #1B - Rose #1C - Paul
  3. Rose would have rather had Joe Johnson, who he dearly wanted because he could have been the second playmaker + ball handler and relieve the pressure of creating on Rose therefore the opposing team would not be allowed to trap Rose at the top and the team's offense would be stagnant then. Joe Johnson would fit the bill perfectly because he is a great 3 point shooter, unlike compared to LeBron. Rose is not going to bow down to anyone, Chicago swagger.
  4. Derrick Rose Posts Triple Double Against Memphis http://a.espncdn.com/photo/2011/0117/chi_g_rose01_400.jpg Derrick Rose: 22 Points, 12 Assists, 10 Rebounds http://hoops-nation.com/public/style_emoticons/default/clap.gif
  5. Luol Deng - One of the Most Under Appreciated Players in the NBA Today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hrKgQgncuo&feature=player_embedded I loved this video because it shows the life of Luol Deng through Rags to Riches... How did he come to be? Well he is Sudanese and his father was apart of the Sudan government, a high official, and he moved his family to England to escape the Sudanese Civil War. Deng quickly grew to love the game of basketball and he played for England's squad and was very good. He was averaging 40 points and 14 rebounds... Then, Luol moved to USA and Deng was considered the second most promising high school senior in America after LeBron James. He was named First Team All-America and could not showcase his talents to the world because of an injury. He played college ball at Duke under Coach K. He was only the 10th freshman in ACC history to lead all rookies in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage... Deng entered the draft in 2004 after a year in Duke. He was picked seventh by the Suns and then traded to the Bulls and the rest is history as you know, he led the Chicago Bulls to beat the Miami Heat in a playoff series... People always say he is one of the most overpaid players in the league, but his contract is deferred(30%/40% deferred) and he is great at what he is doing currently for his contract. Most of the money of the contract goes to the Lost Boys of Sudan... That is why Luol Deng is a great person on and off the court and is one of the most under appreciated players in the league today...
  6. http://sports.espn.g...e=wilbon/110115 Great Read.
  7. The first one does sound old, I like it though.
  8. He might go down worse then Eddy Curry at this rate. Eddy Curry just didn't try.
  9. We must destroy the cheese heads on Sunday and Lovie Smith's goal when he was hired was to beat the Packers everytime they played us... He'll play the starters.
  10. PG Comments: Did anyone of you guys catch when Sanchez was audibling and Urlacher was mocking him? Urlacher playing his mind tricks again. Cutler was simply amazing in the third quarter especially with game management. He threw passes in bad weather perfectly and the receiver corps did a great job running their routes and executing. Props to the offensive line for giving Cutler A LOT of time. Our defense was not that great but the offense picked up the slack and played GREAT. It's refreshing to see these rare days when the offense potential is unlocked, wish it was more consistent. Devin Hester and the special teams group got us into Jets territory ever return except one which was at our own 38.... Thank you Dave Toub for being a great coordinator. On to Lambeau Field to whoop some cheese heads!
  11. Yeah, the Bulls FO didn't like T-Mac because he had "attitude problems" but he just said he was going to come in, "go hard and compete for the starter spot", which every person wants to hear because that's what all NBA players should strive for. Another thing people seem confused by is the Brewer injury, he got injured during training camp, and the period where we wanted Mcgrady was when Brewer was fine. Tracy could have lead the second group as the point-forward, while the Bulls have CJ watson to play the shooting guard role, where he is most suited for. That would have been great. We'll trade you James Johnson for Tracy Mcgrady ... lol.

  13. http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/wiretap/photos/2006/Turner_Evan_phi_20101108.jpg Well, Collins needs the kid a set position to play. I think Turner could be a good point-forward in the league, but they need to trade away Iggy for Turner to really excel because Iggy is taking that position away from Turner. Discuss.
  14. http://www.sfgate.co...L#ixzz19VrVdi9E I think the Kings are trying all these "wake up" tactics with Cousins. Wake up, we're fining you. Wake up, you're benched. Wake up, we might send you to the D-League. I just don't think that's the way to get through to him.

Well kids don't let LeBron and his vocabulary be your role model Regardless of your view of contraction LeBron James is committing a major fallacy, faulty appeal to authority, and his view is not intelligent nor selfless. Obviously he is trying to save his own skin here, because if more super teams form, he doesn't seem like the ultra douche he is, plus he likes to hear himself blather. The proposition of eliminating a few teams and moving players around is preposterous and ignorant. Regardless of the number of teams there will always be bad teams because there always has been and will be bad teams in the league. It's a statistical and historical fact. Contraction is not a bad thing, if it makes business sense for the NBA to do it. There are some small market teams that could be contracted because they are doing a poor job gaining revenue and these are the types of teams the NBA must contract. LeBron wants the league back to the '80s, but in the 1980's, yes there were less # of teams but there were still outright terrible teams amongst the great ones. It's a cycle, there will always be bad teams and good teams, it's a historic fact. You want to know the reason why there is bad & good teams in the NBA? One word: Mismanagement. It was the reason in the past and it remains the reason today. Luck in the lottery and drafting well can help balance that out, but that is only a temporary solution for bad management. For example, take the Cleveland Cavaliers. They lucked into drafting LeBron James, giving them the chance to be a contender for multiple years. They didn't manage the salaries well by making a low-ball offer to Boozer while letting him out of his contract a year early and then also didn't match Utah's offer. Then they thought Larry Hughes was the right role player for LeBron James... Huge Mistake. They brought in Drew Freaking Gooden, one of the softest players in the league, to replace Boozer, that was a mistake as well. Mo Williams, inconsistent and pricey, fades away when clutch moments arise. Then to sum it all up, trading for Antwan Jamison instead of Amare Stoudemire because they weren't willing to deal Hickson. Horrible decisions and mismanagement by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Jordan's Wizards are another example when he was still in Washington. Every team in the league has the chance to be good and get to a contender status, that's the truth. Mismanagement is the way to destruction as seen by many examples and contraction of teams is not the answer. The NBA needs better ownership and better management, that is the answer...
