  1. Kobe's shooting performance will eventually fall. I remember around maybe two seasons ago, Kobe was shooting lights out to start the season until a night in Memphis where he broke his finger. He also has incredible shooting nights around the month where we play at NY. But he also has a week or two where he slumps. The difference here is Steve Nash who can helpfully get him shots that are easy and efficient. His cold streaks come from when he forces the shot off the dribble, but with Nash creating shots it may be easier for Kobe. We'll see though. Defensively, TBH I haven't seen Kobe do anything special. Looking back on games where the SG were shooting low FG% I didn't think that Kobe was causing all of that. Some of those players against us with low FG% were Joe Johnson, Mayo, Harden, Klay, etc., and they seemed to either just be having off nights or were affected by Dwight. Mayo, for example, has been shooting hot from the three this season (50%), but the other day he was 0/5. Also, from what I remember Harden was suffering from some kind of flu when we played them. I really don't even consider Kobe to be the top perimeter defense on the team. MWP has been playing his best season as a Laker so far. It says a lot about what a good defensive team anchor and team effort can do to individual stats. Which I guess brings me to one of your points.
  2. you know things aren't your night when Vince Carter is playing more efficiently than the rest of the team.
  3. I bet yugo went crazy seeing parsons play this well
  4. Good to take away is the identity of the second unit. They found production at the expense of hill's playing time. unfortunately, he doesn't have much if a place in this offense unless he takes paus spot
  5. Looking pretty effortless for Memphis starters. The offense is impressively fluid especially when its run through marc. Meanwhile Kobe is missing stuff he'd usually make
  6. If I'm coaching staff I'm hating every time he's posting up. But Nash will solve howards scoring output immediately.
  7. A Jamison sighting... As the second unit outplays the starters. Decent rotation here. Memphis was getting everything they from the starting five.
  8. Not yet ready. A win here would be pretty great, but really I'm not expecting it
  9. Kemba being efficient is pretty surprising. I still need to watch him play which is surprising in that I actually want to watch the bobcats. Lillard has been playing like a veteran starter. That harden trade came really early, and he played really well at first. Since his first wk tho he dropped of a little. I'm looking for him to pick it up. jr Smith is playing well. People are expecting him to drop off offensively but it seems he's committed to defense. The knicks in general have overall been the biggest surprise. I think everyone was expecting Miami dominating the East all season. I just wonder if amare will be a surprisingly good fit.
  10. lol you guys are funny. happy thanksgiving!
  11. made kings actually look good. smh. On the other hand, Kings actually wanted to play.
  12. Messy game. Obviously tired and in need of nash
  13. pretty frustrating to watch all those missed free throws.
  14. "Bledsoe is a mini-Lebron" smh, Mike Smith.
  15. Lol Kobe isn't going to get those last two rebounds
  16. Caught ot but why toney d over lin? Was confused seeing Douglas finish plays for houston
  17. ^ that was obviously a flagrant on at least one end. but they ruled it double tech for some reason.
  18. Asik can do better as he gets more comfortable defensively and as he figures out Lin's and Harden's pick and rolls better. I'd say, yeah he's one of the early candidates. Btw, he's always been a good rebounder with limited minutes, and if we're looking at good bench players who are getting bigger roles, maybe Harden gets a vote. I''d look at Varejao and Jrue Holiday, too. Even though I haven't seen them play this season, their numbers are looking impressive.
  19. The clippers have been playing high energy since the beginning. Itll take a lot for Miami to win. Btw, not sure where these clipper fans came from. Wtf
  20. Vangundy ranting pretty hard about the lakers front office lol
  21. Yea, they are. Right now they're with OKC and under Spurs. They'll go down though since their front court is pretty thin and because DJ tends to lose focus over the course of a season. Also, VDN keeps them at where Grizzlies are in that they can be dark horses but you wouldn't be surprised if they get knocked out in the second round. A slightly different version of what Nitro said, I guess.
  22. Lol you knew it was coming. pop is the best coach in the game. meanwhile, lakers had no coach, basically. Also, Kobe continues with MVP numbers. Unfortunately he tends to decline throughout the season in these late years our he gets done kind if injury. great game, nonetheless. It was fun to watch. I just wish it was a win.
  23. Every time Meeks puts the ball on the floor it's a turnover. don't do it man
  24. It'll be interesting how a "pick up" game against San Antonio will look like
