Black Holes, position by position
The Regime replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
Good observation, but the touches statistic isn't all that surprising in regards to Kobe. Pau Gasol is our second option on offense, and he averages the second most touches among PF's, but he passes the ball over half the time (51.1%). He's way too passive, and at times he doesn't look to score as much as we would want him to. Fisher and Artest can't do anything off the dribble, so it's pointless keeping the ball in their hands, and Bynum is a "black hole" so the ball doesn't find its way to him many a times. The fact of the matter is that the offense has to run though Kobe to be effective, and that's why he has the highest number of touches amongst SG's. Guys are either incapable of making something happen with the ball or are either too passive and reliant on Kobe. -
Not gonna happen against Kobe.
-
Damn Rhianna looked super fine.
-
This is Pau's kind of game, play absolutely no defense and get easy baskets around the rim.
-
That's one excuse, or he's just better than everyone else.
-
Kobe isn't here to mess around, he's getting it done on both ends of the floor.

I know. I was rolling my eyes to all the haters out there. -

But wait Kobe is a ballhog, he doesn't trust his teammates. -
Hoping for a tight game the whole way through. West wins on a Kobe buzzer beater. :glasses: I'll be happy if Rose or Kobe win ASG MVP.

Chances are that we'll see one of these trios within the next couple years. Which trio has a better chance at winning a championship?

Watched Paranormal Activity 2 last night (don't ask why), and I think it's safe to say that it was worse than the first one. I'll give it a generous 4/10. The storyline just seemed really repetitive and the movie was just way to slow overall.

Kobe Bryant is, "The Black Mamba"

Haha, that's so sick. I love how that commercial turned out. -
And OJ Otogwe, dude has a knack for making plays when the ball is in the air.

Not a big enough market. -

I still thought the judges were biased in favor of Blake Griffin. But I agree with idea of getting rid of the fan voting, this contest should be based on performance not popularity.
-
Agreed. I can understand Ibaka bringing out his countries flags, but bringing out the opera and having your mom kiss the judges, that's just stupid.
-
I love Blake Griffin, but his dunks weren't convincing. He certainly didn't live up to all the hype, and he came in with very little creativity and originality. Derozans dunks should have received a higher score than Griffins.
-
That's the thing, the dunk has been done before so it wasn't all that appealing the second time around. And he made look so routine lol.
-
Blake wins? I am surprised. But seriously it was pretty obvious that he was going to take the dunk contest before it even started. It would have been nice to see him do something creative though, outside of that first dunk there was nothing really that stood out.
-
I'm not that impressed. Overrated dunk.
-
I agree. Griffins first dunk was ridiculous, but that second dunk was nothing special. Derozan should have had a higher total. I would have much rather wanted a Derozan-Griffin finals.
-
McGee wins in the creativity department. It's a tough dunk, but nothing that really makes you jump out of your seat though.
-
Eh that dunk was nothing special. Derozans two dunks>Blakes two dunks imo
