WTF did they just stop the clock for Ibaka?
-
First round alone blows away last years dunk contest.
-
That dunk is virtually impossible, wtf is Javale thinking. Way to let UNR fans down. <_< Edit: I take that back. Dunk wasn't worth a 50 imo only because it took him so many attempts, but creative none the less. Thats like a second round dunk though lol.

That was a legit free throw line dunk.
-
Also Daniel Gibson shouldn't even be in this contest. I guess they just threw in a Cavs player out of desperation.

2011 Shooting Stars Contest

Taj Gibson is a damn joke, the man couldn't hit the backboard let alone the rim on all but one of his half court shots. -
What a disappointing performance from KD, I definitely overestimated his three point shooting ability. I guess there's a reason why he shoots the lowest % out of the group.

How many superstars are there in the league?
The Regime replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
Playoff wins certainly plays a role as to how you are perceived as a player. Robert Horry was never a star to begin with, he just made a name for himself by hitting timely shots. Superstars are recognized for their play in the regular season and the postseason, but they build their legacy in the playoffs. -
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=mc-afterthebuzzer021811 I didn't want to make a whole new thread out of this so I posted this here. Mitch already said that he has no intentions of trading anyone, but for some reason I don't buy that. Please get rid of Artest.

Probably third tier. Good offensive game, nothing special on defense, and almost no playoff experience. He isn't the type of player you can build your franchise around as proven in Toronto. -

Yeah I don't know what you are referring to.

How many superstars are there in the league?

By my criteria the current superstars in the league are-Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, and Carmelo Anthony. These guys don't only stuff the stat sheet, but they are able to single handedly dominate games offensively and/or defensively. They have that "killer instinct" and "it" factor, which gives them an edge over opposing players. In addition they all have postseason success and have carried their respective teams deep into the playoffs or have won one or more championships. Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, and Deron Williams and are all second tier stars and are right on the brink of becoming superstars. The reason why I don't have them in the same category as the other guys is because they either don't have the "takeover ability" (offensive or defense) or they have very little playoff experience/success. Third tier- Steve Nash, Blake Griffin, Amare Stoudemire, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett -
This event is a joke, I would much rather watch HORSE. Bieber fails at being funny, and it's pathetic that he won MVP. They need to get some high profile celebs in this event next year, maybe a couple athletic guys who can actually play basketball.
-
^He has a pretty jumpshot. Scottie for MVP, enough of this Bieber lovefest.
-
Nick Cannon has one of the ugliest jumpshots I have ever seen. He's doing the game of basketball an injustice.

I still can't believe Romeo played for USC, that dude is literally 4 feet tall lol.
