  1. ok, I've given this more thought and revised the proposal I made last night. I think I've come up with a more likable solution. forget the archive subforum - this is easier and more efficient. we keep the gameday forum, but empty it of all its content. we make thirty topics (one for each team) in the gameday forum. rather than making a new topic for each game, we just post an update in that team's topic. so basically, it works like this: 1. there's thirty topics in the gameday forum (each team gets their own topic) 2. anytime that team plays, their topic is updated with a new post 3. members are free to post in any team's topic at any time in doing this, we make our work shorter, simpler, and better. we don't have to make a new topic for each game. instead, we just make a post in the team's topic saying they play tonight. that way, each team's topic eventually amasses hundreds of posts worth of discussion for all different games. wouldn't you rather have 30 different topics with hundreds of posts each as opposed to thousands of different topics with just a few posts each? it makes sense and I think we'll like it if we give it a try. when each season ends, we can make a fresh topic for each team and all their game discussion for the year will go into that new topic. thoughts?
  2. if i'm not mistaken, an active playoff roster consists of twelve men. Chalmers - Wade - James - Bosh - Dampier Bibby - Jones - Miller - Haslem - Ilgauskas Anthony - Curry for Eddy Curry to make the cut, we'd have to take him over Howard, Magloire, and House. idk, that's pretty risky. I'd probably roll the dice and make it happen. Magloire's useless and we don't need House with all those good perimeter players. I think it's worth it, actually.
  3. lol whoa, not a morning person, Tyrone? I wasn't trying to offend you in any way. I was trying to kick some facts to the people.
  4. hey, Charlotte's one of my favorite teams. us MJ lovers gotta stick together. speaking of which, you should give me some feedback on my 'Letter to MJ' topic. http://www.otrbasketball.com/forums/topic/21756-a-letter-to-jordan/
  5. yeah, but that's to be expected when sixteen teams (over half the league) makes the cut. only eight teams make it in football and baseball. the NBA is a league of boys and men.
  6. I gotchu. that's pretty much how I became a Heat fan. I don't really like any of the NBA teams in California, so might as well look elsewhere lol.

  9. haha yeah man, the site's running extremely slow right now. don't worry, though, it's never like this - well, besides now lol.
  10. haha yeah. there's a lot of Laker fans here too, but they know the game. what puts this place atop HN imo is the quality discussion and maturity.
  11. that's coo. you're gonna like it here, man. I know you're doing your thing at HN too, but this is the place for quality discussion.
  12. what's good, C-Buc? it's Big Baby.
  13. just trying to put some spotlight on the young fellas, man.
  14. still, Starbucks won't be going out of business anytime soon. it'll be around for the rest of my life at least. with these fast paced lifestyles everyone lives now, there can be more than just one coffee chain making all the profit. sure, Dunkin Donuts might eventually compete with Starbucks or even outsell it, but it won't run it out of business. there's too many different coffee shops in America for one to basically just monopolize the industry. Starbucks and DD will run all the mom and pop shops out of business, if anything.
  15. it must not be as popular on the west coast. everyone here goes to Starbucks. they have a store at like every corner in Seattle lol, and there's probably like 50 of them in my city. there can be more than just one popular coffee chain in America. Starbucks isn't going anywhere.
  16. here's his line from when they played Miami a few nights ago: 39 points (50% shooting), 4 assists, 3 rebounds and tonight against Cleveland: 21 points (44% shooting), 10 assists, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks impressive indeed, young fella. some background information: he's 22 years old, he dunked on LeBron before being drafted, and he was involved in the Kirk Hinrich trade earlier this year. remember, Washington only traded a future second round pick for Hinrich and the 17th pick in last year's draft. so basically, they got Crawford and a top 20 pick for Hinrich. this kid's got skills. I've been watching some of his videos. I think him and Wall could make for a tremendous backcourt duo over the next several years. in a few years, Atlanta will deeply regret trading this kid and giving Joe Johnson that max contract. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sL3KDhhUZ0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XejLyk3kJZg
  17. you're saying Starbucks will go out of business soon? http://fast1.onesite.com/capcom-unity.com/user/albert_wesker_85/epic_fail.jpg?v=242000
  18. I'm not saying it's a fact that diet soda kills brain cells, but it's certainly a possibility. if they use chemicals to make these sodas, you at least have to think it's a possibility. I wouldn't be surprised if our own drinking water has harmful effects. "used to put minerals and zinc in it, now they say they put lead and stink in it" - Mos Def
  19. technically, it was my third justification. I posted two articles before the song. but yeah, Lupe speaks the truth. the articles I posted mention how they use chemicals in diet sodas in place of natural sugar, so I wouldn't be surprised if diet soda kills some brain cells. in fact, I'm looking it up now and they have a facebook page for it lol. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2202523693 more links: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=diet+soda+kills+brain+cells
  20. lmfao I've heard that's even worse than regular soda. http://slashfood.com/2007/07/25/diet-soda-no-better-for-you-than-regular/#ixzz1IKny5tfn http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Why_Diet_Pop_is_Bad "pills with a million side effects, take 'em when the pain's felt, wash 'em down with diet soda, killin off your brain cells" - Lupe Fiasco http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agc7WJz5fsQ
  21. there was a pissed off tone to this post you made. so I thought maybe it pissed you off.
