Cablevisions / Fox fail to reach agreement
EastCoastNiner replied to fish7718's topic in Other Sports Discussion
And, if you really want to watch the World Series, get off your [expletive] an buy an antenna. Cable companies have pretty much been stealing and reselling products of over the air stations like Fox for a long time just to build up a customer base. Now, they have to negotiate with the stations and they are getting what they deserve. Cable companies have been buying cheap and selling high forever, but since Fox owns the rights to the World Series it gets real interesting now. -

Then don't buy the [expletive]ing package if it's too expensive. Cablevision is being picky and not wanting to buy the entire package, so that's completely their fault. I have no doubt that if the Yankees were in the World Series that Cablevision would give in within seconds. -

Cablevision is the one claiming that Fox wants to charge double, but it's KNOWN that Cablevision doesn't want to buy the entire package. Suck it the [expletive] up and buy it or sit the [expletive] down. -

No, you don't use a third party in a major negotiation like this. This deal is worth tens of millions of dollars, and the arbitrator would side on the low side what the two are arguing about. Fox doesn't want what's "fair", they want what they deserve and want to get. -

No, Cablevision is looking for a discount for individual channels, and not a bunch of channels which Fox doesn't do. It makes perfect sense. They don't want to buy the entire package, so I don't know what your point is. -

Fox shouldn't be the ones looking bad. Dish Network and Cablevision are the ones that are losing customers and not really offering any credits for people who paid for select channel. It's absolutely absurd. -

What are you talking about? Cablevision and Dish Network are the ones looking like complete morons coming out of this. Their job is to provide to their customers, and they are failing to do so. They will cave in soon enough. -

I posted something about this earlier, but the thread got deleted. They are screwing fans in Dallas a lot more than any other part in this country. Watch this video. It's awesome. . http://stars.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=65217 -
Well, if you're talking about one game then an argument for a pitcher can be made, but if you're talking about overall record during a season than it's a QB by an absolute mile. Also, way to find two instances from the past ten years, Fish. It can happen, but the odds of winning without a good QB are slim to none unless you have a GREAT defense.

Well, it looks like besides the 49er's this season, I've been pretty much right about everything. -Dallas would finish 3rd in the NFC East, but are 4th right now. - New Orleans wouldn't be that good. - The Bengals will win five games, and no more than seven. Why did the 49er's have to suck? I still have hope............... .
-
There should have been a personal foul for contact to the head.
-
And, Tony Romo has a fractured left clavicle......... .
-
And, that's a FUMBLE!
-
I'm sure you love Asanta Samuel though.......... .

No Green Bay fan can say they don't get calls in their favor. They missed the clear PI on the play where Harvin caught it out of bounds.
-
Where the [expletive] was the PI?!??!?!? That was so obvious it's not even funny.
-
I think the "Onion" is dumb as well. It's not really funny, and most of the [expletive] is just stupid.
-
Clearly you two don't get the article. . The other posters in here understand. .
-
Offensive PI is rarely called, so no, it doesn't get called more times than not. It was the right call, but it's not often called. I didn't think he'd get called on it, but he did. Finish those fools off in the second half Vikings!
-
That was a tough call on Moss.
-
Rodgers hasn't looked sharp tonight. There seems to be a lot of miscommunication with his WR's, and he's making some poor decisions.
-
Are you serious? He didn't even hold him, and if he did it was barely a hold, and the ball was uncatchable. The announcers said the same thing.
-
Nice make-up call. .
-
RIGGGHHHTTT!!! It was really your special teams that blew this game. . It had nothing to do with the four early turnovers, a few stupid penalties, or the multiple drops. .
