  1. My first ranked game, and the [expletive]ot quits with 30 seconds left, and I get no win
  2. If Braylon Edwards plays to his ability, they are without a doubt a top five receiving core, and probably better than just #5. I hate the Jets, but they definitely have some damn good WR's.
  3. Two of those show how ridiculous this game can be at times. . I remember the Patriots one well. I had [expletive]ing Wilfork, Seymour, and probably Merriweather raping your HB. . Did you guys reserve a copy, or are you just going and hoping to pick it up?
  4. The two 1st round rookie O-linemen, Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati have already been named starters. They are going to beasssssstttttt this year. I'm more worried about Davis than Iupati, but I think it will work out.
  5. I guess I'll get it tonight just so I can smoke LKR's [expletive] again, just like I did to him last year.
  6. In today's NFL, an OLB pass-rusher is probably the most valuable position on defense, and DeMarcus Ware is the best in the league at that. There's been many discussions on the 49er's board about this, and there are a LOT of people who would rather have Ware than Willis because of how valuable pass-rushers are and how the game has changed from when MLB's were the cornerstone of the defense. Vernon Davis will be a 99 by the end of the season.
  7. I'm saying I won't right now, but I probably will end up getting it tonight. . Nothing ever really improves in the Madden series. It has the least improvements out of all of the major sports games which is a disappointment.
  8. I think almost everyone that's posted in this thread is short-selling them. I think their scoring averages will be about what they have been for their career.
  9. Sorry, but I've seen you say this like ten times. It's might as wel1\l. It's not "mine as well". .
  10. Well, it looks as though Alex Smith and Vernon Davis are connecting near perfectly so far in camp. They have been two players that I've barely heard anything negative about, and most of the catches are deep balls.....so I'm hoping it's the offense being nast and not the defense sucking. .
  11. I was most surprised about how husky McNabb really is. . I also love the comment about if this happened in the Washington Wizards locker-room. .
  12. Who's saying they were wrong? You're being too naive and defensive of Brett Farve to actually believe that he did tell teammates that he was going to retire, but changed his mind once the media storm ensued.
  13. You have a lot of learning to do. I don't need you to tell me that we're a "republic" and not a democracy because I know very well what we are, but this country instills democratic principals. There's these things called laws in case you haven't heard. There are votes for a REASON. Hence, why when more people vote for a candidate in a certain state, more electoral votes are awarded to the winner, but no, you're right, popularity never matters. . In 50 years, people are going to sit back and seriously wonder what the [expletive] is wrong with liberals. They think with their heart and not their brain. I hope Obama is enjoying all of the vacations he's been taking this year too. That guy is a moron.
  14. If you could read, I said I could care less if people wanted to marry. If there was a vote, I would vote FOR it. However, I am against having a SINGLE judge decide the outcome, AFTER the state put it to a vote and most people didn't support it.
  15. It''s not changing the subject. It seems that English is not your native language. Saying that people who generally want gay marriage are the same ones that push for affirmative action does make sense. They want equal rights for one group, but not equal rights for another. . Also, read the U.S. Constitution, and you'll realize your comparisons doesn't make too much sense, and going by the Constitution gay marriage is not allowed, and should only be over-turned if the people vote for it.
  16. Also, I saw this on another site, and it's so damn true. . "The thing that I find most interesting about this topic is that those who are first in line to defend marriage equality are also the same people who are first in line to push affirmative action, busing, XYZ scholarships, or any other race/gender program in government. If everyone should be treated equally then everyone should be treated equally. Just a observation." OWNED!
  17. I don't think the main problem is necessarily that gay marriage is going to be allowed, but the way it happened. First off, it's unconstitutional for the Supreme Court to make rulings like these and never should have had this power, but the system [expletive]ed it all up long ago. It just shows how stupid the liberals are. "Oh, let's put this proposition to a vote. Oh, damn, the people didn't want it, so lets force it through". That's downright pathetic.
  18. I wanted the Sox to sign him as an FA when his contract ended, but I'm somewhat glad they didn't.
  19. He'll pass for 3,500+ yards and 25+ TD's.
  20. More so than Coors Field. There's a reason Todd Helton's stats are not NEARLY as good outside of Coors field. If you want to compare the difference in Manny's, Papi's, or any other good Red Sox hitter's differential in stats from Fenway to opposing parks, I bet the difference is far less than players on the Rockies.
  21. Yes, he is a juicer. Good job picking one of the few players I don't like. . Also, what's the difference between steroids and hitting at Coors Field? . Now, THAT is a joke. .
  22. Damn, after looking at your list, I think he could be higher. . Romo, Rogers, Manning, Farve, and Brees I can see having the clear advantage, but I'm not sure about Matt Ryan and McNabb. Ryan didn't even do that well last year, and McNabb is on the Redskins. I really think that if the 49er's O-Line does its job, Alex Smith can flourish.
  23. Well, I had to re-do my deal with Prodigy. Player for player I may have lost, but I think I improved my team, and that's what matters. Reggie Wayne+Matt Ryan+Dez Bryant for Steve Smith(NYG)+Wes Welker+Alex Smith+Golden Tate+Darius Heyward-Bey. I think Welker is going to have a great season, and Smith and Wayne put up similar stats last year. I wasn't going to start Ryan, so I just traded him. Here's my line-up now: QB- Carson Palmer/Alex Smith HB- Frank Gore HB- Clinton Portis WR- Steve Smith(NYG) WR- Michael Crabtree WR- Wes Welker WR/HB/TE- Earl Bennett/Roy Williams/Darren McFadden/Kevin Smith........ TE- Dallas Clark K- Rob Bironas DEF- NE D- Patrick Willis
  24. Well, I just made a trade with Prodigy. Reggie Wayne+Matt Ryan+Earl Bennett for: Steve Smith(NYG)+Wes Welker+Alex Smith I think this definitely makes his team better, but in this type of league, I can't worry about how his team performs against other teams. I think it improves mine as well, especially if Wes Welker plays from week 1. Steve Smith had great stats last year, and hopefully they improve this season!
