He played extremely well with the Knicks last year so I really think he should be a regular in the rotation if signed. Considering the scarcity of good big men nowadays, I am surprised he is still available.

I normally don't consider ratings to be a fair reflection of the player in games as they are automatically generated based on a number of different categories. For example, Kyle Korver, who has a rating of 63 which is the second-lowest in the Bulls line-up (the full version has been released and if you want, I can post the link), is rated 63 because the rating is not based on only 3-point shooting but also the other things. As far as Dirk's ratings go though, I would say he should be at least a 85.

Billups, Rip, Melo, K-Mart and Nene would have been nice. J.R would most likely be in the deal but if not him/Afflalo can be shipped off for another big.

Sheed retired at the right time. He would have gotten over 50 technicals with this rule. This basically takes away any emotion the players have for the game. Quite sad really.

Bynum is a definite pick if he remains healthy but I am doubting that he will, so I am going to go with Blake Griffin. This kid is going to be an all-star within three seasons. (fearless prediction here)

Just some minor signings: Alexander signing Strawberry, Watkins Shakur Don't think any of them got a guaranteed deal. Good to see Alexander signed though. He didn't get picked 8th for no reason.

So the Hornets pretty much traded Cole Aldrich and Darius Songalia for Quincy Pondexter, Willie Green and Jason Smith.... Green's contract expires after this season though so at least they will get some cap relief.

That's a vote of confidence from the boardroom. Hopefully Gentry can mesh Hedo, amongst the other newcomers, into the system and the Suns can continue their run. They were a really fun team to watch last year.

As long as he recovers and is 100% healthy for the latter half of the season + playoffs, I am sure the Lakers' fans don't care much. They got Caracter, Gasol and Ratliff who can play at the C spot anyway.

I think that the Celtics, by signing Delonte and Shaq, sends a message to the other teams that they want to win, no matter what. They could have just used Jermaine and Big Baby at the C position until Perkins come back, but by signing Shaq, it shows that they are taking this season really seriously.

I believe he is a HOF. Dare I say, the HOF's requirement isn't that high and I believe his accomplishments, as listed above, already put him in consideration for the Hall of Fame.

Just read Fran Blinebury's column about AI here and he states that the China team has pulled out because AI's financial demands is too much.
