  1. He did establish himself in Detroit when they gave him the opportunity to do so...we all saw how bad he did in Chicago and Cleveland and staying in Detroit until retirement is a good decision as he isn't particular desperate for rings.
  2. He is presumed dead and believed to have been murdered by his older brother. I hope Lorenzen is found soon, never good to hear these news.
  3. Ridnour can start at PG so the T'Wolves are covered. I guess this also means Telfair will be kept for a little while longer.
  4. Travis Outlaw and Hakim Warrick. Pretty much any other fast/strong players as well.
  5. I hope this doesn't mean Iggy or Gay will be cut.
  6. With Tony Allen gone he should have a larger role with the Celtics.
  7. Hollins is a good back-up C and Sessions is a good fit for the Cavs. As for the Wolves... clearly a salary dump as West's contract isn't fully guaranteed. Telfair would be traded or waived as well.
  8. 1) Heat - LeBron.Wade.Bosh 2) Magic - Dwight + shooters = easy wins. 3) Bulls - The addition of Boozer, Korver and Brewer really helps. Now if they get T-Mac... 4) Celtics - Technically the 3rd best team in the East, but losing Perkins for a while will hurt and I believe the Bulls will get a better overall record as a result 5) Bucks - They were good last year with less talent. They are better this year. 6) Hawks - Pretty much the same core but I can see Teague struggling at PG in his minutes. 7) Knicks - Getting Amare and Felton should make them better. 8) Bobcats - I don't like their moves this offseason but they should be able to hold on to the 8th seed because of the veterans they have. 9) Wizards - The power of John Wall. 10) Nets - I like the moves they have done this offseason and they should get better, although that depends on whether Devin Harris breaks out of his slump. 11) 76ers - I personally think Elton Brand is done, so they are in trouble inside the post. Jrue Holiday for MIP consideration though. 12) Cavs - Who will be the leader of this team? Hickson should average a double-double though and Jamison/Mo should be good enough for 30 wins. 13) Pacers - I see their rookies struggling and the PG problem need to be solved. 14) Pistons - Monroe is solid, but they need to trade Rip and Prince away to start all over again. Stuckey is also not starting PG material IMO. 15) Raptors - I will only be watching this team to see dunks from DeMar and Sonny Weems.
  9. Collison might be great on the playing court, but Paul is now considered an icon of New Orleans basketball. Trading him would lose the Hornets a lot of fans and they don't really want that. Also, Paul is still better than Collison no matter what so unless they can get a star back they won't trade CP3.
  10. I am definitely going to try out the demo after watching that video.
  11. I think we can definitely be considered to be in the top 4 of the East. It depends really on how well the newcomers blend in and whether we get T-Mac or not as don't forget, he was a legit all-star a few years back.
  12. Does this topic really have much to do with the match-up between Lakers and Thunder last year? Anyway, besides the Lakers being a lock at the top of the West, 2nd to 8th is still rather foggy at the moment and the Thunder is certainly one of the teams that can compete for 2nd place in the West.
  13. Most of the guys he drafted is still in the NBA. His recent picks (Brook Lopez, Ryan Anderson, CDR, T-Will) are all pretty good as well. As for this year's pick, Favors will probably take 2-3 years before he show 80% of his potential but Damion James will be able to contribute straight away, providing he get minutes.
  14. I thought Rashad McCants was going to be something special. Ditto for James White. I also thought Austin Daye was going to star in the Pistons (although the jury is still out on him) I don't think I have missed out on any stars with the exception of Rondo, although I believed that he would be a decent 5th man in a team.
  15. Unless 1118 is equal to something special, I like Nitro better. I am just personally not a big fan of numbers after a word.
  16. Yes because his style of play is really a perfect match to the Suns. Also, I do not believe that there is anyone that can take his spot in the Suns' roster currently. When his contract expires and if he is willing to sign for a contract at around 8m, I would say the Suns should do so.
  17. Hawks- Al Horford - solid player, but mainly chosen because I don't really like anyone else from the Hawks. Celtics- Ray Allen - His 3-point shooting touch is just amazing. Bobcats- Gerald Wallace - throws everything on the line in every possession. Bulls- Derrick Rose - Leader of my favourite team. Cavaliers- Jamario Moon Mavericks- Caron Butler Nuggets- Carmelo Anthony Pistons- Rip Hamilton Warriors- Stephen Curry Rockets- Yao Pacers- Danny Granger Clippers- Baron Davis Lakers- Kobe Grizzlies- Sam Young Heat- D Wade Bucks- Brandon Jennings Timberwolves- Wes Johnson Nets- Damion James Hornets- Chris Paul Knicks- Kelenna Azubuike Thunder- Kevin Durant (Jeff Green comes a close second with James Harden just behind Green) Magic- Mikael Pietrus 76ers- Evan Turner Suns- Jared Dudley Blazers- Brandon Roy Kings- Carl Landry Spurs- George Hill Raptors- DeMar DeRozan Jazz- Ronnie Price Wizards- John Wall
  18. Celtics did make it to the NBA Finals and did force a game 7 against the Lakers. Now, with the same core pretty much, who say they can't make it far in the playoffs? You can say the Heat are better than them, granted. Who else out in the East can say they are better than the Celtics right now for sure?
  19. Like I said in another thread, I believe he is the last piece to our puzzle. We got what, like 4m left before reaching luxury tax? I would be delighted to get a player like him (providing he's healthy) for that money.
  20. He is not going to join the Heat anytime soon unless he is out of his mind.
  21. I can see why he is interested in joining Boston, but I don't see why Boston would be interested in him.
  22. ^ He can get rings when he is like 36 or 37 years old. Currently when he is at the top of his game, he should be trying to get as much money as possible.
