  1. I see the C's want a Trevor Ariza by thinking Moon's that. But while he could be, Davis was great for them last year. Both offensively and defensively. Talent wise, Davis is the better player he's also much younger. But Moon might not be a bad fit, and Davis might not see much playing time with Sheed on the team.
  2. http://www.denverstiffs.com/ One of the best blogs I've visited... one of the best posts from the owner... you probably wouldn't care unless you're a Nugget fan
  3. ^Are you on PS3 too? What's "sliders"? Considering I regularly got whooped by at least 20 pts by halftime, I once led by 5 pts in third quarter... even the half-asleep me couldn't believe it (2-3 AMish at the time)... it got so close... until they "decided" to play, trailed by 3 pts in the end of the 3rd, and lost by 9. That's closest to winning, I couldn't fall asleep and kept playing til 6 AM
  4. My habit after buying every NBA game is to set it to most difficult level and try to beat the best team. It's common for me to get beat in a blowout like 20-40 straight games before winning one... and then dominating the rest... But this 2K9 is a bit different... lol Hall of Fame difficulty and what do my Nuggets see? Luke Walton is Dirk Nowitzki, Farmar is Iverson in his prime, Bynum is invincible and makes the word domination an understatement, Fisher regularly shoots threes through my defenders' outstretched arms. I think I've been beaten 40 straight times already now, about 35 in blowout tried everything nothing works... X( J.R. Smith can score easily I had like 56 and 48 in two games (7 minute quarter), yet Melo can hardly score very hard to control, Billups would get his shot blocked every time he pulls up, in other words, I'd be lucky to get another Nugget in double figures. Man this 2K is really something... I might never figure this one out... and yet I am still playing
  5. ^Not even me says he's a star lol I'm just saying he's a very good player to have for DJ's replacement.
  6. I also like James Johnson... everything he does looks effortless. You hear this first, he is a Paul Pierce clone. Too big in college to play SF (also because Aminu was there) but he seems as if he's been freed.
  7. ^I tend to agree with you as he shored up their perimeter defense... however if Sheed is motivated they can be very good... which at this stage I'm still skeptical about.
  8. Exactly... didn't you guys sign Brandon Bass too? I don't see why Magic would spend money on Gortat and then on Bass too... knowing both players wouldn't be happy with the minutes. I think Shard is effective at the 4 and Van Gundy plans to keep it that way, he might be too slow to play 3 now... and his matchup problems allow him to thrive... Shard's happy, SVG is happy, I don't think he's sliding to 3 to make room for either Bass or Gortat to start at 4. I think they could deal Bass or Gortat somewhere else for future picks than lose him for nothing?
  9. Lots of players but I didn't know Jennings had the desire to distribute the ball... I thought he's just all AI, just score. If he can continue to pass as well as he has shown, he can be one of top rookies. Bucks should be happy with his play. Haven't really watched but some stats, Randolph and Westbrook are on a different level... Don't forget Ryan Anderson, that's a steal by Magic, Van Gundy should be thrilled, when Shard goes to the bench he has a Shard Lite.
  10. I was just being sarcastic obviously... but because 2 for 23 was horrific... lol but it's just one game though. Aside of bad shooting and more turnovers than assist, Lawson has been great everything else, speed, going to the free throw line... He should be better in second game.
  11. We kicked off very good with our two guaranteed Nugget players (Weems and Lawson) shot a combined 2-for-23 from the field I didn't watch the game, but they said Weems is a ball hog and never passes, on the contrary Lawson although went 0-8 showed why he was a highly touted PG in the draft with his speed (8-8 FT) and ability to run a team. Coby Karl was the best Nugget today with 19 pts... lots of people said he belongs in the L, and can help a lot of teams... we'll see. No wonder George Karl was there. But I hope he doesn't make the team... geeezz... if he can play Anthony Carter 15 mpg, imagine how he will play his son... maybe even starting. Tomorrow: Wizards
  12. Crittenton has the goods... I'm not sure why he never turns into a good player he has talent... Jeff Teague reminds me of him, but I think Teague is better at finishing.
  13. I was a Live fan before but switched to 2K because Live significantly dropped I will buy whatever ign has better score
  14. He will make the team, but will he be in rotation? That's the question... I like he's very athletic and long.
  15. Now we must get Ben Wallace... I liked what he did in Orlando series although he wasn't playing much. He still can defend in the post better than most big guys in the L.
  16. The more I hear about him... the more I like him... He's a guy that comes in without baggage... the ultimate pro... the guy that you won't worry about fitting in. He's going to get his job done... and his teammates will love him. Okay enough of this man crush... lol it's important he stays healthy...
  17. ^Hahah you know I'm never into crap stats like that myself so if it's misleading maybe it's misleading. All I know is watch and judge myself if he's good or not... and from the highlights I've seen he is pretty good... definitely not Steve Nash bad. He's solid. He is not shy with contact, he can play physical, maybe not as mobile as DJ (who is better athletically) but Afflalo might be a smarter defensive player. I'm comparing him to DJ because he is essentially his replacement. But it's nice to hear from a Laker fan's perspective we need to guard this lizard... http://i39.tinypic.com/168xxkn.jpg And were you not the one who once gushed about Afflalo? You said something like "he smelled the blood and he'd go for the kill" and wanted the Lakers to draft him?
  18. Although we sold the 34th pick to Houston for an NBA record $2.5 mil (essentially used to pay Ty Lawson's first year salary + luxury tax), we should have used it to draft Blair... and basically our off-season is done... :( DAMN!!! Now Blair only makes Spurs stronger, he will the legitimate Tim Duncan backup for 1-2 years... before he shines as a starter.
  19. A nice little video of Aff: Very nice, I like he can shoot under pressure.
  20. Holy cow, Jazz sure are excited now about possibly getting #1 pick (John Wall)... well I didn't know about this so it wouldn't make sense for Knicks to tank now.
  21. Nooooo... I was thinking we would have played playoffs...
  22. This is a GREAT trade for us, someone on RealGM posted Afflalo's defense: So this makes him one of the best defensive players in the L actually... and he can shoot (40% 3PT) something that DJ has to still improve. I think DJ is more explosive when driving to the rim and "more unguardable" but Afflalo is not a stiff. He also plays better defense. He's not only a replacement but immediate improvement. I love this trade, he's also a no non-sense guy will bring up maturity of the team... Afflalo and Lawson for almost nothing, Still $2 million left on MLE, still $8+ mil left on TPE, not to mention possible trades, loving the work of FO. :)
  23. ^So if you're on 360 I'm on PS3 we can't play each other ?
  24. Is that the PSN username? Are you guys on PS3? Is this playoffs? If yes, I'm tonberrysknife
