I called my friend who's a Heat 'fan' a bandwagoner, and he said he wasn't because he liked Miami since '06.
-
His soft touch is probably too soft, and he has no handle. I'd say he's rated right. Thad's teammate Marreese Speights is much better suited for this thread. He gets criticized so much for what he doesn't do, but he can score in every way. Like Stoudemire with less athleticism and more finesse.

Because overpaying Outlaw is less costly than overpaying Amar'e or Boozer.

(Appropriate) Instincts are shaped by your IQ. So that.

Will you hate the Heat if they get LeBron?

I know there's a desire to win and all that, but just how gratifying will it be on a team like this? -
I thought Luis Scola was Argentinian.

You strive for excellence, but comparing every record to classics is just not a fair method of evaluation. While you still want to emulate the quality of those benchmark albums, if you're holding everything up to that standard, then everything you listen to will be trash. Still a vague answer. You''re just referencing records.. What about Illmatic makes it good? Are you saying all hip hop should be modeled after Illmatic? How do you determine whether a track is good or nott? What about the rhyme schemes, instrumentals, etc.? What constitutes good rap? This is what he said about Relapse: Is that not a believable description on why he liked Relapse and thought it was good? You don't seem to be able to grasp the fact that people interpret things differently. That the analysis and interpretation of music is very arbitrary and subjective. You look at music as a static concept with a rigid perspective; i.e.: "Oh that album was bad because it didn't meet my qualifications and it is absolutely impossible that I am wrong about this; therefore, if you think different then you are wrong and you know nothing about hip hop." While I agree with you that Relapse was not good, I'm still willing to respect other opinions, especially if they're ingenuous and insightful like the article.

I want his contract gone; it has nothing to do with Turner.

Which division is up for grabs?

Pending free agency, it's the Northwest easily for me. Even if New York and New Jersey hog all the free agents, all but one team in the Northwest has a realistic chance. And BFT: good post, but yes you can rule Philly out. -
What if you're a Sixers fan and you already hate life?
-
I don't rule out the possibility of it happening, but I won't be a very happy camper if Thad is dealt for cap space. We're already out of the luxury tax.
-
The only way Cleveland can acquire Bosh is through a sign-and-trade. Seeing as it's a hypothetical situation, I'd just assume they could get it done.
-
You sunk my battleship. But the thing is, even without Bosh, what other options do they have at center (assuming they don't retain Shaq)?
-
It's hard to find an exact criteria because there is no one exact, definitive criteria. None. Music is far too broad for that. Are you suggesting that all albums should be held up to the standard of the classics? Do you realize how unrealistic that is? It's very untrue because, back to my original point, personal taste is all relative. Again, what constitutes good music? He "loves" an album you disapprove of, therefore he's a moron and knows nothing. OK.
-
Yes, but it would also lend Cleveland more flexibility with their lineups, allow them to move LeBron around, and give them more incentive to small ball, which is exactly the kind of offensive injection the team lacked this postseason. Varejao (who is hardly undersized at 6'11") can play both big spots and he will get his minutes.
-
lmao, remember the chat on UStream?
-
This is exactly my problem with your rationale (other than it coming off as pretentious). What classifies 'good' music? If all music is supposed to be reviewed void of personal opinion and taste, then how are you supposed to evaluate it? Is there a definitive criteria, or are we supposed to follow your thought process? And if personal opinion and taste is disallowed, and there's a standard for music to be judged on, does that mean every review should be the same? I completely agree that objectivity is paramount in reviews. But how can you preach impartiality when you, as the reader, are not paying the writer the same respect when you're immediately dismissing him off as a fanboy because he liked music you didn't approve of? And is that nitpick of a misfact in an entire article supposed to validate something?

Possible crunch time lineup, but I understand your point, and no. Bosh is much better than Jamison.

Kobe Bryant wants to finish his career in Italy

This just in: ESPN is reporting that Kobe to Italy in 2011 is a done deal. -
I would go create a legacy with LeBron in Cleveland.
-
Wade is your favorite player?! How did T-Mac take the news?
-
Dude, it is music — personal taste is relative. Why don't you debate the actual content instead of casting off the writer as a fanboy and dismissing his credibility because he liked an album that "even some of your friends (the definitive arbiters of music) didn't like"?
-
Yes, because liking music that you personally don't approve of diminishes credibility. But of course you're trolling right?

Isn't landing a top free agent supposed to be what lures him back though? Thanks for your candor.
