  1. Best situation in a decade? Sure just because of there being a chance for the best player in the game at all. That's not saying much though as the Knicks have probably been the most pathetic sports team in all 4 major sports of the 00s decade. Who said your getting both of them LOL. Knicks will most likely get one and resign Lee thus cementing themselves as an offense only team that is a joke. Basketball players laughing about practicing defense? LOL only the Knicks. Good luck getting any serious basketball player that actually wants to create a legacy and win titles because that isn't happening.
  2. -Draft AVERY BRADLEY -S + T Beasley and Cook for Bosh -resign Haslem, Q, Anthony -sign Shaq, Raja Bell C- Shaq F- Bosh F- Q G- Wade G- Chalmers with Haslem, Joel Anthony, Avery,Raja Bell off the bench. That is a top team in the East, not sure how realistic it is or what. I really like Avery Bradley. Guy is a DEFENSIVE STUD combo guard at 6'2 and is really quick. His defense is just amazing.
  3. Gotta bring this guy back, plays hard every second he's on the floor. If the Heat sign two max free agents this guy could end up being the Heats starting center and not really being that much of a liability in all honesty
  4. Kobe wasn't even the best player on his own team that year. Has LeBron ever had that priveledge in all his years in the NBA? Not everyone is lucky enough to be drafted by a team that has one of the top ten players of all-time in their prime. That performance is so overblown too. Shaq had 36 points and 21 rebounds at the time of fouling out with a little over 2 minutes left and LA had the lead at the time. He didn't lead them to a comeback or anything. How about Kobe shooting 8/27 in Game 6, but LA still wins anyway since Shaq scores 41 points anyway en route to a championship. I don't think anyone cared then. This years Celtics are virtually the same team. Garnett is looking as good as he did in 08. Just Pierce is the one that has declined. Have you actually watched the Celtics defense in their first two rounds playing the two best players in the game back to back? The defense is still just as awesome.
  5. Your right. That reason is LeBron James. Did you watch the playoff series and see born loser Antawn Jamison get outrebounded, exposed on defense, and take [expletive]ty threes missing nearly 75% of them(all of them being open). Mo Williams never shows up for the playoffs. Shaq is trying hard out there, but he is old now. Mike Brown needs to keep Varejao on the floor, play Hickson and Moon more, and sit Jamison the [expletive] down. LBJ means everything to that team and when he is not playing his game there is no way they can win.
  6. What relevance does this have to the discussion? You mad your team blows you got to take shots at anothers fav team? And your wrong anyway. Your not getting LeBron or Wade. Enjoy not having any draft picks and sucking balls with Joe Johnson.
  7. Let's look at Kobe Bryant in the 2004 NBA Finals and how he fared once the series went back to Detroit Game 3: 11 points, 4-13, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 turnovers lost by 20 Game 4: 20 points, 8-25, 0 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, lost by only 8 due to a Shaquille O'Neal 36-20 performance Game 5: 24 points, 7-21, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 turnovers, lost by 13 Now if LeBRon had a stretch of games similar to this in the playoffs lord knows what you guys would be saying. For some reason though Kobe gets a pass, let's fast forward to 2006 now with Kobes Lakers uup 3-1 against the Phoenix Suns. The scenario is Game 7. Kobe scores 24 points on 50% shooting, but stops playing in the 2nd half instead of going for a possible part two to his 50 point game in the loss before. Kobes Lakers lose by over 30 points, as Kobe throws his team under the bus and asserts himself as the biggest jerk off in the game. Now Kobe is back in the 2008 Finals. It's game 4 and LA is up by 25 points in hopes of tieing up the series. Does LA Bring in the closer Kobe? Nope, Kobe takes it in the [expletive] scoring 17 points on 6-19 shooting and Boston rallies back to win taking a commanding 3-1 win on the series. Does Boston win the title if Kobe unleashes his "killer instinct"? Maybe, but who knows. Now one of my personal favorites. Game 6 in Boston as they win by 40 points as they celebrate the championship. Kobe shoots 30% from the field. Funny how Kobe gets passes for [expletive]ty playoff series with everything on the line, but LeBron doesnt.
  8. Why? Because LeBron had shot 8-21 and had 27-19-10 in the deciding game? Kobe isn't even better than Wade let alone LeBron. Lol @ using playoff success as the deciding factor especially when Kobes team has Gasol, Bynum, Artest, and Odom on it.
  9. Yeah too bad we can't just cut Gasol off the team to test this theory. I wouldn't mind seeing LA get raped in the first round on a yearly basis like they were before they acquired him. How about some names of guys better than Gasol?(Bigmen; the definites are Howard and Dirk, I'll throw Duncan in there too)
  10. Awesome idea, I don't see Wade leaving at all. He really feels appreciated by it and the Miami FO has convinced him it has a plan for this offseason IMO.
  11. New York is the biggest media market in the world so of course their going to hype up the biggest star in the league going there. LeBron is friends with Jay-Z and likes the Yankees. In reality that team is such a [expletive]ing mess, there is no way LeBron goes there. Why would LeBron leave Cleveland because they struggled in the playoffs for a team that is even worse? Lol NY is [expletive]ed. I hope Houston enjoys the top draft picks for years to come and if not late lottery picks as NY builds a team around Joe Johnson and Boozer LOL. Agreed with you. He will go to Chicago, or Miami if he decides to leave at all.
  12. 23 PPG, 15 RPG, and 3 BPG on 60% shooting against the Jazz frontline in the Semifinals. What other bigmen do you have ranked above Gasol? He is solid defensively too as he's so long, and is a VERY smart player.
  13. If they play the way they did vs Cleveland I think they won't have problems for Orlando. They've traditionally matched up well with Orlando. Boston took them to Game 7 last year, and that was without KG. Should be an interesting series
  14. Lol it's just jealousy that LeBron has surpassed Kobe this year. And look at the supporting casts if you want to bring up how the playoffs are going. Theres your answer. When LeBron is hurt and not able to go 100% there isn't a reliable second option to take the pressure off of him. Mo Williams and Jamison are losing players and Father Time has caught up with Shaq. When Kobe is hurt, he has Pau Gasol who is a top 4 bigman in the NBA currently along with Howard, Duncan, and Dirk.
  15. "Laker fans" want Boston because everyone wants the lower seed to win as they think they'll have an easier time winning. Cleveland would have homecourt and they made the Lakers look like idiots when they played in the season this year in both meetings. In reality they were scared of a possibly matchup with the Cavs. It's a shame LeBrons elbow acted up. Too bad he doesn't have a Pau Gasol to take the pressure off of him.
  16. The Cavs will win this game. LeBron, Shaq will come out pissed and unleash their physical superiority on the Celtics. LeBron's elbow? No problem, LeBron will simply take it the hole with as much ferocity as he ever has. Expect 15+ Free throw attempts by the King. Boston is going to choke.
  17. The best are Van Gundy and Tom Thibodeau. Marc Jackson is a joke. The guy thinks he's too good to be an assistant coach in this league and work his way up just like every other head coach has. Plus he appears to be an idiot on the broadcasts offering nothing, but humorous comments such as "MAMA THERE GOES THAT MAN". Van Gundy said he wasn't interested, and I know Thibodeau has been on a lot of teams radars. The fact that he's still in Boston though makes me think he isn't that interested in becoming a headcoach or he is overrated. I like Bill Laimbeer too, out of the names that have been mentioned. He'll teach this team how to grow a sack.
  18. It just shows how much Trevor has studied that game and learned from the mistakes. 5-19 shooting, 18 points. The numbers speak for themselves.
  19. Not just about the steals. Kobe looked absolutely pathetic against the incredible defense of Trevor Ariza. Just look at his shooting percentage and point total? He was shut down. The Mamba. Shut down.
  20. I think Trevor Ariza should be considered for DPOY. Did anyone see him rip Kobe not once, but 3 times tonight? Kobe shot something like 5-20 in the game and it led to a big win for Houston. I am going to give a shoutout to Chuck Hayes on Houston too. He is a very good defender that won't get noticed.
  21. I know this question isn't directed to me, but I would just like to say that I liked that.
  22. I think Wilts 48.5 MPG in his second year is up there too. Not only did he play every minute of every game, but also every OT minute as well. Noone will ever touch that either. Of those listed I am going to go with the 55 rebounds in one game by Wilt.
  23. Do you think Artest is better than Ariza though?
  24. Ariza was absolutely shutting Kobe down on D. Do Laker fans still think Artest > him at this point in their careers?
  25. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH I hope you are having fun at the game Kairu Nice airball by Kobe. The funniest part about Kobe sucking in this game is that Battier was been in foul trouble the entire game. 5-19 shooting and 4 turnovers. The Houston defense has absolutely owned Kobe.
