Also... http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/IMG_20110405_215906.jpg Most packed "sellout" ever! Similarly, I want the names and addresses of every idiot who booed Hamels tonight so I can personally string them up by the balls.
-
Damn, I really thought we were gonna go 162-0 .
-
Chris Young looked legitimately good tonight. Well, harder to tell in person than it was on TV probably. But he was good.
-
Yay, Philadelphia sports go 0-3 tonight. And Cleveland goes 2-0. Go figure.
-
Leighton on re-entry waivers. Risky. I'd be pleasantly surprised if he is not claimed.
-
Elton Brand has been playing for a month with a broken hand. What a beast.
-
Lou is out for the rest of the regular season. Not good. Antonio Daniels signed, should see significant minutes.
-
Not exactly breaking news, but the Giants outfield right now is hilariously bad.
-
Fishy come down south for one of the Phillies-Mets games this week. I'll be there Tuesday night.
-
Can't wait to see you start up a Texas Rangers thread in a week or so.
-
Well, the (potentially) good news is that the Flyers sucked balls at the end of last regular season too. Although, I had work today and missed this one. Heard they played well.
-
The reaction Cliff Lee got last night as he walked in from the bullpen last night was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in person.
-
And unfortunately, this is why the league is struggling in so many markets. Impossible to legitimately contend without an elite team.

Aye

No. I do seem to remember AIMing you about how awful he's been, though.
-
Amazing that all the Nationals need to do is replace one of the all time worst fielders (Dunn) with a pretty solid one (LaRoche) and they suddenly go from a terrible defensive team to a top fielding team (I agree btw). Adding Werth doesn't hurt either.
-
I'd love to.

I am in a hurry and can't read all of these posts right now, but Crawford is the most overrated player in baseball. Not saying he is bad, but he is the highest paid outfielder in Major League history with a .780 career OPS. I think that is like, 40th among active outfielders. I realize he impacts the game with his speed and athleticism also, that's cool. But the bottom line is he is a corner outfielder with a career .780 OPS, yet he's regarded as an elite player. Apologies if these points were made already, as I said I am in a hurry.

They were so sick last year. Won their championship. A bunch of those guys are going to be Reading (AA) within a year or so. Can't wait to see them.
-
Well yeah. But for teams like the Sixers, that's all that really matters.
-
Only of the four major leagues where you have absolutely no shot as an underdog in the playoffs.
-
Yep. The unfortunate part about the NBA. Still a hell of a season with a huge amount of progress, regardless of postseason result.
-
This team has 1st/2nd round exit written all over it. Please prove me wrong Flyers. Chances to officially eliminate two inferior teams this past week and ice the conference top seed and failed miserably. Oh, and Kris Versteeg has been absolutely awful ever since the trade. Can we get that first rounder back?
-
Back in the playoffs!

Josh Johnson just had a no-hitter broken up in the 7th...
