  1. Very true. But I don't think it's something that Sim Leagues, Re-Drafts, contests, and things of the similar couldn't fix.
  2. I'm excited about both of these picks. I think Thornton could very well become the starting SG early in the season so that Butler can move back to the bench where he is more productive. He can score it, and what he lacks in height, he makes up with muscle. I'm also excited to see what Collison could become learning from the best point guard in the game today. Collison comes into basically a no-pressure situation and gets to learn/practice/play against as good competition as it gets one on one. Great draft by the Hornets, I didn't think we had it in us.
  3. Personally, I think it's an outstanding idea that could take OTR to new heights. I know RD had experimented with creating a network among boards a few months ago, but with a different set-up. A website with team blogs run by the intelligent users of TBE and OTR would be extremely powerful. Just think how many hits that could give OTR considering a good portion of that kind of site would be original content and not just a RSS Feed from magazines like RealGM.
  4. "Another Brick In The Wall" is one of my all-time favorites from any artist. I like to sing the chorus when I'm playing basketball and someone puts up a brick. haha.
  5. I dunno. I really like T.I.'s serious stuff that he comes out with once in a blue moon. Few can compare with that, IMO. NaS is on and off to me. I dig a lot of his songs, but then again, a lot of them give me a "meh" feeling.
  6. I work at the local library. Been workin' there for about 8 months now. $7.40ish an hour. 20 hours a week.
  7. Just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  8. Very sad news. RIP MJ. It's just amazing how many of today's top artists have come out and made tribute songs and recognized MJ as one of their idols and such. Truly a legend.
  9. Christian. I go to a non-denominational church though so it doesn't really fit in anything like Catholic or Protestant or anything like that. If it was close to any of those 'branches' or whatever they call it, it'd be Baptist.
  10. I've traveled a decent bit. I've stopped and either watched baseball games, went to historic places, or something of that sort in these states: New York Boston Pennsylvania Georgia North Carolina Virginia Tennessee Mississippi Alabama Arkansas Missouri Texas Florida Cozumel Island or something like that somewhere off of Mexico on a cruise. I live in Louisiana. I have basically never traveled west outside of Texas.
  11. Name: Justin Year You Became A Hornets Fan: whatever year they moved to New Orleans Favorite Hornets Moment: CP3 game winning three as time expired over Indiana. I was sitting about 5 rows behind the bench. Went crazy. Favorite Current Hornets Player: Chris Paul Favorite All-Time Hornets Player: Jamal Mashburn Number Of Hornets Players You Have Met: 0 Number Of Hornets Games You Have Been To: 5 Anything Else: Give JuJu some playing time!
  12. I don't think Rubio will be traded to New York simply because I don't think the Knicks can put together an enticing package. Nate Robinson is too similar to Jonny Flynn to make much a difference in Minnesota. David Lee would just create a log-jam at the four and him getting minutes might slow the rapid development of Jefferson and Love as very good players in the league, plus Love may very well develop into a very similar player as Lee as far as production goes in the next year or two. Hill would also create a log-jam at the four. The other option would be a deal centered around Wilson Chandler, and that's just not going to cut it for the 'next Steve Nash'. New York's best pieces play the same position as the Wolves' main strength.
  13. How's it going everyone? Glad to be back at OTR. I'm from Louisiana and my favorite teams are the Hornets and LSU. I also root for Chicago, Minnesota, and Oklahoma City as secondary teams because I like young teams. My favorite players include Chris Paul, Tyrus Thomas, Danny Granger, James Harden, Ricky Rubio, Al Jefferson, Earl Clark, Kobe Bryant, and OJ Mayo. Look forward to seeing you guys around.
  14. As a Hornets fan, I am absolutely thrilled with our draft. Thornton will provide scoring off of the bench at the very least and could possibly become the starter at the 2 so Butler can return to the bench where he's at his best. Collison was a great pick, too, especially considering he'll be able to learn from the best point guard in the game. I was wanting Sam Young at the time, but thinking back on it, picking Young may have cut into JuJu's minutes and development. We could have used a big, but there just wasn't any legit options at where we picked besides Blair unless we reached for Pendergraph, which I probably wouldn't have minded.
  15. Glad to be back though I wasn't a terribly active member to begin with. OTR was and will once again be a powerhouse board especially with RD running the show. I've been around so many boards over the last 5 or 6 years, been an admin on a few, an active member on several, but I'll tell you straight up, there's not one single person that I've seen more dedicated to what he does than Brandon. OTR will prevail.
