I meant that that's how much the Jays would want if they were to trade within the division according to rumors. I don't see any reason for Cashman to go with that, though.

All though we felt his absence, I think it gave Coke a bigger role and he improved significantly. Now we'll have two left specialists available.

Phil Hughes, Joba, Austin Jackson, and possibly more.

I would need to take a good look at all the names before choosing a side, but don't forget Carlos Delgado.

Make it 12-0-1 in the last 13 seasons. It was cool to see Obama up in the booth with Buck and McCarver for a half inning. I hope Jeter's wrist is fine. Good to see him score 2 runs. Pujols fielding was great. He saved the NL from a run or two after his error that allowed a run in the first inning. And Mo sets a record 4 All-Star game saves. He pitched his eighth inning All-Star baseball.

The first two pitches gave a scare. The first batter (I don't remember who it was) was robbed of a HR. The second hit it to the track.

Shelley Duncan was runner-up in Triple-A Derby yesterday.

Bandwagon fans can turn into true fans for any team. -
Yankees @ Twins and Angels (7/7-7/12)
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in Baseball Gameday Discussion
So now we have two things to overcome, our struggles against the Red Sox and our struggles against the Angels in Anaheim. -
Carlos Pena (TB) Brandon Inge (Det) Nelson Cruz (Tex) Joe Mauer (Min) Albert Pujols (StL) Adrian Gonzalez (SD) Prince Fielder (Mil) Ryan Howard (Phi)

We have a tough schedule after the break. Obviously we played poorly to cap off the first half, but hopefully we can get some rest and get it back together.

No way we give up Joba AND Phil + a minor leaguer.

Yankees @ Twins and Angels (7/7-7/12)
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in Baseball Gameday Discussion
We're paying Tex and A-Rod to deliver in situations such as bases loaded no one out and they don't do it. You'd never guess that the Angels had injuries. We got swept in L.A. last year also. Shame. -
Yankees @ Twins and Angels (7/7-7/12)

CC has the job of stopping a sweep, just like he did in Boston. He almost did the job in Boston with 8 innings pitched and 3 runs surrendered, but it turned into a ND. Congrats to A-Rod on passing Palmeiro for 10th all-time with 569 career homeruns. We had five HR's yesterday, but it's a shame that 4 were only solo. Is this the Hinske we'll be seeing consistently or is this just a hot start? -
Yanks want Chamberlain more aggressive in strike zone
Teletopez replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Baseball Forum
He's been getting into a lot of 3-2 counts, and sometimes he totally loses control of the K-zone. I don't think he'll be a starter for the whole year, he'll likely reach his pitch count limit and go back to the bullpen with some of the season left. -
New York Yankees Or New York Mets Fans
Teletopez replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Other Sports Discussion
A lot of the generalizations that are made about both teams' fans are incorrect, but there are some true ones. Yankee fans do have expectations, and usually aren't too patient. -
Is it possible to have the subforums listed under the main forum on the board index page?

Yankees @ Twins and Angels (7/7-7/12)
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in Baseball Gameday Discussion
... And just when I thought I was over yesterday's loss. And there's already been enough damage done. Will our pitching at least keep the score as it is instead of making it harder for our offense to get back in the game? -
Link Yep.

Old Timers' Day is next Sunday. It seems like all the Yankee hitters that were slumping have started to hit better: Cano, Matsui, and A-Rod. Posada is also showing improvement.

Yankees @ Twins and Angels (7/7-7/12)

This is great crowd support if, of course, you look at it from the Angels' perspective. You don't find this much dedication in a whole lot of stadiums. Hinske homers in both of his first two games as a Yankee, and A-Rod comes through again. But, of course, after watching last night's game, 3-0 doesn't indicate anything yet. -
